Hello! Welcome to the fourth installment of the State of The Starry Path and the first one in March! I thought about doing a monthly wrap up but considering I didn’t get much done in February, I decided against it. OKAY NOW ONTO THE UPDATE!

Mini Life Update

It feels like I have so little time these days. I needed to help do some fixes for the main assignments of my capstone project so that took up most of my time and energy for the first part of the week. Then I was focused on assignments for my other classes for the rest of the week and before I knew it, it was Friday again. Man, I wish I had more time in general. 

On the bright side, I will be on break for next week! I can finally relax and take some time for myself. While I will need to do some school related things during my break, the fact that I do not need to go to class means I can focus on relaxing, playing video games, and content creation of course!

Content Creation Progress Update

So I ended up not really thinking about content creation at all this week. I feel terrible about it but what can I do besides move forward? Thankfully, I will be off of school for the following week so I can get some work done on YouTube videos.

This Week’s Goals

Make an ideas list and write down a minimum of 5 ideas: This goal is a holdover from last week but since I will not be in school, I will have more time to devote to it this week. 

Choose 1 idea and start a video script for it: Once I finish writing down some ideas, I’m going to choose one and start writing a script for it. Unfortunately I won’t be able to record any audio or gameplay because I won’t have my main PC with me, but 

Research editing software: I’m going to look for a free or low cost editing software that I can use to make videos. Even though I won’t be able to test it while on my break, I can still install it when I come back to my PC. 

This Month’s Goals

Make one YouTube video: I want to make a Youtube video this month even if it’s terrible. The majority of the weekly goals are going to be focused on this for the month.

This Year’s Goals

Get monetized on YouTube: I want to eventually make money off of my content so I’m hoping to get monetized on YouTube this year. This is going to be a tall order, but I hope I can keep working towards this with my weekly and monthly goals!

Become an Affiliate on Twitch: Despite making Twitch less of a priority, I still want to be able to become an affiliate on Twitch. While I do need to find a way to meet the seven days streaming requirement, I want to be able to draw in viewers first. 

Gain 100 followers on any social media besides YouTube or Twitch: I actually am over halfway to 100 followers on Twitter as of writing this, but I still don’t get a ton of engagement on my post. In addition, most of the followers I have gotten are those annoying GFX bots and it’s a little bit disheartening. I also want to build up a following on Tumblr and Bluesky as well! 

Make a community Discord server: Once I build up a community, I want to create a Discord server for people to hang out in. However, I want to wait until there is a demand for a Discord server. This goal is lower priority compared to the other goals but I hope that this does end up happening this year!

Final Thoughts

I can’t wait to be able to relax and not have to think about school all the time this week. Hopefully this month I can hit the ground running and actually be able to finish the goals I set out for myself this week. Also I do want to make an announcement regarding streams for the next couple of weeks. I will not be streaming tomorrow or next Saturday. Since I am planning on going back to my parent’s house, I will need to spend tomorrow preparing for the drive there and then the following Saturday is when I’m planning on coming back, so I do not want to pressure myself to get back in time for a stream. My next stream will be on Saturday March 16th at 2 PM EST. However, I will make sure to write a blog post for next week! Anyway, I hope your stay was bright and your journey is filled with light!

to anyone still here after my unofficial hiatus, hello~! i'm back now, hopefully ':)

i thought it would be best if i took a break from giffing to spend my time on more productive things (e.g. video editing, which i did do a bit of). but then, instead of spending my newfound time on more productive things, for the most part i just like. got into playing genshin and shit. so that didn't rly work out, lol~

but then i couldn't gif even if i wanted to bc my scratch disks were full. and then after that, even once i was finally able to and wanting to gif again, i struggled to think of good ideas.

but back in december i gave myself the little challenge of making a lockscreen a day (the results of which you may or may not see on here at some point, depending on whether i go back and polish them up enough to post or not) to work on my gfx skills (or lack thereof), and even tho i wasn't able to complete that challenge, i still made way more lockscreens than the 0-1 i would've otherwise. so i figured, why not do that again but with gifs this time~?

