1 - What’s your average grocery bill for the week? How many people/animals does that have to feed? Could you cut it down if you had to? Around P10,000 every 1-2 weeks, which feeds five adults and two animals. I think it can definitely be cut down, considering a chunk of that bill comes from snacks or other fancy ingredients/condiments that we could technically do without.

2 - When was the last time you were woken up in the middle of the night? Two days ago, from the typhoon’s winds. It’s a good thing I woke up because my windows had been open through the night and they could’ve smashed against the pane and into a million pieces if the wind proceeded to push them.

3 - Have you done anything out of the ordinary so far today? I charged my phone through my dad’s car twice so I can stay aligned with what was going on at work today. I ended up having to file for an emergency leave (...four days into my role, how embarrassing) because the electricity didn’t come back until 4 PM today and because I was also unable to leave home to work in a coffee shop or mall with my village still submerged in flood for all of today – which meant I wouldn’t have been able to keep up with my tasks and meetings. It was so irritating to miss out on things and I felt really guilty for having to be absent less than a week into my new job. UGH. Better days, plz.

4 - How long is it until your birthday? Five months and a week exactly.

5 - Do you have a lot of debt? How long do you think it’ll take you to pay it all off? No debt.

6 - When was the last time you had to take time off work or school to attend an appointment? Last Thursday and Friday. I got my job offer last Wednesday and was expected to submit a mountain of requirements and government IDs before reporting for my first day this Monday, so I had no choice but to devote the whole of Thurs and Fri to completing those reqs.

7 - Do you get paid if you’re off sick from work? Do you think the number of sick days would change if you did or didn’t get paid? No. Not yet, at least.

8 - What colour was the last animal you saw? White with black eyes, nose, and pawprints.

9 - When’s your next payday? Do you have anything you need to buy when you get paid? Around a week and a half from now. I have to start buying Christmas presents, for sure.

10 - What kind of face mask do you prefer to use - re-usable or disposable? I don’t really have a preference but because my mom buys boxes of the disposable kind, it’s what I use.

11 - If someone told you five years ago, that you’d be living through a global pandemic, do you think you’d believe them? Absolutely the fuck not lmao. We were all so excited about 2020 and it being a new decade, and people even made a shit ton of memes about “20/20 vision” for years - there was no way anyone could’ve predicted a global pandemic, at least one of this scale.

12 - Is your state or country under any form of lockdown or “stay at home” order at the moment? Are you following the “rules” of that? People under the age of 21 are still prohibited from going out, as far as I know. But generally, the rules are a lot more loose now compared to the last few months. Everyone’s still required to wear face masks and face shields and practice social distancing while all public places have temperature checks, floor mats, and alcohol/hand sanitizers, of course; but it’s no longer out of the ordinary to hear of people going to the mall again or even dining out at restaurants. I follow the rules, because it’s really not too hard to keep myself and thus other people safe.

13 - What flavour were the last potato chips you ate? Sour cream and onion, but I didn’t like them. My parents got me salted egg flavored chips today though and I’m excited to open them :)

14 - If you have pets, do you let them sleep in or on your bed with you? Kimi never liked the bed, so he’s always slept under mine instead of beside me. Cooper’s a big ball of energy incapable of settling on a bed, and he needs to be in his crate to let him know it’s bedtime.

15 - Would you rather watch a sitcom, a reality show, or a documentary? I love all of these and I’m always open to watching any of them as long as I’m in the right mood for them. I don’t have a favorite and some days I’ll just be in a documentary mood, some days a reality TV mood, and other days a sitcom kind of mood.

16 - Do you have a favourite celebrity chef? Gordon Ramsay 100%. He’s entertaining across the board; his Hot Ones interview is my favorite, haha.

17 - When was the last time you did a load of laundry? Not in charge of that chore.

18 - Do you have anything interesting planned for tomorrow? What day is it tomorrow, anyway? Nah. I think I’ll have to do work tomorrow considering I had to go on leave today, which is okay. It’s nice to be busy on a weekend for once. Tomorrow is Saturday.

19 - Have you ever been in therapy or counselling? Did you find it useful? No but I’ve been considering it for a while, especially after the events of September lol. I do believe it will be useful and plenty helpful, yes, that’s why I’m finally warming up to the idea.

20 - What was the last film you watched? Is it one of your favourites? I didn’t finish it but I watched the first 20 minutes of a local movie called That Thing Called Tadhana. I wouldn’t say it’s one of my favorites, but it’s definitely a significant movie for me.

21 - Would you say you're an organised person? In what ways are you organised or disorganised? Eh, I’m right in the middle. I’m organized at work but I’m not super strict with myself when it comes to my personal space. Like if I’m able to keep my room organized it’s great, but if I’m unable to maintain it it’s not the end of the world. At work I like keeping my things color-coordinated and filed neatly in different folders or spreadsheets; at home I always seem to know where everything is, no matter how messy my space has gotten.

