I am going to say something that I think the majority of this fandom is afraid to voice out. I would honestly have made my very own post, but I am afraid of being attacked, so I decided on this ask instead.
A very big part — if not the basis — of the strange insistence that Daemon did not loved Rhaenyra but must have loved Laena is rooted in body shaming. Since Laena is described as slender, and Rhaenyra recorded as gaining weight after her pregnancies, people are not only unable to imagine a man genuinely loving a woman that does not fit their ideal standard of skinny, but they also see that rumoured change of her appearance as a reflection of her morals, even as a punishment.
(I say 'rumoured', because look at the official art or at the animated version of the Dance — Rhaenyra's waist is not slender, and while obviously voluptuous, she is not fat and she still looks absolutely gorgeous even after her pregnancies. So it was obviously an exaggeration by the maesters.)
Again I make a parallel with history — we are talking about an age where beauty of person equated beauty of character, and any slight deffect signified sin/unworthiness/bad morals. An age where, for example, blonde hair in a queen was ideal because it signified virginity, purity and it was associated with Virgin Mary. Rhaenyra's appearance being attacked is nothing else but mysoginistic propaganda.
(See how it is implied that men would not fight for her because her body changed after six pregnancies. Obviously that is a lie, since we know how many men raised at arms and supported her, and not even one of them made any remarks regarding her appearance.)
I have read a fanfiction centered on Laena and Daemon in which the very first remark made about Rhaenyra when she first appears is how she gained weight and therefore Daemon does not find her attractive at all. It's disgusting, demeaning, and screams internalized mysoginy. But women of this fandom are not ready for this conversation because they are far too busy self-inserting in their Laena and Nettles fantasies. That is why in these type of fics Rhaenyra is made to compare herself with them, to make her seem unworthy and undervalued, when that was never the case at all.
And not only that, but with Laena he is marrying a maiden, whereas with Rhaenyra he is marrying a mother of three. So if for some people that represents a turn-off, something that makes her less desirable, then they go and project their own distaste unto Daemon, claiming that he must have found her (and by extension her children) a burden as well. Even though the text gives us no proof about this, but every proof to the contrary.
It's a sensitive topic I would like to expand further because the way Rhaenyra's appearance is approached and discussed in this fandom is very sad, without any critical analysis or consideration. Basically, this is just to point out some things in the way I see them.

I have almost nothing else to add except a small observation on this "but with Laena he is marrying a maiden" -> I think this is something that they conclude because of everything you have said before. Because it goes with their idealised version of the "skinny, love worthy woman" and purity is another trait they had.
Laena was almost 23 at the time she married Daemon, and had been betrothed to another man for 10 years. A decade. She is also described as "bold" and someone who liked adventure.
The same fanfictions I have seen portraying Laena as completely innocent at 22 almost 23 - let's go back to the main asoiaf books and think back to how "innocent" women at this age were even if unmarried - will be portraying 14 year old Rhaenyra as completely loose, a deranged Lolita of sorts (who curiously turns chaste and boring the moment she married Daemon, at only 23, but details because while love changes a person Rhaenyra and Daemon DID NOT LOVE EACH OTHER OK?! 😡) using and abusing Poor Criston - who Alicent called out btw for being a creep - because let's look at it from his perspective :( (will no one think of the 30 something male?!) and being as wicked as Daemon if not more. Someone making Daemon darker and more deranged too, nothing like pure Laena and Nettles who brought out the best in him and saved him <3
I completely agree with you about Rhaenyra's appearance and I think it's especially sad when you see people, especially women, making Aegon II look like he hits the gym every day - let's look at official art of him for a sec - and Rhaenyra like she is Jabba the Hut.
PS: All of this is only about the asoiaf characters and books so kindly leave the lizard redacted show out of it.