this is a rly long-winded way of saying i'm starting a 'random fourthgem gifs' series on here with the goal of posting once a day for 30 days, but with the option of continuing the series after that, too. this way, i figure i can just get back into the habit of making gifs again without the pressure to gif things that are new or make big time-consuming compilations. these are just gonna be little single-source sets (think ones like these: 1,2,3) that could be from something posted yesterday or they could be from something posted a year ago, whatever i feel like making that day~

i'm not even sure how many people on here still want to see FG content, but i'm still in love with them and it's what i want to make! and i used to run a bvndit blog so i'm used to not getting many notes on my work lol.

so yeah. if anyone's reading this, i hope you look forward to my upcoming sets! i have so many ideas, man. the amount of time i spend thinking about them is insane 🫠

 this was harder and took me way more than expected ahah I decided to go through svt mvs and see if they reminded me of my mutuals, but there are a few songs that I couldn’t associate with anyone so I left them out 🙈

🌼 adore u ~ chey @soonhoonsol ↳ chey is one of the first people that I followed (and probably my first mutual) but this is not the only reason why I associate her with adore u. the song is fun and has a youthful vibe, which reminds me of her, but in the mv we also see a lot of scenes that are not linked to one another and that made me think of chey’s various interests and groups she likes ahah and of course adore u has a special place in every carat’s heart and so does chey (at least here on tumblr ahah)

🌼 mansae ~ cora @ohoshi ↳ I haven’t followed cora for a very long time, but as soon as I watched mansae I thought of her. mansae has the same youthful vibe as adore u but it’s also very energetic and when it hits the chorus it puts you automatically in a good mood, and this is what happens everytime I see cora’s tags under my posts. also her creations are always colourful just like the mv and the members’ hair for this comeback ahah

🌼 pretty u ~ lyns @kyeomshine ↳ I think lyns’ style fits pretty u the best. the mv is fun but it also has a romantic vibe, like one of those coming-of-age movies, which reminds me so much of her creations. moreover, they applied a sepia tone to the mv and whenever I think of sepia I think of lyns ahah

🌼 love letter ~ lee @uriboogyu ↳ love letter is a cute and fun mv, with bright and pastel colours, so when I watched it my mind went straight to the cutest person I follow. and that person is lee. she works so hard to bring new content and to engage with other people as well, her whole blog is like a love letter to svt.

🌼 very nice ~ yza @jonghan ↳ I think aju nice reflects a lot of my mutuals’ vibe, but when I watched the mv I immediately thought of yza. it’s just her and her 13 biases ahah (I know she says she has a bias line but no one actually believes her). the colours in the mv are bright and a bit more saturated compared to previous mvs, which reminds me of her gifs, and the song is fun and upbeat, just like her personality. I think yza fits perfectly with aju nice.

🌼 healing ~ mirelle @leechaerok ↳ to be honest, I don’t need to watch the mv to associate this song to mirelle. she is just such a nice presence on my dash, I’m happy to see her even when she doesn’t post about seventeen. what I like about her is her positivite attitude, her optimism, and the fact that she always has a nice word for everyone. every time I see one of her posts, I immediately feel at ease.

🌼 boomboom ~ emily @iiasha ↳ there are two main reasons why I thought of emily while watching boomboom: jun looks amazing and there’s a lot of technology involved ahah also the video starts out mysterious but then turns out to be funny and a bit silly (and super cool if we include the choreography) and I think this describes exactly how I see emily ahah

🌼 don’t wanna cry ~ carrie @art-hao ↳ don’t wanna cry is one of my favourite mv and I think it matches perfectly with carrie’s style. it’s simple but impactful, and the colour palette and colour grading are gorgeous and well thought in every scene, just like every single creation carrie has posted on tumblr.

🌼 change up ~ zai @icecreamscxups ↳ I don’t really know, maybe it’s because of her change up gifsets, but I immediately thought of zai as soon as I clicked on the mv. I just get change up vibes from her ahah

🌼 habit ~ oona @vernons ↳ oona is a quiet and peaceful but constant presence on my dashboard, she’s seems chill and I like when she shares her other interests outside seventeen. she’s that calm mutual who creates the perfect balance with the more chaotic ones, that’s why I associate her with habit.