22 - Would you rather read a fantasy novel or an auto-biography? Autobiography, for sure.

23 - When was the last time someone paid for something for you? My parents bought groceries today.

24 - Do you have an open fire? If not, would you like one? I don’t know what this is. Is this a fireplace? Because if it is, we have no use for that here.

25 - What do you do with your old technology once you upgrade or get something new? Keep it around for emergencies, or hand it down to a sibling.

26 - If you were given the choice, would you solve a problem by speaking to someone on the phone, in person or via e-mail? Depends on who they are, tbh. The closer I am to someone, the more likely I am to take a more personal approach in handling an issue with them.

27 - Do you have an alarm set for tomorrow morning? What time do you need to get up? Nope, because it’s finally Saturday.

28 - What are you wearing at the moment? I’m wearing an old shirt from high school and a pair of shorts.

29 - Is there anyone else in the room with you? What are they doing right now? Just Kimi. Sleeping.

30 - Do people in real life know that you take surveys? If they don’t, is there a particular reason that you’ve never told them? Nah, there was never a reason to tell people...it just never comes up, really. Even if it ever does, it’d take too much explanation and I never feel like going through that, especially if they won’t be able to see what exactly I post anyway.

Alright, so y’all wanna talk about Corvus and Horror? Let’s talk about Corvus and Horror.

First up, Corvus! Cause it’s a short little bastard!

This is your playfield. Some things of note:

Collectors and Relays are roughly similar, if in an opposites way. Relays go twice the distance a Collector does (and only if it connects to another Relay, but both connect to each other), but Collectors allow you to get energy and cost half as much as a Relay.

Mortars are good on deep amounts of creeper and are very good for maintenance and lowering creep levels, but Blasters are very good for covering a lot of area very quickly. They’re good when paired together, so the blaster covers the mortar while that takes care of the big stuff... buuuut in most gameplay you’ll probably see the Mortars get used a lot.

Storage and Speed are only really in this game, but are also self-explanatory: they expand your storage and increase the speed of packets, which carry Energy and Ammo packets, which is how everything gets done.

Emitters are those blue spiky things in the corner. They emit Creeper, which wants to wreck your shit. They’re assholes.

“But that’s pretty straightforward!” It is! “That shouldn’t be too bad!” You’re right!

“Hey what are those pill shaped things on the map?” Those are survivor pods. You want to collect them all before the creeper gets them.

“Oh, well what about that one pod in the bottom left that’s sitting super close to one of the emitters?”

Yeah that’s the little asshole that caused me to reset several times trying to figure out how to save them!

You have two saving graces here, and that is:

The creeper emitter has TWO pieces of high ground blocking it from immediately overloading the terrain with creeper and drowning the escape pod.

That little island next to it that’s kinda close? CAN link to a Relay. If you put it in the top left corner of the island. And not the bottom left which I spent my first run trying to do, cause I wanted a turret on the island. Don’t do that. Put it in the lower right if you really want a turret. It’s fine, I promise.

Other than that, it’s a matter of mad-dash placing enough collectors just right to gather energy, putting Relays down to hop across Islands and grab the pods (which are immediately collected upon connecting to them), and then activating those green flower-looking Totems to skedaddle before you die. Oh, also getting some Blasters and a Mortar or two to take care of the creeper. Shouldn’t be that big of a deal, only would take what, 10 minutes?

(to be fair, i’ve gotten faster since then, but... yeah. it’s rough.)

And then there’s Horror. Which looks you in the eyes and LAUGHS while you try to save the civilians.

Here’s a stitched together map cause this one has scrolling capabilities and BOY do you gotta juggle.

You have:

A pod above your ship that’s under threat by a store of Creeper that’ll bust through some breakable terrain in about a minute (and this is the least of your worries).

A pod through some twisty tunnels to your right on the other side of some breakable terrain that the creeper emitter nearby will be digging towards.

A pod below that where the creeper will be flowing towards it and form a ring that is VERY hard to shoot through and will take you lots of effort.

Double-up hell AKA two emitters that will be constantly generating creeper that will rise slowly up towards the final pod as the pressure builds, which will be a RACE to beat by the time you get to it.

oh yeah there’s also a creeper emitter right below your ship when you start lol

You enter with no guaranteed safe terrain, no upgrades, and no additional power generation. You have to build everything you need as strategically fast as possible. You have 5 minutes before the first pod is excavated, and 17 minutes before the third one is flooded. Losing any of them is an instant loss.

This took me almost 3 hours and around 15 resets to figure out how to beat.

“...how.”

*INHALE*

Press P to immediately pause your game, which you’re gonna do like 50 bajillion times cause FUCK do you need the time. Also maybe set the speed to half with the little toggle on the bar down there. (See that speed thing? Down there next to techs? Hit the button on the left, you’re welcome.)

