I just finished rewatching season 2 of Leverage with my partner, and I've got to say... Eliot's hair was so fucking good this season. it was so pretty almost the entire time.

Day 5: Rabbit, Reclaim

AGJGDFJF FINALLY IT'S DAY 5 SO I CAN POST THIS

For some reason everytime i draw him he looks so young because i'm accidentally overcorrecting since i'm used to drawing older characters. So unfortunately he looks way younger than i meant him to lol, whoops.

But wait there's more- AHAHAHA

While I did initially plan this for GGY week I eventually got the idea to use this as an excuse to draw other GGY designs, soo..

(Not sure why tumblr formatted it that way with 1 of them big but it doesn't matter lol)

I've been wanting to do this for a while, I put the tags of each person next to their design but ofc I'm still gonna tag them in the post itself so you can see their art for yourself if you haven't already. But I enjoyed each of these in their own ways so if you don't mind I think I'm gonna type a bit of text next to them..

@chipistrate This was one of the first I drew out of these, the design was pretty fun to draw but sorry if I messed up a few details, it was a bit difficult lol. The mask and goggles are really fun to draw and they make for a cool design, along with all the glowing blue. (and yes, I tried to subtly include the heelies lol)

@lunzi0 This was the first fursuit one I did lol. I adore the little stars in the design, they personalize it so well and make it really unique. I wanna try this design again since I feel like the other ones show my improvement a bit better, but I hope you can appreciate the effort I put in on my first attempt <3

@carouselrabbit This one was really fun to draw, I absolutely love the eye shape/lashes, it stands out and I always love drawing eyes with a bit of eyeliner lol, the daycare theme legwarmers is a cool nod to the balloon boy arcade machine being connected to them, and was just a fun addition in general lol, I like the style of legwarmers what can I say, fnaf changed my fashion sense a bit. also the subtle paraells to freddy's design is a nice way to connect a bit to gregory himself.

@puhpandas I can't remember if I talked about this design last time I drew it but, overall I'm really happy with how this came out, it's such an indicator of improvement since I started drawing this and I'm glad I was able to draw it better than last time lol. All the patchwork and similarities to Vanny's suit work really well, and the rabbit you chose to base it off of was a good fit, the colors make it a bit more difficult to shade for but i like detail lol, hope you like it too :)

@dykevanny I knew I wanted to do this since I started but I wasn't sure if I'd have time, and I'm glad I did! I hope you don't mind I combined aspects from the first design I saw and the second one you replied to my ask with, I liked the big purple sleeves lol. (I just realized after doing all the shading I forgot to include the oil splatter on his jacket, sorry!) It was definitely a bit difficult due to the head shape being so different but.. fluffy. i love drawing fluff. And the glowing swirl on the goggles, the shape of the ears, I love a lot about this design. :D

I have a hard time with writing compliments but I wanted to get some of those thoughts out, some of the things I like about these designs apply to multiple lol. I adore every one of these designs but I find it hard to put into words what I enjoy about them, hope the original creators are happy with these. <3

I also kept the ggys without as much lighting effects on a separate file, I felt like I should add them since they're a bit brighter lol, makes them look different.

Okay now that I've gotten all that- Sorry this post is so long! I didn't think it'd end up taking up so much space lol. Buut.. working on this drawing and thinking about it and potential context behind it gave me an au idea for it, but I'll put it under the cut since I understand most people probably won't care and just wanna see the drawings lol.

Idk if I'm confident enough to write for it but I'll give a bit of a summary.. I'll keep it under the cut for people who aren't interested and just wanna see the art though lol.

After the main events of SB and Ruin, now that the mimic's been set free, Cassie's taken control of by what's left of Vanny, using her as a new host. But with Cassie being the only human left alive down there, after being reawakened, Dr. Rabbit has nowhere left to go but back to his old host.

Vanessa, Freddy, and Gregory hadn't gone back to the Pizzaplex after ruin, but they were trying to figure out a plan to get Cassie back safely. One night after Freddy and Gregory disappear, Vanessa leaves to go find them. As dangerous as the pizzaplex is, it's her best guess for where they might've gone. She doesn't want to think about what could've happened to them, in denial for the worst case scenario. She tries to keep herself calm by telling herself they probably just left to go back for Cassie, maybe they didn't want her stopping them.. but deep down she knows it can't be that simple. She knows something's off, even if she's not ready to admit it.

