OH HI I MISSED THIS

oml that's a hard question because. i listen to music pretty much. every moment im awake lol so theres a Lot i enjoy and its so important to me id feel bad skipping over any i love.

BUT likely my most listened to genre is alt rock!! most commonly bloc party, car seat headrest, mannequin pussy, and dilly dally

but i also like music that. makes me feel like im floating which lately has been daughter and tamino who were both heavily in my 2023 wrapped i adore them both

i listen to a lot of goth/synthwave/post-punk stuff. my favorite band in that area right now is traitrs, listen to the suffering of spiders by traitrs its so good.

post-metal? doomy? gazey? floaty experimental stuff like marriages/emma ruth rundle and king woman

and finally im weak for classic indie rock like the decemberists, the shins, okkervil river, mountain goats, all those classics

So I just saw a post by a random personal blog that said “don’t follow me if we never even had a conversation before” and?????? Not to be rude but literally what the fuck??????????

I’ve had people (non-pornbots) try to strike conversation out of nowhere in my DMs recently, and now I’m wondering if they were doing that because they wanted to follow me and thought they needed to interact first. I feel compelled to say, just in case, that it’s totally okay to follow this blog (or my side blog, for that matter) even if we’ve never talked before.

Also, I’m legit confused. Is this how follow culture works right now? It was worded like it’s common sense but is that really a thing?

yknow i never noticed the sheer rareness of images having ids or alt text on this website until i started adding alt text to my art (and trying to remember to add it to any images i post in general, especially text screenshots) and that makes me kinda sad

i thought my laptop was on its last leg because it was running at six billion degrees and using 100% disk space* at all times and then i turned off shadows and some other windows effects and it was immediately cured. i just did the same to my roommate's computer and its performance issues were also immediately cured. okay. i guess.

so i guess if you have creaky freezy windows 10/11 try searching "advanced system settings", go to performance settings, and uncheck "show shadows under windows" and anything else you don't want. hope that helps someone else.

*yes sorry i mean usage i posted this before bed :( i do not mean the hard drive is full aaaaghhhh