Put your ship as far as you can in the top right corner of the area it’s currently in, put three reactors (power generators) in below those weird green chips (techtites), collect those chips AND the red gem, and also save the first civilian highest up (click the weird cracked terrain up top and you can dig it; ONLY dig the bottom half out, top half can be used for more reactors and you need that.)

Unpause your game to let the ship move into position.

As soon as you collect the green chips, immediately go into Techs and take the Reactor efficiency and beacon range.

As soon as you collect the gem, PAUSE and set up as many reactors as you can put down, just like you did with the first few (in those slots). Grab the yellow thing once they’re done, you’ll want that for later. Unpause.

I’m not gonna tell you to keep pausing, do it as you need to. I’m also not gonna tell you where to set up Reactors, cause that’s what the rest of the map around them is for, but I am gonna tell you to mine out the three dirt to the bottom right of your ship. For later, when you can put down a few tech researchers.

You’re gonna want a Repulsor up top to take care of that watertower of creeper about to flood out to kill everything, set it up on short and point it at the door. Get another one on LONG set up to deal with the emitter in the same room you spawned in at and point it at the floor, then set up a third Repulsor as far into the twisty bits that are now right next to your ship. You should be able to get into the downwards twisty, build it towards the top. Set it up on Long and down.

“But that’s not dealing with the creeper though!!” You have 17 minutes to save 3 pods, and you’ve probably spent about 1 of those already. You’ll need to save the first one in the hellmaze within 5. You need as much time as you can get, and you don’t have the resources to fuck around with that right now.

And the Repulsors deal with those two problems until you need to deal with them, so it’s fine!

While those are setting up, get started on about 1 or 2 blasters. Up to you how many at once, but you’ll need two.

You’ll also need a mortar (called a Launcher here). Pick your moment, get it set up around when you start heading back up.

Get a short Repulsor set up, point it right, slide it to the bottom once a blaster’s shooting, then slide that blaster immediately in front of the short one.

Take the long Repulsor in that tunnel, slide it next to the blaster, and point it straight up. Take the blasters, move em into the tunnel. Stick a lamp down so you can hit most of the chamber, should be able to do that in the down twisty.

Put a minirift right under the ship. Trust me on this.

Wait for the long repulsor to heal up enough, then slide it to the end of the path once you’re pretty sure the blasters will hold long enough and point it into the chamber. Then grab both blasters, stick em right in the entrance of the first emitter, and make sure they’re far enough to blast the hell out of your problems.

Don’t move the short one, but you see how it’s firing into the wall there? Mine next to it two right, up one, and then when THAT’S done... mine one more right. It’ll catch the creeper before it floods the chamber, but it’ll take off just a bit of pressure. Also move your mortar close if it hasn’t yet.

Also start mining up just above the long repulsor. Three up, make a 2x3 room, then place a blaster on the upper row as soon as you can. This should make a room that’s not exposed to the creeper yet, but it’s as tall as the room you’re about to breach into from the top. Put a maker (AC maker) set to active in the tunnels, you’ll need it for later.

Move the highest cannon forward in the room you made and open ONLY the topmost block once it’s done and loaded a bit. Now you’ve got three cannons dealing with your problems.

Blast the FUCK out of the creeper and slide the topmost cannon along the top until you’re able to put it right next to the wall where the pod’s hiding. Accept it’ll take some damage and get a bit risky with it, as long as it doesn’t die it’s fine. Get a lamp going on the floor and mine through to the pod once the room’s empty enough.

Nullify that fucker ASAP, you’ll need everything for the next room.

Also build a minirift in that room, the packets take fucking forever otherwise.

Dig a tunnel immediately above the pod below the room you’re in as soon as it’s safe to do so. You can expand a little to the left and right in there too, but once you start shoving weapons down the hole that’s life for a minute.

Send your blasters in to start clearing stuff and slide a Launcher halfway down your new tunnel. Get a second launcher while you’re at it.

Once it’s cleared up enough in the room, get both Repulsors in the room, slide em right next to the supply arms, and set em on short pointed at the arms. Work your blasters into the room, build a fourth, wreck house for a bit.

Drag the maker in while you’re at it and set it up to start flooding the room. Grab the pod once a gap develops, then slide the Maker into the hellring.

You’re looking for an opening to develop in the other side of the ring, which should progressively happen. Turn the top Repulsor off while you have a second.

Once it does set up a minirift right next to the 5x5 chunk of dirt and start digging. You’re gonna want a little room right in the middle of the dirt and a hole through the middle to enter and exit it.

While that digs out, dig a path through the bottom towards the emitters and the final asshole with the slowly flooding room. Do NOT dig into there yet. Set your offline Repulsor to long and stick it in the bottom once it’s clear enough, just under the entrance.

Back to the Ring emitter, take two of your blasters and slide em through to start shooting the supply, should be in the leftmost gap with one right behind it. Stick the launchers above and below it, and build a third Repulsor pointed left.