When returning to the pizzaplex, she brought along her own V.A.N.N.I. mask, though unlike the one Cassie used, it was clear of the mimic's influence. After all, she was going to need some way to travel through potential blocked routes.

By the time she found Gregory, she'd still been wearing the mask, seeing him down the end of a dark hallway. He looked confused, afraid, his mind was a wreck of conflicting emotions. She started rushing towards him, happy to see him okay, until he finally spoke.

"You need to get out of here."

She stepped back, taking off the mask, only to be faced with the worst case scenario.

It was a wreck, covered in stains and tears, but it was still recognizable. He was wearing that old suit again.

As he waved, she could see Freddy's claws peeking out from the doorway, as the two stepped closer towards her.

So, she did what he told her to do, and started running. She could hear a faint voice coming from the mask, and put it back on before finding somewhere she could hide.

It was his voice again, telling her which way to go.

I guess that was the dramatic way to summarize the main idea behind it, lol. Basically Gregory and Dr. Rabbit work the way Sun and Moon work in Ruin, whichever one is in control in the real world, the other is left behind in the AR world. Or at least that's my interpretation of how they worked, considering Sun was always in mask-on scenes and moon was mask-off. I'm not too sure where the plot might go from there, and maybe I'll consider writing for it, I dunno. I've never wrote fanfic before because I get deadly afraid of writing them out of character lol, but maybe?? I have ideas for scenes and premise and stuff but I don't know if I have the confidence to write it.

But anyway! That was just more of a fun side-idea I came up with while working on this, if you read this far thanks, hope you enjoyed :)

Asra: they just saw it as you being yourself until they had to teach you to function after being resurrected, and got an up-close look at how it impacts your life. now they always walk in your blindspot to act as your eyes and give you alerts

Nadia: so much inner turmoil when she first met you, because she values being polite and respectful and wasn't sure how to do that - does she only look at your seeing eye? is it okay to ask how this happened? deep respect either way

Muriel: it was genuinely the main thing that endeared him to you at first. you also know what it's like to be set apart by the marks of a violent past - and the discomfort of being put in a box by it. the first to defend you from rude stares

Portia: she, like her brother, is hopelessly attracted to people who bear marks of adventure on them and cannot stop staring for the life of her (she's not being rude, she promises! she's just got a crush) likes playing with your paralyzed side

Lucio: in his past life, he would have used it to call you ugly and cover for his own physical insecurities. now, he likes using it to scare shady characters you encounter on your travels: "keep talking and you'll find out how my buddy got their scar ..."

I blame my friend for tempting me into this fandom (they tried to warn me but alas my curiosity beckoned me), but anyway enjoy some drawings of John and Dave:

All started cause a friend of mine wanted my help in making some ocs based on it-

I didn't know anything and it doesn't help much when they try to explain it to me (and turns out not experiencing it first hand and instead trying to understand it from watching summary videos makes even less sense- make sense tho now that i got a better explanation from other vids), so instead i took some fun test quiz thing at the time for my classpects, which was actually fun to do and i only needed to read and share the results which was also very interesting and made me even more curious about homestuck (and the rest is history)

Which btw here are the ocs!

Left is Kyle and right is Ivie, siblings and both are seers, Kyle of doom and Ivie of mind (guess which one i am lmao-), Ivie is the older sis (16) kyle is the lil bro (13), he's also a prospit dreamer while his sister is a derse

Also he was supposed to wield daggers but i changed my mind because i had a cooler weapon concept XD (cutters which evolve into a retractable sword which the blade length can be completely adjusted)

Meanwhile she has a paper fan which becomes giant (and also can changes color and have certain abilities based on it, buut i don't wanna make this too long so ask if ur curious ig)

Also here kyle using Ivie fan (why? Just because it's cool and also- my second top aspect is actually breath so :P)

Cassian knocked you on your ass for the sixth time in a row. You were getting sick of training. You were tired and sweaty and you just wanted to relax with him.

At this point in the morning everyone else was already done. Cass had you stay to give you a one-on-one session. You thought that it would be a little training and then something else.

But you were very wrong. He was strict about your training and your ability to protect yourself. You were glad he cared about you so much but you wanted to spend quality time with him.

