#but i'd pitch them as some of the most underrated eps
Text
I love so much when Doctor Who pairs its best writing with the stupidest aliens they've got. Not even your average level of silly for a Doctor Who alien; the ones where they take their own low bar and go digging. Then plop the rotting fungi they excavated right in the middle of devastating character development and the rawest dialogue your 14-year-old self had ever heard. Peak television.

SONGS I FERK W (JUNE EDITION) 🎊🐶
Hey guys, welcome back to Phil-Tube. I'm really really sorry for the late delay and how absent I've been but I plan to start writing regularly. This should have been done from July 1 but I've been busy. Songs I ferk w (July Edition) will be posted on August 1. Remember, these songs aren't in any particular order. Enough of my apologies, let's get into it.
10. Billie Eilish - Bellyache
Tumblr media
Billie Eilish is highkey one of my favorite artists. Her songwriting is impressive such as her vocal ability at such a young age. This 16 year old will be the next big thing. "Bellyache" is my favorite song from her EP, "dontsmileatme". The simple guitar playing leads to a heavy beat in the chorus as she switches from chest to head voice is the best thing ever. I wish her the best of luck. Can't wait for her album, expected to be released some time this year.
9. Sabrina Carpenter - Almost Love
Tumblr media
Sabrina's album "Singular" is one the albums I've really excited to hear this year. Along w Bloom by Troye Sivan, Sweetener by Ariana Grande & Queen by Nicki Minaj. When she released "Almost Love", I was living my best life. If you know me, beat drops are my thing. The first verse was somewhat simple then she went into this beat drop as the pre-chorus started. I could not handle it. I love the whistle sounds in the instrumentals and the personality she brought with her when singing it. "Alien" is still that bitch. So sad it's not gonna be on her album but Sabrina never disappoints so I'm not worried at all. I know she'll bring greatness as usual. So excited! Another thing. I love songs where when the last chorus is sung, the beat continues. Nicki Minaj did that with "Chun Li" and so did Sabrina. I loved it.
8. Lorde - Hard Feelings/Loveless
Tumblr media
Lemme just say this right now. Lorde is my favorite artist of all time. "Melodrama" was my favorite album of 2017 and "Sober" is my favorite song ever. "Hard Feelings/Loveless" is my second favorite from "Melodrama". We're not even gonna mention the Scammy's cuz she was robbed for album of the year. Anyways, this song is really special to me. This album has been really therapeutic for me and it came in my life when I really needed a pick up. "Hard Feelings" is a rather emotional track with Lorde saying things like, "when you've outgrown a lover, the whole world knows but you" and "I care for myself the way I used to care about you." I love the high pitched sound in the production before the bridge. If you haven't listened to Melodrama, do it. "Hard Feelings/Loveless" is a two part song. "Loveless" had us shook to our core. LORDE HAVING A MASSIVE BEATDROP IN A SONG WITH GUNSHOTS!???! We were not ready and we're still shook 1 year and 1 month later. The lyrics are so psychotic/obsessive. "Bet you wanna rip my heart out. Bet you wanna skip my calls now. Well guess what, I'd like that. Cuz I'm gonna mess your life up. You're gonna wanna tape my mouth shut." Like shit! Good job though!
7. Waterparks - Hawaii (Stay Awake)
Tumblr media
One of my favorite bands and one of the most underrated. Their album, "Double Dare" is one of my top 5 albums of 2016. Their new project, "Entertainment" was just ok to me. I love songs on that album such as "Not Warriors" and "Blonde". Their debut album was strong. "Hawaii (Stay Awake)" being the first song on the album. I don't remember how I discovered them but I'm glad I did. In the lyrical content, he basically wants to spend all his time with his lover. He can't sleep so he wants her to stay awake with him. The line, "a hurricane lives in my bedroom. It keeps me up and awake for a round two" makes me laugh all the time. I just love how he describes her. Can't wait for a new project but until then, I'll have "Double Dare" to listen to constantly. My favorite song from it is "Take Her to the Moon".
6. Troye Sivan - Dance To This (feat. Ariana Grande)
Tumblr media
The collab we never knew we needed but we're happy we got it. When I saw "Dance To This", I'm thinking club music but when I heard it, I was like, "this is a chill song." It's chill but it's really good. Still, "Bloom" is my favorite Troye song. I'm still trying to figure out if "Dance" is a metaphor for sex because he does say, "I just wanna end up on you". I don't know, maybe it's just my messed up brain. This just made me more excited for the "Bloom" album. Can't wait for August 25.
5. Alessia Cara - Growing Pains
Tumblr media
Finally! She came back with new music. "Know-It-All" was released in 2015 and it was such an iconic album with powerful songs such as "Scars To Your Beautiful" and "Wild Things". I was ready to be hit with new music in 2017 but she's back now and that's all that matters. Oh, happy belated birthday. Yay, 22! To be honest, I didn't know if I loved "Growing Pains" or just liked it but when we got to the bridge and she started "rapping", I was sold. "Growing Pains" is about growing up but it's not as fun as you think it will be. She mentions why she has to care for grown if she's just gonna be alone. I think growing pains is a metaphor for all the bad things about growing up but still trying to have fun and keeping a balance. We have no idea about the album date or the name of it but we're excited.
4. The Carters - APES**T
Tumblr media
I've never been more turnt up in my life. What kinda rap/sing masterpiece is this shit. I love it. Beyoncé came through as usual and Jay delivered on his verse. We ain't mad at anything in this song. The video was amazing, the lyrics were excellent, the content was everything and Beyoncé looked like a snack. Sorry, an entrée. I haven't listened to their surprise album yet but I will soon. "STACK MY MONEY FAST AND GO. FAST LIKE MY LAMBO!" Sorry, I couldn't help myself.
3. Anne-Marie - Cry
Tumblr media
Hands down, my favorite song from her debut album, "Speak My Mind". It was a great album opener. Everything from her key switches in the chorus, the heavy drums in the chorus and her sass. Any song with heavy drums will forever hold a place in my heart. Example: "Bad Blood" and "End Game". The line, "2% my lover, 98% was waste of time" has resonated with me on a deep level because I was also going through heartbreak that time and needed a reminder that I was the shit. I will be listening to whatever she puts out but "Cry" will always be one of her best songs even after she puts out 20 albums.
2. Halsey - Don't Play
Tumblr media
"Hopeless Fountain Kingdom" is also one of my favorites of 2017. It's an iconic album. I've been really into Halsey lately so it's no surprise she's on this list for June. "Don't Play" is that badass bitch song we need. All I have left to say about it is, "YEAH, DON'T EVEN TRY. CAN'T FUCK WITH MY VIBE. DOUBLE CUPPIN' IN THE RIDE. MOTHERFUCKER, DON'T PLAY WITH ME!!!" Goodnight to y'all.
1. Cardi B - I Like It (feat. Bad Bunny & J. Balvin)
Tumblr media
Congrats Cardi on your first child. I was so excited when I heard Baby BARDI was here!!! Also, so happy that "I Like It" reached #1 then Drake came in. It was a good run. But you're certainly not disappointing. "I Like It" puts me in the best mood ever. I love everything about it. I have to say, the chorus is my favorite. The flair and aggression that she sings it with is really catchy. At this point in time, wigs were snatched and some were scalped. Invasion of Privacy is still my favorite album of 2018. Let's see if Sabrina, Nicki, Ari or Troye can take her spot. Cardi is comin' for y'all. Better watch out.
Thanks for reading guys. As usual, like, comment, repost, reblog and love. Bye, see you next time. ❤️
