If there's one thing I'm saying I'm proud of this year, it is my improvement in drawing people and human faces.

I'm still improving and far from comfortable with my ability, but so seeing how much I've improved is encouraging!!

And I have mostly to thank fanart of gtwscar HAH

But ye- I'm proud of my improvement and I am excited to improve more and also include more diversity and skills into my work :)

#YAY!!!#see i recently realised that why ive alewsys been hesitant with drawing humans #is alot of the practice is using real life reference #which is fine but faces freak me out #snd looking at human faces for a long time is part of the journey of improving face anatomy #and that freaks me out a lil #but I'm getting over that weurd fear :D #i enjoy drawing again and just enjoying what im drawing as well as building skills #but yeah ... dont mind me being all reflective and shit #its the end of the year and whatnot

i will say that being a math major has made me less afraid of failing and being wrong. i have done both of those things many times and yet i am still fine. i think its cuz im just starting ta be in a better mental health space in general but failing and my first thought not being "i should kill myself" is quite nice.

sooo glad we live in the universe where twdgs4 was rewritten to be about saving the school instead of the original lis2-esque on the road each-episode-is-a-new-location plot. really dodged a bullet there

dont know if it was due to the cuts and collapsing work environment (no budget for all the assets needed) or what but the school plot is just like the perfect setting for her to end her story. and we really almost got a plot about her.... just trying to make it back to her original house? oof

#my biggest problem with lis2 is that being on the road made a lot of your choices essentially meaningless #like wheres the threat of consequence when you know youll be gone by the next episode anyway?#the kids were originally gonna kick them out permanently.......Nightmare Scenario #the plot of her trying to get back 'home' is so silly honestly like its Just nostalgia/fan bait. convince me otherwise you cant #it makes no sense....she lived right outside a major city... that place is Not safe anymore #it wasnt even safe when she left it 8 years ago girl why would you go back #her finding a place to MAKE a new home and having to fight for it? with a community of her peers who love and respect her? so much better #shes a community leader now :) of a bunch of kids living secretly in the woods just trying to make a safe home for themselves #in a hostile world that wants them dead #love that for her #shes been managing adults since she was 11 and even before that tried to be a voice of reason. at 8 years old. community leader makes sense #s4 is just so narratively sound to me for clems character that i cant believe there was ever any other direction they wanted to go in #every time im thinking about how good s4 is i remember what it almost was......... and i am so grateful we got what we did #not only do we live in the universe where s4 is about the school but we Also live in the universe where s4 was un-cancelled :) yay #shit makes me so happy man. i remember clem is living happily at ericsons and my day is Immediately improved #these little fictional bitches in my head giving me free serotonin on command #it speaks #twdg

wow. Even if you do a really shitty job at it, putting plastic around your windows in the winter helps so much with keeping your home warm. did not expect that much of a difference

#being a functional adult and improving my home. yay #no more freezing to the death each night. im so done with that life omfg.#i slept like a baby last night bc i was actually in a ROOM temperature room for once. it was nice #i think much of my fatigue is probably from being cold all the time at home and at the job.#my therapist told me if you are cold you are physically more likely to dissociate and the first thing to getting out of that state is to #warm up. to prevent being in that state #txt #well. former therapist (dont go anymore) but yeah she taught me that cold temps have effects on your parasympathetic nervous system

Realising how many genuine problems I have because of how irrationally angry i have now been at a couple of people here in my head because they dont like one person on this series of taskmaster who I very much do, even though one of of those people is someone i agree with on most other things.

Which relates, sort of, to one of my general least favourite personal qualities, which is that the more i like/agree with them, or i enjoy someone i dont know know based on relating to them the more judge them when they have opinions i don't agree with or go outside of that, even about the stupidist shit.