🌼 clap ~ dasha @smallkore ↳ clap is a really creative and fun mv and I immediately associated it with all dasha’s gfx. she is one of my favourite content creator, all her ideas are so original and well executed, just like clap mv. I hope she’ll come back soon because I really miss her content!

🌼 thanks ~ kale @choibeomgyus ↳ thanks is another one of my favourite mv, I really love the storyline and the atmosphere. I actually don’t know why I thought of kale as I watched it, but I think her style (which I adore) fits with thanks general vibe.

🌼 just do it ~ isa @kwanies ↳ just do it doesn’t really have an official mv, but I still wanted to include it because I think the lyrics are perfect for isa! I can’t really explain further, as I don’t really know her, but that’s the vibe I get from her ahah

🌼 oh my ~ sofi @scoups ↳ the first thing I associate with oh my is summer, and that’s something that reminds me of sofi’s aesthetic as well. seeing her colourful and bright posts makes me as happy as listening to oh my!

🌼 holiday ~ sarah @dkymm ↳ another song that is perfect for summer (and one of my favourite song ever). I think that sarah fits holiday‘s concept the best, even though I can’t really explain why. maybe it’s because I associate dokyeom stan with bright songs, or maybe it’s just the vibe I get from her, laid back and funny without trying too hard.

🌼 home ~ genesis @shineesbag ↳ I don’t think home concept fits genesis, but she’s still the first person that I thought of when I watched the mv. she’s the only one out of all my mutuals that follows all my blogs (thank you!) and we like more or less the same groups/people, so I just feel really comfortable when I see her on my dash (although we never actually talked). she’s a reassuring presence on my dash and one of my favourite blogs, just like home is one of my favoutie songs.

🌼 hit ~ anna @haniehae ↳ the reason why I associate anna with hit is quite obvious: anna is a dancer and hit has probably the hardest choreography. at first I thought that she would fit don’t wanna cry as well, since the choreography for that song is amazing, but I also feel that hit reflects more her style. I have two left feet, so I admire people that can dance, and anna dances very well!

🌼 fallin’ flower ~ célia @delicatecy and mary @efflorescing-mary ↳ the first person I associate with my all time favourite svt concept is célia (who is the first person I followed on this blog). her style is so elegant, so classy, so (as her url says) delicate. I love it as much as I love fallin’ flower, she is one of my favourite content creator and although she’s not active, I sometimes go on her blog to have a look at all her masterpieces. ↳ the second person I associate with this concept is mary. fallin’ flower is pure poetry, so of course it reminds me of her and her poems!

🌼 snap shoot ~ rhys @heartgyus ↳ me and rhys have been mutuals for less than a month, so I can’t say that I really know her. but I often see her on my dash and I think her personality fits snap shoot, both the song and the mv. also since the video was made by mingyu, my mind probably made a link between the two ahah

🌼 my my ~ maddie @kyeomblr ↳ another personal favourite, my my is a cute and bright song with a cute and bright mv. as I said, I tend to associate dokyeom stan to this kind of songs and I think this concept fits maddie! (I saw it was your birthday yesterday, so happy belated birthday!)

🌼 left and right ~ dreamy @scoupsy ↳ as soon as I watched left and right, dreamy was the first person that came to my mind. not only the concept reminds me of her style, but the song reflects her personality too I think. also left and right is coups’ first comeback after hiatus, so it holds a special place in my heart.

🌼 24h ~ zay @dk-s ↳ zay’s style and her colouring in particular really remind me of 24h. it’s dark without being too dark (like fear, for instance) and it’s quite elegant. also black and red is a colour scheme I associate with zay in general, so the outfits svt wore in the dance scene instantly made me think of her.

🌼 side by side ~ alicia @myungho ↳ that’s cheating, I know, but there’s only one person I can associate to side by side and that’s alicia. not only because she’s the resident myungho stan on my dash, but also the mv reminds me of her witty personality!