You looked up at him and used your best weapon in your arsenal to disarm him. Batting your lashes at him and giving a small pout, you sweetly ask, “Cassie can we be done now? I’m tired and want to relax with you.”

He puts his hands on his hips, letting out a small sigh and dropping his head you knew you won. Cassian holds out his hands for you to pull you off the floor.

Laughing, you jump and wrap your legs around his waist, your arms around his neck and place a dramatic kiss on his lips. He holds you up by your butt and leans in for another kiss. This one longer and full of love.

He pulls away and starts walking back into the house. “Anything you want baby.”

After a bath together, your laying on his chest on the couch. He’s drawing small circles on your back while you read to him.

When you pause to flip the page Cassian steals a quick kiss, laying back. He looks content and happy, which makes you happy. Tracing the scar on his eyebrow you whisper, “I love you Cass.” “I love you too baby.”

this is kind of based on canon so idek this counts buut i feel like his sleeping pattern is a mess because of his workaholic tendencies, but he somehow (almost) always keeps it together you wouldn't even know he's sleep deprived unless you look closely

knows so many homemade food recipes because of his grandma and it comes in handy

he's a sagittarius sun and i'll die on this hill

his spice tolerance is on average but he loves sour things

a dog person. golden retriever personified, if you will. (loves huskies, who's suprised)

i've seen so many ppl characterize him as a serious serious man but i'd like to object. he's serious during working hours but off work sasha is one of the five horsemen of the sassy men apocalypse for me your honor (see: that thumb scene and some of his voicelines are justwjjdkd i love this man)

unintentionally does the dad clap and its so loud it could wake the dead, i remember saying this in my othe posts but in case i didn't, this is canon in my mind lol

can be a little too overprotective of those he's close with sometimes but he's chill

is a tea person, loves herbal ones but has a preference for black tea (and earl gray if we go into details)

his bionic eye doesn't cause too much discomfort now that he's used to it but he occasionally gets phantom pain, especially when he's sleep deprived

other agents sometimes jokingly say that he's a lil brimstone in making and i kinda see it

hurt his right knee during his military service days, and it still aches in winter but he'll take that information to the grave lmao

oooh i dont know what the other clones will have in them because i typically just go with the flow BUT i will tell you what aizetsu's since i am working on his right now will have in it.

for aizetsu i have him as being slightly ooc (at least fanon wise) so he's not like a pushover. he will be acting yandere and possessive with the reader. you will eventually find out why he acts like that.

urogi im thinking of trying to write about primal play or that one kink where the predator hunts the prey (i think its primal play lol), blood play kink, sensory deprivation, and maybe throw in somno at some point.

sekido's i know for a fact his will include brat taming, bondage, asphyxiation, edging, and electric play. some more might be included later but i dont even wanna you know spoil it for everyone.

what was your tumblr blog wrapped? Favorite ask of 2023? Most thought provoking?? Strangest ask of 2023?

Better late than never! Although we have an immediate problem: I have absolutely no recollection of which asks I received in 2023, so we'll have to dig through my drafts for this one (as interesting questions are the ones I start answering only to be overwhelmed by, and then shove into drafts where they are forgotten).

So, looking through my 2023 drafts we have:

Most thought provoking

Which Agatha Christie plot would Carlisle actually stand a chance of solving? Like he wakes up human and is told he's the famous Hercule Poirot, what's the best case scenario there?

Anon has no idea how much joy they bring me when they ask me to think about murder mysteries, my only gripe is that anon is clearly not a Christie veteran because while Poirot was her most famous detective, the woman had lots of detectives. Poirot, Miss Marple, Tommy and Tuppence, Superintendent Battle, or one-off characters such as Calgary in Ordeal by Innocence. The one-off characters are typically ordinary people who suddenly find themselves in the middle of some insane plot unfolding (see: Calgary finding out that he was supposed to be a hanged man's alibi, now he wants to set things right, or the narrator of Crooked House who got engaged to a nice girl only to find out her family is insane).

All of this to say: Carlisle doesn't wake up as Poirot, he is the Poirot, our Christie hero of the day who gets entangled in a conspiracy of some kind.

Which means I'd have to think of an Agatha Christie-esque plot of my own to fit Carlisle into it, and then explain how he solves it and this frankly is a fic, not a tumblr post.