Here some random headcanons with Alesia and Isaac as partner/spouse/parent. Have a good day too! 🫰
Alesia:
Alesia is still responsible for the defense of Castle Village, so even though she lives in the Valley, she keeps in touch with her coworkers.
Not an ardent PDA fan, at most Alesia can be expected to kiss on the cheek in public. When she and Farmer are alone, she will show her tenderness: hugs, kisses, and maybe something else 👀
Loves to give and receive practical things to help in adventures: daggers, amulets, elixirs, artifacts. Also has a collection of rare daggers, so if the Farmer has a nice dagger lying around, found in adventures, it would make a great gift for Alesia.
A loving and moderately strict mother. Will always listen to her children, help them and protect them to the last, but will not spoil them much.
Can be a bit of a overprotective wife and mom, so let Farmer not be surprised that Alesia can break a stranger's nose because he said something bad about Farmer or their children. As it is, she's pretty peaceful.
Even if her and Farmer's kids don't want to become adventurers, the sniper still thinks that giving them a couple of self-defense lessons wouldn't hurt.
In the spouse area, she will set up a stand with her bows and a target, practicing archery in her spare time.
She will find common ground with the residents of Pelican Town very quickly. Her first friends are Robin and Leah.
Every Sunday she goes to Pierre's store to pray at Yoba's altar. Later Andy became her friend after constant meetings.
Her trust is very easy to lose, so Farmer should not deceive her. Never. For their own good.
Even if they are thinking of ending the relationship, let them say it straight, and they will separate like adults. Alesia will not tolerate deceit, and Farmer will regret it bitterly if they decide to cheat her.
Isaac:
With a partner like Isaac, Farmers get the scary dog privileges, whether they realize it or not.
Don't count on PDA, Isaac still can't get used to the idea of having a date. So it can be a bit much for him.
Even when Isaac is alone with Farmer, he may seem cold and closed off. But he's not the heartless, and willing to go down to hell for Farmer.
Farmer is honored to see Isaac's sword collection.
Sometimes Isaac needs time alone, and he's glad when Farmer understands him half-heartedly and gives him some space.
Without noticing it himself, Isaac began to flex in front of his beloved. A friendly fight with another adventurer was an opportunity for Isaac to show off all his skills as a fighter to Farmer.
Can be a rather jealous boyfriend (especially if Lance is hanging around somewhere). Even after marrying Farmer, may not stop being jealous. Apparently, the idea that he's not good enough for Farmer still haunts him.
Not the most affectionate spouse, but he tries hard, is pretty careful and gentle partner.
Only Farmer can catch the rarest phenomenon in the world, a smiling Isaac.
Strangely enough, he was the first to talk about children, and he has taken to preparing for the arrival of a new member of the family with all responsibility. A very gentle and careful father.

Yeah, of course I have haha. It’s indeed an absolutely beautiful date!! It’s an old date btw. It was released in late April of 2020.
In all honesty, the devil may work hard, but Victor content writers work harder LOL. Because of the spellbinding Victor contents that have followed afterward – many more dates have automatically climbed their way up to the peak for me haha.
However, I still reckon this one as one of the most beautiful dates among the dates that portray the “on the way to the pinnacle phase” of Victor x MC relationship.

And I found that some of my viewpoints have attained more integrity – in light of the contents that have been released so far and, well... my understanding of life has grown a bit more composed LOL.

The very first introduction to Victor’s “Dragon motif”:
If you’re familiar with Victor’s contents, you probably know that the motif “black dragon/dragon” is often used to represent him. And the “phoenix” term is used impartially to embody MC.
In ancient Chinese culture, and even till now, dragon and phoenix, respectively symbolize the emperor and the empress. The union of dragon and phoenix is known as 龙凤配 which refers to “ultimate marital bliss and peak of love.”

His “lost” treasure, the thing the black dragon cherishes the most in his life – “his Phoenix,” i.e., the MC:
– “The adventurer who dares to embark on this journey of exploration may even find the dragon’s lost treasure.”

– The black dragon guarding its treasure till the end of time is also the one who has engraved his mark on my soul – the person most important to me.

No, by grand confession I don’t mean renting out the entire amusement park after the working hours LOL I mean the thought and feelings and time he had to invest to come up with such a game to tell her his feelings!
THIS MAN’S DEVOTION IS TRULY SOMETHING ELSE! And I LOVE how the writers engraved this theme for Victor x MC permanently with Victor’s CN Wedding MQ, where MC tells him that “she’s devoted to him”~ 🥺
The previous time Victor “literally” gave MC the key to his heart was in his birthday date the very same year (2020 in CN) – “Eternal Promise Date.” MC bought a one-of-a-kind heart lock and gifted it to him. And he gave the key to that lock to her i.e., she gave him her heart, and he left his heart in her care! 🥺
But what’s more significant with this “key” is – the key was with MC the entire time, unbeknownst to her.
This is him telling you: he’s already given his heart to you a long, long time ago. All you need to do is take the next step, he’s already standing there for you. And since you’re aware, take good care of this possession of yours. 🥺🫀
What I admire the most about Victor himself, and the Victor x MC dynamic is that – he doesn’t only “say” the words. He lets his actions testify for his words. And, you’d see MC doing the same when she’s with Victor – they both do their utmost to put their words into actions, so as to avoid the words not being resonating enough.
And to be honest, in the long run, if you can’t put your words into actions, be it something big or the smallest little thing – at one point your words are sure to lose their credibility~ :>