🌼 not alone ~ belle @xuseokgyu and nele @seohoshi ↳ the first person I thought of while watching not alone is belle. she’s the most supportive mutual, she always showers me with compliments, even when I post the simplest gifset, and she always makes sure to reblog my content even if it gets 2 notes. she surely makes me feel less alone sometimes. ↳ and I associate this song to nele too for a similar reason, but it’s a more general feeling I get from her. we don’t interact much, but when I see her tags on other people’s posts as well, she’s always so supporting and she always catches the smallest details. she really makes you feel like the time you spent on your content is not wasted.

i feel the same that your anon!! i've went on hiatus for a bit this year and ever since then i've been on this road of wanting to deactivate but not doing it (bc i feel like i will regret it) and then feeling better and start posting again and then feeling awful and wanting to delete everything etc. i think it's also about this feeling that you need to always be active bc if not you lose almost all your engagement (which is extremely demotivating). i remember going on hiatus after writing tcp because i was so burnt out and stressed since i push myself to write it even tho i was having classes and extra curricular stuff all day, everyday because i felt kind of an obligation to do so? like if i post on the teaser that i would realese it this day then it NEEDS to be this day, no matter what. it got to the point that i was super tired to even reply to anons (but i kept doing so, because again, these people took time to talk to me so i should be excited and happy even tho i'm not). but when i came back after taking some time (that was like, a month) my blog was as dead as it could be and i had no anons or notes, which made me feel extremely self conscious about things. after this i just been working on not forcing myself too much and remembering that, even tho i super grateful for the community i've built here and for the people that follows me, this is not a job and i'm here to have fun (therefore is ok to take breaks when i dont feel like posting), overall just trying not to feel too guilty when things don't go as planned. anyway massive rant lol sorry!!

SAY IT LOUDER FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE BACKKKKKK it’s kinda tough to admit or talk about bc u don’t want to sound ungrateful …. but it’s definitely still an issue !! i think we’ve all kinda gotten into the habit of expecting more from ourselves than we can offer, maybe. like i started out on tumblr seeing all of these “big” writing blogs posting tons of long fics in (what seems like) a short period of time, or gfx creators being really on top of content w gifs and stuff, so u just naturally assume the whole community is just .. on all the time ! and engagement can have a lot to do w it too. i’ve found that my posts do better at certain times, for certain members, and with a certain amount of relevance (for ex: editing photo shoot pics right after they come out) but a lot of the time, that isn’t practical. and neither is being active w asks and dms all the time !!!

idk the main take away is: we all collectively need to stop giving a FUCK and be COMPLETELY UNHINGED & ACTIVE OR HERMIT-LIKE & LAZY AS WE WANNA BE without any need for explanation 😂

More info about my reason for choosing my Sony a7r3

So, @mirzans​, replied to my “From my own experience switching from Nikon DSLR to Sony mirrorless,“ asking about why I did not choose a Nikon Z camera, which is a great question and something I should have explained/added to my post: context. It is important to know when I bought my a7r3 and what my choices were.

Here goes.

I bought my Sony a7r3 back in December of 2017, on the 26th, to be exact. Sony, at the time, was the mirrorless full frame leader and neither Nikon nor Canon had yet released their equivalent mirrorless cameras. After much research, I wound up deciding between the D850 or a7r3. BTW, there were a couple of Fujis I liked, but none was full frame; yes I strongly considered the Fujifilm GFX 50S, which was almost twice as much as the D850 and the a7r3 but had 50 mp (the D850: 45.7mp; a7r3: 42.4). However, from my research, it was rated as a good camera, but more for a studio setting, and did not autofocus as highly rated as either of my 2 final choices, plus the a7r3 was celebrated for its uniquely accurate, for that time, eye recognition focus. So, when I walked into Mike’s Camera, I knew it was either the D850 or the a7r3. Let me add that in 2017, Sony was making big (mostly) positive news with its a7r3. The previous 2 a7r models were promising, but had issues like overheating and horrendous battery life, but the a7r3 had improved on those issues and was then highly recommended. At about the same time that year, Nikon’s D850 was being celebrated as a great improvement of the already superb D800.