Back to the tunnel below the Ring room, start building a couple more turrets, stick the other two in there once it’s clear enough up top, put the Maker in the tunnel with em, and put a shield in the entrance of the tunnel to bottleneck it and up the pressure of the AC.

If your turrets aren’t set up for optimum firepower, now’s the time to shimmy them around. It’s tight, I know.

Bust open the roof of the supply right below. If everything’s right it should hold.

Back to the ring emitter, pop a Nullifier to the left of it once you have the room for it, maybe a third turret if you need the space opened. Walk the turrets towards the emitter while you’re at it, should basically be done from here.

Grab one of your other unoccupied Repulsors, point it down on Short and slide it down the double trouble tunnel. You need the space to get in,

Slide a turret into the new space, then when you have a gap get your last Repulsor into the tunnel, pointed left and long enough to skim by the second emitter supply.

Start chucking turrets at shit. Also take the repulsor by the entrance and point it at the closer emitter, then get some turrets (and one of the Launchers) to clean it up and nullify.

When you can do the same with the second one, repulse, shoot, and nullify it too.

Run your blasters down towards the last pod and chase after the creeper. Keep hopping them past each other, at this point you have like 6 or 7 so you should be able to keep doing that.

keep the pressure up on your end or the pod will die and you will lose your progress.

Once you’ve basically run the turrets all the way through to the pod, the pressure should stop building in that room. Run a turret or two up to cleanup.

If you’ve done all of that fast enough and just right, congratulations, you have officially saved the last hostage pod and have basically won the map.

Now take care of those two creeper pools from point 7. You can fly your Launchers and unoccupied turrets back to deal with them, they’ll use the minirifts as shortcuts.

Savor your 20 minute victory. Never Look Back.

All the wishes I’ve made during the countdown.

Hialriously, I made the same wish twice, which I’ve pointed out. I started wishing for stuff about halfway through the countdown. Gosh, hiatus was rough. I’m planning on crossing stuff out if they ever happen. Lol, as if. Here’s to a fab season everyone!

0 days – Can we all just be cool please?

1 day – Beth, Annie, Ruby and Rio all together at some point this season. Like in the same scene. I think this is one of the main reasons I miss the drops in season 1.

2 days – More Judith and Beth scenes (totally inspired by what Christina dropped in her interview) where they have thinly veiled yet profound conversations about how much men suck.

3 days – Getaway car scene. I don’t care if it’s the girls or Beth and Rio speeding away from a scene. Or Beth speeding away along. I just think it would be cool.

4 days – Rio playing Turner. I think we all have a feeling that Rio’s going to use Turner to clear the board and it would make a lot of sense.

5 days – Beth not being able to hold a gun. Until the moment where she can.

6 days – Beth and Rio openly yelling at each other, like in 2x07, and getting all in their feels for each other.

7 days – More flashbacks to Beth, Ruby and Annie’s lives. Doesn’t even need to be to when they were kids. I would love to see a flashback to Annie finding out she was pregnancy or Beth going through post-partum depression.

8 days – Beth touching Rio’s tattoo(s). I don’t think this will ever happen but I can dream. Like can you imagine her touching or kissing his neck? Or any of his other tattoos WHEN they have sex again?

9 days – Can I get Beth recklessly driving her car? We saw that chaotic energy in 1x01 but then she just point blank refuses to get tickets haha.

10 days - Beth and Rio in each other’s cars. We had it in 1x05, 2x02 and 2x12 but I want it again! And look, I’m not saying that they need to have sex in each other’s cars. I mean, I wouldn’t say no...it would be nice. It definitely doesn’t need to happen though.

11 days - I seriously doubt this will happen but Beth and Agent Turner having a drink together. I don’t care that they’re antagonists, I feel like they genuinely get such a kick out of each other. I want to see this even if it’s just Beth drinking and Agent Turner crashing her alone time and then he orders a drink too. Give me all the snarky banter!

12 days - Beth and Rio panting against each other’s mouths again. Rio furrowing his brow. Can you believe that they were so overcome that this is what they did in 2x09?

13 days - Protect Stan and Ruby. Manny saying that he’s super excited for Stan’s storyline has stressed me the hell out. Please just let the Hills be okay! I want Stan to have an awesome storyline but I’m not sure I’m ready to see my bbs in pain.

14 days (REPEATED WISH) - Rio pushing Beth’s hair out of her face (haha, he’s not even pushing it away, he just wants to touch her). You know what would kill me? If he reaches towards her and starts to push her hair away and catches himself. And then gets annoyed with her and with himself.

15 days - I really, really, really want there to be a moment where Beth and Rio team up against a common enemy. And we know that’s going to happen in some way from what Manny has said about them being forced to worked together this season. What I mean is, I want there to be a scene where they come together (and it’s not quite forced) and turn on someone and then that person realises they’ve fucked it.