Kudos also go to the person who very stupidly asked me why I'm so obsessed with Alphard Black recently when he's a non-character in the Harry Potter franchise, they got this reply. (TLDR: I squinted at the Black family tree until I'd gone insane.)

•Ok there is a whole thing abt the verbal times in Spanish (if y’all don’t know Spanish is one of the most difficult languages since it has a lot of grammatical stuff, so yall and Sae are very smart to understand at least a little of it!) it’s kinda complex to explain it buut here we go:

-If we wanted to say y/n’s mother is a pussy we could say y/n’s mom “es una marica” first, why not “está”? Bc when you say está you’re saying that it is something that it’s happening right now, simplified, The verb está is used to describe temporary states.

•(Fex: Eita está (is) muriendo (dying) de celos (of jealousy)).

Instead, “es” is used to describe permanent states or states that last a long time. (To be easier to understand, take this shit like the verb to be in English!)

•Finally, why marica instead of concha? Bc we usually don’t use concha to insult somebody, you can swear with it like the Argentinians do (“la concha de mi madre” it’s literally the pussy of my mother😭 but they’re not saying their mother it’s a pussy, it’s just a swearing out of a exasperating situation.) so it sounds better if we call her “marica” in a way she’s a fucking pussy for not knowing how to treat her daughter properly! >:(

hi! unfortunately this is soooo everything that i enlisted @kitnita to ponder with me abt it when i got this ask (as a fellow 2017 draft freak but with more knowledge on robo + otter while i. well. i maxed stats in one man) and we exchanged like. probably over a thousand words to basically come to the conclusion that. Yeah Any Of Them Could Fit Into Any Of the Three Roles But The Vibes Change. and now u get this long response!!

I wont. force u to listen to the full ramblings and analysis abt it but i will say the like. default one? it feels like? 2 me? is miro/soldier, otter/poet, robo/king BUUT the most fun one to me is otter/soldier, robo/poet, miro/king. otter as soldier is sooo fun because he LOVES to be a villain ESPECIALLY to a visiting team ("he will tear your city down"!!!) and he's. its so fun that the goalie is the soldier. like he is more of a soldier than jason "americas sweetheart" robertson oddly enough despite the goalie/skater roles of it all. and also the way he talks abt the game and winning zoe pointed out is very . lol. soldier esque bc it doesnt matter how all you have to do is win.

robo as poet is so funny bc his ass is NOTTT fighting like he just kinda mumbles words at the general direction of a scrum. pacifist poet boy (: also zoe pointed out that he loves to use big words to feel smart and is very deliberate abt how he talks to the media which we've been told many times is Not how he normally talks so!!

miro as king because i need to sacrifice him and make him suffer SORRRYYY his ass is getting put in situations. the brow laid in thorn being a reference to jesus before being crucified LIKEEEE. you know how i feel. also smthn smthn top 3 draft pick narratives abt being Chosen and an Heir or whatever.. and they all have similar levels of cocky and calm but i feel like miro is like. the most Freak Calm. like his family thinks its weird how emotionally stable he apparently is. which feels noble!!! he makes noble sacrifices!!!!

Awwwwww I love how the the little shunter engines play by bumping things, that's so adorable omg- just imagine a little tiny engine coming up to you and bumping your leg wanting to play (of course that would be before they got big enough to cause any damage from bumping lol)