A little background about my camera ownership history may be useful here, too, so all y’all understand why I was looking at Nikon and Fuji, and not Canon or any other brand, well, except Sony.

In 2012, I bought my D50 used form a friend. It was already 5 years old at the time. I owned 2 SLRs before that, in the mid 70s and early 90s. Both were cheap, no-name cameras and my photography sucked shit through a brick, but not because of my cameras. I just never bothered to really learn photography, thinking it was just a matter of liking the way something looked and then taking a picture of it.

Oy vey.

However, I owned my baby, my D50, for 4 years. Then I bought a new Nikon D3500 w/ a used 24-200mm lens (sorry, I cannot recall which one, but it was highly recommended by Ken Rockwell and was a great lens)  a lower end starter Nikon DSLR and a used Fuji X100s. I absolutely loved both cameras. Since I figured that I was going to be trading up to a more complex model and I would, in effect, have to learn a new camera system, I knew I wanted to stick with Nikon and Fuji. And yes, Canon and other makes are good to great as well, but I figured I would stick with what I knew.

Except for the Sony. But really, since I needed to learn a new system, I figured I would go to the camera store and give them a feel, then make up my mind.

Now, to a certain degree, the D850 was slightly ahead because earlier in 2017 I got to use a D800 for a photo shoot for work. It was set up for me (the studio was ready for me, all I had to do was point and shoot; it was a special project that I got permission to do the photography for and, sadly, the portraits never were used) and let me tell you, as soon as I grabbed that D800, the ergonomics, the familiar feel, were perfect. That was one sexy camera, at least to me. Still is.

However, when i walked into Mike’s and held the even heftier d850, it also felt good, familiar, but as soon as I held the a7r3, even before I raised it to my face and looked through the viewfinder, I knew it was the one for me. It felt right and was lighter, and with the advanced eye focus, my decision was made immediately. And as I mentioned in my previous post, my camera guy soon realized I knew the specs and was looking at the 2 best choices for me, so he just left me alone and only was there to provide support, if I requested any.

Now, I believe that things are meant to happen, that time and Life give us signs that we are going in the right direction. And when I bought that first a7r3, I wanted the recently released 24-105mm f/4 G Sony lens. If I recall, it had just started shipping in late November, early December, so it was hard to get. And Mike’s had just one, that was pre-ordered, but the person who ordered it did not pick it up, and since it was sitting in the store (and not paid for) for about 2 weeks and was hard to get, my camera guy decided to sell it to me.

Talk about meant to be.

And yes, for any of you who know me who are reading this, I did get all teary eyed and freaked out a bit. I was able to drop so much money on camera equipment because a friend had recently died and left me enough money to pay off half my student loans, my almost $40K in credit card debt, and buy the cameras. (I did not mention I have 2 a7r3 bodies and a lens for each one: the 24-105mm f/4 and the Zeiss 55mm f1.8 made for Sony.) To me, the whole changing lenses thing is crazy making and as a professional photographer friend of mine said (my coworker who was the staff photographer and was always willing to talk about camera gear and was very supportive), I should have a zoom and a prime, and since I could afford the 2 bodies, I should just fucking get them. No regrets.

And to add to the “meant to be” coincidences of that day I bought my first a7r3 and the 24-105mm, while I was paying for the camera and my camera guy was explaining several perks and deals and things Mike’s Camera offered, he mentioned that there was a Sony mirrorless workshop, given by a Sony expert, coming up on January 19, 2018 at the store. That was when I knew my camera purchase was the right thing to do, since that was the anniversary of my friend’s death and I already planned to visit their grave site that day, but the workshop was at night and I could do both.

And fuck, yes, again I got all teary eyed there at the counter of Mike’s Camera.