16 days - I kind of wonder what would happen if one of the kids started to clock on to the shady stuff their parents are involved with. Sara had that last year and Sadie kind of had it when she called Annie out for always lying. I kind of wonder if Sadie will question how Annie gets the money to pay for her hormone blocker medication? I guess I want a scene where Sadie realises that something’s not right.

17 days - A scene between Rio and Dean. Oooooffft. Imagine how loaded it would be. Rio resisted spilling the beans in front of Dean at the end of 2x04 because Beth asked him not to. There’s nothing much stopping him now, aside from the fact that he potentially regards Dean as inconsequential and he may want to keep certain aspects of his relationship with Beth to himself. Hmmmm…i’m not really sure. Regardless, I want a scene!

18 days - Oh god. A significant moment where Beth sees the scars on Rio’s chest, from the gunshot wounds she inflicted. I don’t know if this will happen but I can picture it as either:

1. A taunt from Rio to Beth. Him wanting to see the guilt on her face, to drag up the trauma she’s been trying to suppress, to show her that there’s no way she can run away from what she did because he himself is a constant reminder and that he carries the scars that represent what she is capable of, something she spent a huge chunk of their relationship denying.

2. A fragile moment of tenderness, guilt and longing. Omg. Give me Beth kissing Rio’s scars.

19 days - Beth and Rio eating together. Not Rio eating and Beth refusing to eat or them drinking together, although I need more of both of those things too. Both of them eating at the same time in one another’s company. Even if they are angrily eating together haha. I’ll take it.

20 days - (again, inspired by the shooting in the hotel, specifically in the bathroom) Repeat bathroom sex. That’s it. This show loves it’s parallels so give it to me!!!!

21 days - Beth and Rio pushing each other out of harm’s way. Oh my god. There isn’t much I wouldn’t do to make that happen. Imagine they’re being shot at and they start scrambling to push the other person behind some cover.

22 days – (totally inspired by the new info about shooting for 3x09 taking place at the Millenium Biltmore hotel) Beth and Rio somewhere fancy or semi-fancy. Even if it’s just work related, which it definitely would be lol. And then it’ll probably all go to shit.

23 days - I am sooooo excited for the show to dip its toes into “the adult world”. I feel like that sounds patronising but I absolutely don’t mean for it to sound that way. The show deals with a lot of adult concepts, such as misogyny, disillusionment, boredom with the life you’re living etc. And it’s amazing in that it does so in such a dynamic, fun way that doesn’t detract from how serious the issues are but just highlights that a lot of us have these problems but just kind of continue to bumble along living our lives.

What I mean by “the adult world” is related to the strip club that has been theorised to be Stan’s place of employment in season 3. I didn’t really think we would see something like this in GG and it makes me happy that doors seem to be opening into parts of the world we haven’t seen before in the show. I dunno, I just really want to see how it’s included in the wider storyline. Like, will the girls wash cash through it? Haha, I kind of just want to see all 3 of the girls in the strip club and how they act in there.

24 days - Will we ever find out what happened to Beth and Annie’s parents? I really want to know! Are they alive, dead, divorced, together?

25 days - Beth playing piano. I seriously doubt it will ever happen other than in fanfic but I want to see it. And Beth singing. So basically, Beth playing piano and singing.

26 days - A really heartfelt scene where Beth looks at Marcus and thinks of Rio. Maybe sees some of Rio’s traits in him and she just looks and OMG THE PAIN.

Seriously though, who thinks:

(1) Marcus is going to recognise Beth and she will explain to Rhea that she met Rio and Marcus in the park.

(2) The writers ignore the fact that Marcus should recognise Beth and Rhea thinks that this is literally Beth’s first time meeting Marcus.

27 days - Ruby and Annie realising who Rhea is and what Beth is doing. Even though it looks like a great storyline and I’m excited to see it unfold, it’s super unhealthy and deceitful behaviour. I wonder if Rhea will ever find out who Beth really is?

28 days - You know what? Screw it! I want to wake up to the trailer. Bye.

29 days - Ruby and Annie becoming aware of the nature of Beth and Rio’s relationship. Pretty sure I’ve done a wish like this before (wanting Annie and Ruby to call Beth out for feeling relieved that Rio is alive). But I’d really like to see them realise that Beth and Rio’s relationship was far more complex than just sex and eye fucking.

30 days - Beth feeling sad about Rio. Sitting on the couch thinking about him. Lying in bed thinking about him. Going to the park and thinking about him. Standing in front of the fridge and thinking about him. Looking at the picnic bench and thinking about him.

31 days - Rio’s boys knowing what’s up between him and Beth. I loooove it whenever people realise or know what’s going on between the two of them and are either confused, horrified or amused by it.

32 days - Can we meet another crime boss or kingpin? I wonder if that would make the season too crowded since there already seem to be quite a few new characters and a lot going on because of the fallout from season 2. I just really want to meet someone else who is actually dangerous to the girls. I think Rio can be dangerous to the girls, especially now, but he and Beth have a lot of history and that affects how he interacts with her.