Thomas and Percy likely participated in shunting behaviors too, which is where they built the foundation of their friendship with Diesel. The little engines had instinct but beyond that didn't really see differences between each other, Diesel just saw two more kids to play with who also like to bump things around. The workers were all big fans of the kiddos when they first came around (not to say they aren't anymore! they still love the little guys) and even if they were a little rough, there's nothing more adorable than coming in to work at Tidmouth and get greeted by Percy bumping right into you and tweeting a hello at you. There's plenty of pictures that exist of workers playing or sitting around with the kids when they were tinier. Their fellow machines all very important to their upbringing, but so are the humans! Carly liked to throw things around with her hook when she was younger, just learning how to use it by making up games, though this was a bit more of a destructive habit as she didn't have solid control of her actual crane appendage at the time and she didn't have a sense of what she should and shouldn't throw around. Nobody got badly hurt from it! Buut accidents do tend to happen with little machines, though it was mostly just objects getting damaged. Thankfully the Cranky and the dock engines were there to guide her and show her better ways to practice. Kana was an incredibly hard to keep up with kid once she got her wheels going. Kenji was more often than not overworking himself to both do his own jobs and come see his father to help him keep Kana under control. For context: In my AEG au at least, Hiro was entrusted to a historic railway in Japan that takes care of and preserves old japanese rolling stock, he still does the work he used to, but his current home yard is a very quiet and chill place. It's a very good life for him and he enjoys it greatly, there's tons of visitors every day and he still has a lot of work he can do to still feel useful. Hiro may be an experienced engine and he may be a completely refurbished and renewed one thanks to the constant care he undergoes at his home, but he's still old and even at his prime he couldn't catch a speeding bullet train. Not even one as young as his new daughter. Kana got to rolling right the earliest out of the bunch, and despite how young she was and easily tired she could get, she actually managed to run for a good while before needing a recharge. They couldn't bring her to where Kenji and his fellow bullets are stored because there just isn't room for her. But there WAS room at Hiro's home. Kenji ended up getting time off from his actual job in order to stay at Hiro's yard for a time and keep an eye on Kana when she experienced her engine zoomies. Eventually, a few years after Kana had arrived, Hiro and Kenji agreed that perhaps Kana could stay on Sodor? Hiro had visited the island to see Gordon's children some time ago and he noticed that Sodor had a much more adapted environment for little engines. It'd be easier on Hiro (as much as he would miss having her around all the time) and Kenji wouldn't have to take as much time off of work. So they struck a deal that Kana would stay with Hiro's friends on Sodor (Gordon and crew up at Tidmouth), and she'd be brought over once (sometimes twice) a month to spend a little while with her dad and brother in Japan, and she loves the routine! She has her awesome Sodor friends but still gets to be with her family.

Rating the songs from RUSH! because everyone's doing it, it looks like fun, and i'm a sheep 🤷‍♀️

OWN MY MIND: 10/10 starting off with an absolute banger!!! something i love about måneskin is that sooo many of their songs have such amazing and strong energy and feeling behind them that you just want to scream them out and this is one of those!!

GOSSIP: 7/10 I do really like this song, the chorus has been stuck in my head since i first heard it which is always a great sign, but now that we have the rest of the album it's definitely a tad lower on my list.

TIMEZONE: 10/10 okay here's the thing, i fully understand that this song is talking about his girlfriend and being back in italy with her... i get it. buuut i live in australia soo the whole "the only thing that keeps us apart is a diffeent timezone" really struck cause like... it's true... kind of lol.

BLA BLA BLA: 5/10 i'm sorryyyyy!! i get this song is supposed to be funny, i get it, i swear, buut it's just not for me. i'm gonna keep listening to it in the hopes it'll grow on me but for right now... yeah.

BABY SAID: 9/10 i love this song, i love what it's about, i love that it's so clear he's trying to get to know her better and she is just not having it because they do not want the same thing, it's really well done and a very relatable experience!

GASOLINE: 10/10 i listened to this song many many many times through live performances and the entire time i've been so curious and excited for what the studio version was gonna sound like and i was so not disappointed at all. this is another song that you just want to scream and put your entire chest into it. love it!

FEEL: 9/10 this song is sexy af to me, it makes me want to... do.... things *cough cough* blue jeans and leather look great on people, but there really are some people where that shit just looks better on the floor, ya know?

DON'T WANNA SLEEP: 10/10 because I RELATE TO THIS SO FUCKING HARD OH MY GOD. another absolute banger!

KOOL KIDS: 4/10 how many of y'all absolutely hate me right now? this song just isn't for me, like with bla bla bla i'm gonna keep listening to it in the hopes it'll grow on me but if i'm being honest... i don't think it is.

IF NOT FOR YOU: 10/10 i'm a ballad hoe my guys, and this song is beautiful. it's so fucking beautiful. if someone wrote a song like this about me i would cry and melt and just never ever be the same again.

READ YOUR DIARY: 6/10: it's fun, it's a bop, but it's not a fave, i don't have much else to say about it tbh.

MARK CHAPMAN: 7/10 i can't reeally rate this one or any of the songs in italian fairly because i don't speak a word of italian, i know it's about a celebrity and a stalker from the little "storyline" at the bottom of spotify and that's it, the instruments were fun, it was a bop, damiano sounds great even though i have no idea what he's saying. yeah.