⊳ THE FERRIS WHEEL KISS:
You know, according to popular belief, how you are supposed to kiss your beloved when the Ferris wheel reaches the highest point, so that you stay together forever?? The man really did his research LOL 😭
Victor draws one step closer to me. Akin to crash-landing and losing oneself in time and space, his breath invades and occupies my senses. The Ferris wheel gradually makes its ascent, and the firework display is about to begin. The steady movement of the capsule brings us to the border between reality and fantasy, and we enter the most magnificent dream. At the highest point, we don’t welcome the descent.

But, what got me more is the kiss on the back of her hand:
Victor gently takes my hand and plants a kiss on the back of it. It’s just a soft touch, but it’s akin to a blazing seal. I seem to have forgotten how to breathe. [...] He laughs, his warm breath brushing my fingers. In the next second, the soft touch is planted on my joints, between my fingers.

There’s always something undeniably charming and enchanting about a hand kiss haha, at least to me (⸝⸝⸝´꒳`⸝⸝⸝) But what makes this particular hand kiss so beautiful is – the man is fully aware of just how overwhelmed MC is at this point. And he just “adds more fuel to the fire” in the most “gentlemanly” way possible LOL.
What’s more bewitching than a self-aware, confident person with a mischievous glint overflowing their eyes – threatening to swallow you whole—— 🤣💘

⊳ MOST IMPORTANTLY—
Imagine telling the person you love the most in the world how happy you are because of them, and how you wish to increase their happiness, even if just a little –– i.e., you hope that you’re the reason behind their smile.
And them looking into your eyes and telling you, they “already have everything they want” — i.e. you’re the only thing they’ve wanted out of life, and having each other is and will be enough.
!!!
I can’t emphasize enough just how much I love HOW VOCAL Victor is about these things and HOW CANDID he is about dropping such big bombs LOL. It goes both ways.
You know life is not supposed to go the way you wish for it to be, and you see them both acknowledging this principle. Regardless, they let each other know in every possible way that they are here to stay, even when it seems impossible—
Just look at his eyes!! Just look at them—
Just one look at them, and you can tell just how much they not only love each other, but are in love with each other, and how blessed they are to have the other— 🥺❤️
Remember how I said in the beginning, this date only paves the path for the GRAND Victor contents that follow afterwards? if I could write an essay about a date that’s not ranked high in the list of my top dates, then imagine how big my rambling could be about the GRAND dates LOL 🤡