33 days - More Gretchen! She was under utilised in season 2. I’m not sure why but maybe they filmed scenes and decided to cut them out after. With everything going on with Rio and Jimmy, it only makes sense that she’ll be in the picture.

34 days - Flashback to Rio teaching Beth how to use a gun. “Just like we practiced.”

35 days - Sadie with Dakota. Annie with Dakota. Nancy with Dakota. Beth with Dakota. Greg with Dakota. I want a baby on the show other than Mary Pat’s!!

36 days - I really, really want a moment where Beth and Rio are standing or sitting next to each other. We had it in 2x03 in the park but they were sitting on different benches haha. We also had it when they were sitting in eachothers’ cars. And again in 2x08 with the picnic bench scene (I could ugly cry just thinking about it). They are so often depicted standing opposite one another (even in 2x04 and 2x09), positioned as though they are semi-antagonists sometimes and as equals at others.

I just want something where either:

1. They are standing next to one another against a common enemy. Like, on the same side. I can picture them joining forces, even if it’s just temporarily, against a common enemy. Maybe even permanently if it’s at the end of the season? (Or season 4?)

2. They are sitting next to one another watching something in front of them. Maybe they’re sitting talking about business and then it shifts into something quiet and content, like watching Jane and Marcus play in the park. And then just turning to look at each other with something on their faces.

37 days - At some point in the season, Rio pushing Beth’s hair off of her face (bahaha, he’s never actually pushing her hair off her face, he just wants to touch her). Maybe it’ll be towards the end of the season when their has been some kind of resolution or tentative healing between them. Or maybe it’ll be because he can’t quite help himself. Or maybe he’ll be in the middle of doing it before he even realises.

38 days - Backstory for how Rhea and Rio met and got together. How much she knows about his life and why they split up. Maybe some info about his family and his real name (I do actually like Christopher now).

39 days - Annie, Ruby and Rio scenes. We were robbed I tell you!!!! I would have killed to see more of them in 2x10 and I’m holding out hope for season 3. It’ll be so interesting, as neither Annie or Ruby shot Rio. And I think they’re going to be really curious as to why Beth and Rio are still undoubtedly going to be orbiting around one another. I just need some scenes where Annie and Ruby are scared but then it shifts into them hesitating to ask him questions and then just borderline interrogating him.

40 days - A major Beth and Dean confrontation. Like, something that absolutely drags all of his wrongdoings out and lays them on the table. If he tries to make excuses, I want her to call him out and absolutely wreck him. If he tries to flip it around and blame her, I hope she completely obliterates him. Fuck that guy.

41 days - Sadie and Sara in scenes together. And like basically parenting the other kids. These two have such strong presences on screen, I need them in a scene together. You know they would kill it. Also, Beth and Ruby are besties and Annie is Beth’s sister but we never really see their kids interact with one another.

42 days - Beth in a dress at least 4 times OR those t-shirts that she wears when she’s in the house chilling (I specifically remember the grey one in 2x07 and the pink one in 2x10). And Rio seeing her all of those times. More up and down looks regardless of what she’s wearing. Can you imagine though? Given the weight of their history, it almost being a habit, can’t quite help himself, doesn’t actually care because he likes looking and it sets her off kilter.

43 days - Dean moving out at some point and a divorce. I mean, all that stuff costs money but please don’t drag it out. At the very least, I need this to happen before the end of season 3. Like, if this doesn’t happen, the chat that Beth and Dean had with the kids in season 2 would have meant nothing.

44 days - An indication at some point that Beth is relieved that Rio’s alive, rather than just scared. Like maybe she says it to him towards the end of the season or Annie or Ruby call her out for looking at him a certain way or for her conflicted feelings, given that he’s probably going to be spending this season terrorising them.

45 days - More Nancy and Annie scenes. Maybe with Annie helping out with Dakota or giving advice. And then Nancy helping Annie navigate stuff with Sadie.

46 days- Beth doing something to protect or help Rio, maybe even save his life. Not because she wants anything in return but because she doesn’t want to see him hurt or in trouble anymore. I low-key think that towards the end of the season she might do something to help him and, as a result, it’s pretty clear that what’s going on between them is more than how fucked up their relationship is inevitably going to be throughout most of the season. Haha, I’m probs wrong though.

47 days- Beth and Rio have angry sex. On a table. Or anywhere really.

48 days - Can Dean just get what’s coming? I’m sorry but it wasn’t enough that he was shot, especially with all the shit he did in season 2. And please bring up the cancer lie. I just need retribution. Anything. PLEASE.

49 days - Actual mental health consequences for Beth after being kidnapped and shooting Rio. There’s no way anyone could walk away from that unscathed, especially since she cared about him. The show’s touched on issues like binge eating and post-partum depression and I’m curious to see if and how they can incorporate anxiety disorders, like PTSD. I need at least one scene where Beth experiences a physiological fight or flight reaction or wakes up from a nightmare or has a flashback or hypervigilance. Just something to acknowledge that it’s normal to walk away from trauma and not be okay afterwards.