LA FINE: 8/10 it's so much fun, i did read the translated lyrics back when it was first released and since then i've forgotten and i can't be bothered to look them up again for this but it's great, i love it.

IL DONO DELLA VITA: 7/10 this song made me feel really emotional even though again, gotta look up the translated lyrics. but of course it's great.

MAMMA MIA: 9/10 this song hits in the right spot and if i could explain to you why this one hits but bla bla bla doesn't, i would... but i don't know, so i can't. it's fun, it's partially about self expression and only trying to be yourself and having other people look down on you for it and partially about eating someone out and ya know...why not?

SUPERMODEL: 9/10 another really fun one, i think with songs like this and mamma mia, gasoline, ect, seeing it performed live (for me it was *live* through youtube, i'm sure seeing them in person would hit waayy different) just adds another level. also the lyric "she'll never love you, you just look a bit like her dad" absolutely brutal and i love it.

THE LONELIEST: 10/10 yet another one that you just want to put on full blast and scream away the feelings and the pain and everything until your chest hurts. this song is heartbreaking and beautiful and i relate to it a lot. i did also see the performance they did of this not too long after damiano's grandfather passed away, and my grandfather's passing is the reason i relate to it so seeing him just kind of breakdown in the middle... i understood and just really wanted to give him a hug.

and just a little parting note, did anyone else notice juuust how much cocaine was mentioned since what happened at eurovision? i just thought it was funny. he's really holding a grudge over that, which is understandable but still funny. 😅

ALRIGHT so I finished the rest of tgamm's S2 eps so far and to both test out this read more trick that I haven't learned how to use even after all these years and for everyone's convenience, my long thoughts will be in the read more.

My abridged thoughts, are that the eps were p good! Very solid batch all around and I'm sure the later eps will be just as fun, maybe even more! 👍!

Aaaaas for the longer thoughts, well they're not that longer tbh.

I was a bit. Hm. Not disappointed but more, surprised? I guess, that they focused a lot more on the main cast rather than some side character and their story but that's not a bad thing, I just find that some of my fav eps from S1 tended to do that tho! And thankfully, the writing like usual managed to be good enough that I didn't really think that much about it, while watching it.

Anyways, Scratch's backstory that was literally shown for less than a minute. OOOH. OHHH THAT WAS GOOD. LEGIT WAS SO GOOD. It perfectly captured that touching emotion that S1 had looooots of moments with. Also worth noting is that the soda was founded (I think?) in 1909, so Scratch probs isn't that old. Ooh man I hope the theories from way back about how his sailor themed memorabilia is actually for a purpose!

Oh yea, Scratch as chairman. Neat. Hm. Not bad, but hm. Just kinda neat I guess imo of course. Eh ya know what, now that I think about it, the show has been handling it rather well, its not an instant problem solver and it hasnt gotten in the way so far, yea its p neat. He spent the first half of the ep just being like "enjoy yourr afterliiiife [:○)" just to drift to "GET OUTTA MY HOUSE" and that was funny.

Oh yea and as always, the backgrounds were colorfully delightful, the voice acting was top knotch, the animation and different storyboard artists' styles were great and the music remains baller. Reaaaally hope it gets more appreciation this time around!

I FORGOT LOL Scratch's ass being plot relevant is fantastic. Like. Wow.

Sharon's episode was great!!!!!! I love the real emotion of unsure fear, uncertainty, but being able to overcome it due to support from loved one. GGGRHH THIS SHOW AND THE FAMILY WRITING WOO. They always nail it. Seriously I hope that this ep gets more recognition among fans.

Andrea's ep was also fun! Really stuck to their idea of her just being a bit misguided, not really mean hearted. I also love that they chose to talk about how convenient enterprises can unfortunately take over independent businesses and that it's up to the people to choose those independent businesses, not the corporate world.

Libby's ep was p fun! Very nice that she's getting more attention, and that they had an ep based on her love of her family library.

Molly overworked herself, again, but at least by the end she got to have fun 👍

Darryl's was p okay, definitely better than his last one, but I kinda feel like maybe Darryl also could have learned something? Buut then again he's just a kid and his parents accepting him for who he is, is a wonderful message so it all evens out :^).

As for the Chens, they're okay! I like June, autism blast has been deployed and that's rad. Ollie is okay, DEFINITELY overhated like geez he's literally just some guy. Granted, I'm not sure how this whole ghost hunter thing is gunna turn out tho. Considering that Scratch IS family, it makes for a neat obstacle I suppose.