So, I recently thought up a really fun Samurai Jack AU story about what If Tengu the Mechanic’s daughter grew up to be a rebel freedom fighter against Aku during the 50 years that Jack lost the sword and lost his own way. Since she’ll probably be inspired to me a force for good in the future Aku timeline, I was thinking about maybe having her going through training like Jack but instead of being trained to be a warrior like Jack did, she essentially trained to be a spy/ninja instead.
Utilizing her small, petite feminine figure to her advantage, while also using a lot more high-tech equipment to help out against Aku’s forces (like some futuristic spy gear mixed with traditional ninja weapons).
So just imagine her trying desperately to figure out how to infiltrate one of Aku’s hideouts only to be found out by someone like Scaramouche or Demongo.
Or maybe having her try to beat up some Bounty Hunter’s that are after her, but she actually gets help from Flora (one of the Scotsman’s daughters) or even The Scotsman himself.
Not to mention that I also imagine the very bittersweet ending to her own personal adventure where essentially, she’s an old woman by the time the events of Season 5 rolls around as she finally sees Jack again but as elderly woman who still fights the good fight against Aku at the final battle until Jack goes back in time to kill Aku in the past as she and the rest of her own timeline gets erased as a result!!
(Yeah…the ending of the actual series is still pretty messed up in hindsight.)
~ Aku: FOOLISH GIRL!! DO YOU HONESTLY THINK THAT YOU WOULD EVER BE ABLE TO STOP ME?!
~ Tengu’s Daughter: Honestly…yeah…. I kind of do!!
But yeah…She definitely aged gracefully despite rebelling against Aku at her age as she’s still fighting the good fight while hearing rumors about Jack might be still alive and fighting as well.
~ Tengu’s Daughter: I keep hearing that Jack might be still alive out there somewhere...man I really hope so…🥰❤️❤️❤️
(Her only regret was that she wished that she was just a little bit younger so she could hook up with Jack instead of Ashi. Not to mention that that she still kind of talks like a valley girl even in her old age.)
I could also see her making a mark for support for Jack, it’ll be like his original family’s insignia from the first few episodes where she shows she got big support for jack because she got a tattoo of the same mark.
Plus, I also imagine that she’ll probably be also moonlighting as a bounty hunter herself to support her aging parents and her little brother and sister as well (While also keeping a lookout for Jack if possible).
But ironically enough, this particular Samurai Jack AU is probably my most bittersweet series that I’ve ever did considering the show’s ending!!😅👌
Maybe a little cute moment with her would be a scenario where she tries to defend Jack from a demonically possessed Ashi even as an old lady during the final battle with Aku only for Jack to stop her and explain to her about the whole situation with him and Ashi.
~ Tengu’s Daughter: Wow Jack…your actually in love with AKU’S DAUGHTER?!
~ Jack: Well…technically yes…. But it’s a little more complicated than that?!😅
~ Tengu’s Daughter: Yeah…. I really hope so my dude!!😒

Hi! Thank you!! I make so many ocs that never see the light of day it's not even funny 😬. I'll always talk about my ocs if asked trust me lmao.
The oc I'm specifically thinking about right now is an OC for My Adventures with Superman because I've literally seen every fucking episode religiously lately. Let me tell you something I have never watched an adaption of Superman except for the crossover episodes the CW had with the Arrowverse. But thanks to my sister, I ended up watching this version and I fucking loved it. (So I guess I should say thank you to her idk)
So, naturally, my fanfic brain said hey let's do this and suddenly I've been thinking nonstop about an OC for the current season :))))))
I loved, loved, loved the Worldkiller arc that Supergirl did — its literally my favorite season — and I loved Reign (Sam Arias) so I decided it would be fun to piggyback off of that idea and make my OC the daughter of Reign. And reading the comic book worldkiller arc gave me some other ideas too. What I got right now is the OC — tentatively named Alazne (purposely named as 'blessing' for a specific plot point) — is left on Earth as a child by her mother (Reign) with no explanation. She theorizes that Reign is a ruthless worldkiller and having a kid just didn't fit into her plans. I mean, she didn't care about Alazne enough to even name her. Plus, Alazne is half human with less worldkiller abilities which she believes is a huge disappointment in Reign's eyes. Whatever the real reason Reign left, Alazne makes do as a runaway child on the streets.
Fast forward to the future, Alazne found a few nice humans who have helped her settle in as a full human in the eyes of the public. They were the ones who gave her the name 'Alazne' and taught her how to live like a human. Alazne went to school like a human, works like a human, lives life as a human…as much as she can. She remembers that her mother told her there were other worldkillers who had children for the sake of increasing their numbers so technically, Alazne has cousins. And she wants to find them. So on the side, without telling anyone, she searches for these cousins of hers. Reign swore that they were on earth and that was why they were there in the first place.
Alazne is still part worldkiller too and with all the experiments done on Reign that were passed down to her, Alazne is left with a hunger for the sole reason worldkiller exists: to conquer and destroy. It's something that she has been working on ever since she was a child. She finds a way to relieve that frustration almost every day to keep her human family from finding out the ugly truth about worldkiller urges. And everything is pretty much fine until one day, some heroe shows up on the news and suddenly the places she destroys are under his scrutiny.
And that's basically where she meets Superman and the gang, although she's met Superman as Clark various times before but of course neither one knows that. Because when Alazne goes out in public, she goes out as a morally gray worldkiller, suited up and masked up, doing what she needs to do to help herself.
So, yeah, basically we got a frenemies — sometimes enemies — to friends to lovers kind of shit here. Who knows but I like it 👌 😏