Finally, you know that friend of mine who was the staff photographer at work, the one who was so supportive and helpful? And, BTW, who actually has a degree in photography? Well, after about a year of my buying my a7r3, I showed him some photos I took handheld at 1/30 sec in very low light w/ high ISO. He was so impressed with the quality of the images, that he ordered an a7r3 and a couple lenses for work. I think he got the 24-70mm GM and the 70-200mm GM, both f/2.8 and both with stabilization, and either the 85mm or 135mm GM. He wound up using the a7r3 for events and outdoor shoots and kept the D800 for studio portraits. That D800 is such a cool camera. But then again, I have another friend who owns a Canon 5D (also a pro photographer) and it is awesome, too.

Anyway, sorry I shared so much, @mirzans. Guess you can tell I just love this shit.

Sooo I don’t have any gfx to include bc I never actually post them 🙈 so this will just be some gifsets and an edit or so. Just putting whatever comes to mind first here so prepare for my rambling and attempt to be positive about my content under the cut! 

Jeonghan - Okay to throw in an edit I I’ll choose this one bc it’s recent. I’ve NEVER been confident about coloring teaser pics or whatever bc I’m not fast at posting content. Usually I just play with them in ps when I’m bored at work and banish them to the hard drive dungeon. (much like any gfx I make) But I liked this one enough to post AND actually use net tags for once! TLDR: I make content at the speed of a snail. And edits? By me? Ten hours after a drop?? Totally me. 

Lee Know - So what I really love is a good a coloring challenge as well as some Minho so this was a delight for me. Give me a washed out orange stage and a few hours? Let’s go! But yeah it took a looooong time to recolor bc of that stage lighting. Lots of time to stare at Minho that I enjoyed as well. I wanted to make larger gifs but the frames were too many. Anyway I’m about 50% pleased with how it turned out... but it is Minho after all so that kicks in the other 50% heh. TLDR: I love coloring challenges. And Minho. Had lots of fun recoloring orange Minho. Kinda sorta pleased with it.

Hoshi - I will love this set forever even if the size is off and it nearly drove me crazy! To explain I guess: with gose eps some of the cameras have great focus and some don’t depending on the content of the ep. And that bad clue ep, whew the shots were a mess plus the lighting. Usually I don’t gif gose if the shots are like that (this week’s ep was similar) but I just thought he looked so cute that it was a MUST GIF situation! Anyway I couldn’t get the color similar so 18 gifs and a meltdown later I just made them b&w and threw all the sepia and noise at it. TLDR: A personal favorite set. Nearly drove me to crazytown.

Chungha - I think I just come back to this one bc it was the first time I remember feeling somewhat happy with my coloring. I remember finishing it and just being satisfied with a gifset for once. Like a few months before this I tried to make a psd that I could use across the board to gif quicker, but a one size fits all psd isn’t for me. I’ve only made one psd that I rarely use and it’s for certain stage gifs. TLDR: Stevie found her coloring groove here. Likes Chungha. Dislikes pre-made psds.

Hoshi - Yes Hoshi again! I absolutely love to color vibrantly and when I saw the mv and the shots I was like ‘oh yes it’s color time!’ I just saw that carpet or whatever and I was like this should be so rich and it needs red! It needs all the red! Anyway, I posted two sets of the same gifs (large and small) but deleted the smaller set. That one keeps getting reblogged though so I recently just put the smaller gifs in place of the larger set. TLDR: Did you know I like vibrant colors and red and hoshi and that I’m very indecisive?

since i basically just started this blog this year as well lol. i remember clearly that i made my first gif which was a taegyu gif (that i deleted alr because i was cleaning my acc LMAO) but i kept this soogyu gif which is basically like one of the first creations i made in 2020.