And as for the thing that's been the main talk of recent, The Ship.

Reuben and Pete.

Gotta say it's p good, good on Pete.

Oh yea and molly and ollie is okay? I guess. Not really bad, not all that interesting imo tbh but it's really harmless. It clicks in a bit too much for my taste. Like Molly has been shown to be a bit too optimistic for people, then some guy shows up and is almost exactly like her. Ehhhh, again, not bad but some people DEFINITELY need to calm down, after all the show is mainly centered around the family and love between them, not romance. Just not my cup of milk ya know?

The actual in characters in the show, in their real life shipping them tho, was, hm. Don't. Don't quite know how to feel about that.

Pete and Reuben tho. C'mon.

Oh yea, new antagonist on the way too ig, he's voiced by Jeff Bennett so good for him!

Iiiii guess that's about it! Overall, p good batch! Hopefully the rest will be either just as good, or even better!

As for Steve's character development and praise within the fandom and show. I have complicated feelings about it. On the one hand I like that my fav gets praised but on the other I think he hasn't even had enough development to be this highly praised.

I agree with you that the fandom loves to say Steve's grown up but fail to recognize that a lot has to do with trauma.

But then we only really see Steve getting praised for being nicer now, that's it.

I hate the course s3 took with Steve because he had potential after s2 to become a leader type and someone who actively takes responsibility. Instead we got himbo, sometimes immature Steve that comes through at the end but the characters around him don't respect him or his ideas because they made Steve unnecessarily stupid.

You can have him in his loser era after Nancy, show him heartbroken and off his game. Show him unsure about his future but then also give him a plot outside of romance where he's growing as a person. Steve was the captain of the basketball team and a life guard, he has the abilities to take charge of the situation and grow by taking responsibility for the group. Like he should have put his foot down in s3 to not use Erica as bait for this batshit insane mission. Yes he protected them in the end but he should have seen before it was a bad idea. But then even if he voices concerns the group won't take him seriously. It's frustrating because the fandom praises Steve for changing but he's still underused in the show and has so much room to grow.

Yes like same I also love how steve does get praise but also like he hasn't had enough development. I think what started this is that I also have heavily seen steve and zuko from avatar the last airbender talked about together. hell i remember the first time i was in this fandom - i found articles online about how they were the "greatest character arcs/redemptions," which these two should genuienly not be compared together because fundamentally their arcs are very different and the care put into these arcs are high key different. like there is no way to compare them because steve's arc is no where near zuko's redemption - i honestly think the people online just don't understand what a redemption is.

anyway lol sorry buut i wanted to talk about wwhy this kind of started before i continue- yeah like steve only gets priased for being nicer which is honestly weird because he was that in season 1. just because steve is now seen as a main character now people forget that he was still kind in season 1.

okay i'm going to talk about the season 3 comment because i agree and also don't agree. i agree that there was potential for a leader steve arc but also half disagree on how they made him stupider. yes some lines of him are weird in season 3 but they're really not that different from what he's said in the past few seasons. I think that the narrative made you believe he was dumbier than he actually was meaning he's actually has the same intelligence but the narrative wants him to look dumbier compared to the other characters. the duffers honestly hate anyone who isn't seen as an outsider so they have some very heavy bias so they're going to make it seem like steve is just incompete because he falls into the jock category so of course he has to be /dumb' when he isn't. oky so skipping seasons but season 4 had Eddie failing school to where he had to do senior year a few times and yet the duffers show him as this "cool intelligent nerd," to the party and etc. like there's a difference in how eddie is treated vs steve despite eddie failing in school. it just shows their bias and sterotypes because the narrative wants you to see how steve is just completely dumb meanwhile he's honestly totally fine with his intelligence. sorry that was long lol - i'm tired so idk if this makes much sense.

LEGOT EVERYTHING YOU SAID IN THE LAST [PARAGRAPH!!! honestly the fact that he didn't try to pput his foot down with erica and robin and even dustin in season 3 was weird. like he could have tried to put his foot down but again like season 2 the others kind of over take him putting his foot down! also yeah it's frustrating that people always praise steve when he has more time to grow but knowing the duffers - i honestly don't trust them to do anything with that.
