one of the nurses watched the whole exchange and next time the 118 drops off a victim she turns to Buck and asks really loudly “by the way, how’s your boyfriend, the beast?” and Buck has to explain the whole thing and the 118 starts to refer to Tommy as The Beast™ because it makes Buck cringe every time.
“Is The Beast coming to Sunday barbecue?” “Can you stay with Chris, The Beast and I have a basketball game” “are you free tonight or do you have a date with The Beast?”

I love this gay ass show with its literally life ending injuries that heal immediately, but only when convenient to the plot, and its ridiculous use of modern phrases, and its laughing in the face of historical accuracy, and its kissing the face of the fans instead of trying to outwit them, and the way everyone involved in the show seem to go 'I KNOW RIGHT! I'M EXCITED TOO!' instead of mocking the fans

Anyway, if I had a nickel for every time a series had six installments that gradually escalated in ridiculousness, only for the sixth installment to end with a universe reboot and the seventh installment to pick up in a new universe where alternate versions of the original characters now exist in the distant past, I'd have two nickels.
One of those series is JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. The other is Riverdale

you know what part of season seven is burned into my mind that more people should talk about? bdubs and scar as rival real estate agencies. like. what was up with that. what kind of a capstone to the Thing scar and bdubs had going on that season was that. it was one of the most divorced things bdubs has ever done, second only to that time he and doc lived in a house that had literally been split down the middle two make two houses and yelled at each other about it. even then, kind of a close second, given that maybe six months before bdubs had been scar’s right-hand man of undying devotion. like. can we talk about that. can we talk about whatever that was,