OH! this HUG stickers for caratrevival! i just really enjoyed making this and its my fave entry for caratrevival and i remember saying i would start a “create your own merch agenda” i would probably start posting things like that again ahah!

again! the HUG STICKERS i mentioned above! i just really love the colors and gradients are always one of the hardest to play around with and so im glad it actually worked! also some of the illustrations are made by me :D!

idk if its really a new style for me? but this jun edit for caratrevival as well but because this edit is heavily textured based i really had a hard time fitting elements that should and shouldn’t be in it? but nonetheless i love how it turned out!

aaaaaaaaaa this!!! this!! THE8 FAN MAGAZINE! i also posted it late it was supposed to be for his bday but i was late lmao becauseeeee i had a hard time conceptualizing this magazine jsdhhfds i really want every pages of this magazine to have meanings and meta as possible. i collected every the8 images that i can work with. but now that i have everything i suddenly can’t work LOL?!?! plus the JUN EDIT! as well like i said the textures are just so hard for me to make it work.

looking back to my old acc i really think these works deserves more notes (hug stickers, jun edit and especially the8 fan magazine) hahaha like if you’ve noticed these are the works i kept mentioning above! and also this dino edit aaaa ;-; im not usually proud of my graphics but these works of mine is surely i can be proud of! but if we are talking about a simple gif this beomgyu set i just really think he’s beautiful in this lmaojdshfjhdg and i like my coloring here! plus this svtxt crossover edit which i really enjoyed making and its a request!!

first creation in 2020: i cannot believe this was from this year, but its this one! (okay two things, 1 this one take a little while to load and 2. there was actually one post before this but i h*te that one with passion so we’ll pretend its this one hahaha) most recent creation of 2020: lua my loveee!!!  one of your favourite creations from 2020: i like my end of year post a lot but my other favourite can be found here ! creation you're really proud of: my chan birthday set! it was the first time i had tried something like this and its a bit more plain than intented but it looks clean and i like my colour palette. a new style you tried in 2020: oh i changed styles completely in august, mostly because i got actual photoshop now and because i gave up on sharpening. and honestly looking back at things i made before... yikes im glad i learned a lot this year haha! aside from this i became very enthusiastic about making gfx and just tryig out new things such as this comic book style set!  a creation that took forever: oh for sure this one,, it took so long that i decided to make it just black and white in the end cause the struggle was real trying to match 24 different videos kljhgfd but worth it in the end! creation from 2020 that received the most notes: it was this one until like two days ago, now it this (so close to 1k,, 😳) a creation that deserved better: this one, i have multiple sets that did way worse but those make sense, but i always thought that this one was really cool so! a new fandom you joined a something you made for them: oh so many new fandoms early 2020 me had no idea hahaha! but my most prominent new fandoms are skz and ptg a creation that made you break your heart: oooh this entire stage,, i cant watch it without going absolutely through it.. a 'simple' creation that you really love: these gifs,, theyre just gifs but the they look good and hoyoung is very cute so! a creation that was inspired by another one: im kinda inspired by multiple things at once when i make something, so intead i’ll add a few post that made me go in awe when i saw them and that now live in my head rent free. ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ and as well i tend to get very inspired by people’s colouring or colourpalettes!

first creation and most recent creation of 2020: so the first thing i created this year was posted in june (it’s been a rough year man) and idk if it was this palette from wayv’s turn back time or it’s still summer for bts. i never even posted this thing on tumblr omg, who am i? most recent was actually today, and it’s this moodboard for my wip the love we endure. 

one of your favorite creations from 2020: probably this wonwoo moodboard for my future dream thieves series, i just like the coloring for this one and the images i used. i’m a huge h*e for dark academia these days.

a creation you’re really proud of: this gfx that isn’t even that complicated or intricate, but i love it so much. i tried to keep it really simple and i looked at a bunch of references because i wanted to do it right. it’s nothing special, but it’s special to me.

a creation that took you forever: probably my fallin flower set of palettes, mostly this one and this one. the first one because i was desperately trying to get separate scenes with soonyoung and minghao but the color schemes were too similar so i ended up using them in a scene together. for the second i just couldn’t get seokmin’s to look good because of all the dark coloring and seungkwan’s was so short it seemed out of place. i settled with what i could, screamed about it for a day or two.

a creation from 2020 that received the most notes: this palette from snapshoot! my snapshoot palettes got the most notes of anything this year, over 100! i loved that goofy little video so much ; ;