50 days - No more paying people off unless it actually makes sense or will work.

51 days – (POTENTIAL SPOILER) An extremely satisfying scene where Boomer dies. From the spoilers, it looks like Rio’s gonna be shooting someone in front of the girls. Please God, let it be Boomer. It would be amazing if he shot Boomer and Annie just had a total non-reaction or wasn’t frightened.

52 days - Please god, Rio interacting with Beth’s kids again and Beth interacting with Marcus. I especially need to see him interacting with Jane since it looks like Marcus is her bestie.

53 days - More scenes with Beth and Turner. For me at least, their scenes were some of my favourites in season 2. The way that Turner’s always chasing after Beth, trying to pin her for something and how she’s always getting away and sassing him. And, oh my god, I really want their reunion in season 3 to be good.

54 days - More context for Rio’s actions. Now that Rio is presumably going to be working with Turner, I feel like we need more scenes of Rio, out with Beth and the girls, for plot progression. It’s fun theorising on Tumblr and reading explanations in fic but I need the show to help him make sense. The show is about the girls and should always be but I need some things to make more sense.

55 days - With Beth becoming her own boss, I really want some doors to open into the dark underbelly of Detroit. I want to meet new characters who are criminals and who the girls have to be really weary of when they’re navigating their new business.

56 days - I really wanna see Annie, Ruby and Beth interact more with each other’s kids but, more than that, I want to see Stan with Sadie and with Beth’s kids because talk about wholesome.

57 days - The return of Beth’s pearls. I don’t even care what the context is at this point but I would die if we had either:

1. Rio using the pearls as a way of fucking with Beth when she thinks he’s still dead / using them to announce that he’s not dead

2. A Rio POV scene where we see him take out the pearls from wherever he keeps them and like touch or hold them and then the show cuts to a scene with Beth (this will never happen in a million years but I can dream)

58 days - A scene where Turner tells Rio about Beth’s lie in 1x05. I kind of picture a scene where Turner is being snarky about it but also failing to hide his curiosity as to whether or not anything ever happened between them. The other scenario I picture this happening in is Turner slowly realising over a few episodes that Rio and Beth had more than just a “work” relationship and he tells the story just to see Rio’s reaction.

1. What takes up too much of your time?

Netflix. Since I’m on spring break, I’ve been relaxing by just going through episodes at a time. I’m limiting myself to four episodes maximum in a day. 😂

2. What makes your day better?

Getting extra sleep!

3. What’s the best thing that happened to you today?

I managed to finish a good chunk of my homework, and I’m hoping I can finish the rest by the time I head back to school.

4. What fictional place would you like to go to?

I don’t really know?? I used to say Hogwarts, but like definitely a post-Harry Potter world (as much as I love magic, I’m not looking to be killed by Voldemort) Now, I feel like any place that’s got magic and is generally peaceful is fine with me, haha

5. Are you good at giving advice?

Ehh, it depends for me too. I’m horrible at relationship advice, and I’m always like”Why are you asking me?? I’ve literally only been on a handful of dates”. I’m more of a shoulder to lean on and someone to empathize with rather than someone who gives out advice. I feel weird about it, like I’m being pushy and telling people what to do or something?

6. Do you have any mental illnesses?

No, I do get anxious about things but it’s not the extent of being a constant looming presence in my life (which I’m really thankful for)

7. Have you ever experienced sleep paralysis?

Nope! (also thankful for this lol)

8. What musician inspired you the most?

Kacey Musgraves! I really am not a country music kind of person, but she is such a talented lyricist and singer, and she has such a soothing voice! Her lyrics are also witty and fun to decipher.

9. Have you ever fallen in love?

Twice, but they were very innocent and naive. I liked someone from kindergarten all the way until 7th grade, and then someone else from 8th grade until 11th grade. Both times, I was like head over heels, but both times we were just friends and I never confessed.

10. What’s your dream date?

Honestly just doing anything that keeps us moving (going to the beach, party, carnival) I hate having to sit in one place for long and I’d be pretty antsy 😂

11. What do others notice about you?

That I’m tiny! And that I look young for my age.

12. What’s an annoying habit you have?

When I get nervous or bored, I pick at the skin on my thumbs. I know it’s so bad, but I’ve been doing this since I was a kid, and I’m glad it’s gotten A LOT better since then (i made the main character in the upcoming ksoo fic have this habit too haha)

13. Do you still talk to your first love?

No, we stopped talking in high school and grew apart. But we didn’t end our friendship on bad terms or anything, we just had really different friend groups and interests by then.

14. How many exes do you have?

Zero!

15. How many songs are in your playlist?

Oh god I have too many playlists. I have one I listen to before I go to bed and it has like 200 songs.

16. What instruments can you play?

A tiny tiny tiny bit of piano.

17. Who do you have the most pictures of?

School pictures. Like pictures of stuff we made in my class because we have to make a portfolio of everything we did at the end of the semester 😂

18. Where would you like to go before you die?

Also Japan! Or South Korea.

Aries!

20. Do you relate to it?

Aries are like the stubborn, hot-headed people right? That’s definitely me. Like I’m a big listener and listen more than I talk, but if I really disagree with someone and our decision is gonna end up affecting something big (grades, other people, etc.) then I am always 100% backing my own opinion and trying to convince the other person to see the same thing or at least see some of the benefits of it.

21. What is happiness to you?

Finding a bit of peace where you can relax and know that even if other stuff is stressing you out right now, you have this moment to just focus on the here and now.

22. Are you going through anything right now?

I’m always going through it. I’ve got a 12 page (minimum) paper due at the end of the semester, and I’ve been so annoyed with the fact that I can’t work on continuing fics. It’s been months since I updated anything, and I know that I have school stuff to take care of first, but it still gets to me seeing all these projects I wanted to have gotten done by now.

23. What’s the worst decision you ever made?

Literally any decision where I decided not to speak up when I was feeling lost or unsure.

24. What’s your favorite store?

Ooh, this is a hard one. Maybe Sephora?

25. (HALFWAY!) What’s your opinion on abortion?

Pro-choice. I don’t like to judge others for their decisions, and hope that they respect mine as well. Forcing other people to go through with a pregancy that they aren’t prepared for/that they don’t want/that could end up being terrible for their health is wrong to me.

26. Do you keep a bucket list?

Mentally, but I’ve been trying to get in the habit of writing one out. I do have tiny lists on my phone or on post-its (shopping list, homework to do, due dates)

27. Do you have a favourite album?

I can’t pick one! Some of my favorites are Gfriend’s Rainbow and Snowflake albums, EXO-CBX’s Blooming Days, EXO’s Exodus and of course, Jongdae’s April, and a Flower! I also used to love BTS’s The Most Beautiful Moment in Life Pt. 2 (I listened to that on repeat for a good month or so omg)

28. What do you want for your birthday?

A durable and cute purse. I’ve been using the same one since high school, and it’s still holding up but I want a more “professional” and “mature” looking one.

That I’m quiet. 😂 People assume that I’m very shy (which is partly true) or that I don’t want to talk to them (which is almost never the case)

Kids think I’m a teenager, people at school think I’m a freshman or sophomore in college.

I really don’t have a preference. I’m of the mindset where if I get married, great! If I don’t, that’s still great! I’m glad to just have supporting friends and family, and while it would be nice to be married, it’s not something that I feel I need.

DWTS Season 27 Trash Thoughts

Guys. I know you missed me. It’s been while since I did this. Little info, I watch it live, then I rewatch it when I avoid work on Tuesdays and type up my thoughts while watching. I am gonna say straight off the bat this is a weird season. There was no CLEAR CUT winner. And I think that leaves the playing field wide open. Which is good for some of the contestants. OKAY onwards to the ramblings!

Opening Number: Chaotic. Like that is my main thought. Pretty but chaotic. The costumes we pretty though. The ending was cute though. And I love the partnerships this season so much.

MLR & Sasha: I didn’t grow up with her, so I don’t really care one way or the other for her and when you pair her with Sasha she was doomed for me. The dance was cute. She was super excited and overly bouncy and got off time a few times and missed some spots BUT Sasha did great choreography I will say. She seemed like she was trying to pose a lot also. Gah Sasha annoys me. Just his face. Anyway. They were giving her some good feedback overall. Does she have a lisp? Not that anything is wrong with that, I am just genuinely curious. Scores 6-7-6. My Unwanted and Unwarranted 4th Judge Vote: 6

Milo & Wit: So I had no idea who he was until the GMA reveal, then my kid came home one day and said he wanted to watch Z-O-M-B-I-E-S and now we have watched it 64 times. He’s cute and sweet and I like him. I didn’t like their package because it was ALL about Wit’s zombie questions. He has a natural charisma and stage presence. He was really good tonight. And it wasn’t awkward or anything like some teen boys get. It was real good! Good critiques imo. He’s so articulate for a 17 year old boy. 7-6-7. 4th Judge me: 7.5

Evanna & Keo: I’m going to start before I watch saying Len is on crack. Okay on to the package. She’s cute, but unfortunately they gave her a shit spot in the lineup and she has a bit of a forgettable quality to her. I called my Memaw after the show and she asked if Keo danced tonight. So…. The dance was pretty. The solo parts at the beginning were really good then they got in hold and Keo just seems so rushy and like he’s throwing her around. But her lines were beautiful and their outfits look like James and Sharna. Shitty score from Len. 7-5-6. 4th judge me: 7

Danelle & Artem: Preparing myself to cry now. I was SO ANXIOUS for this but MY MAN DELIVERED!! I loved him teaching her. He was SO patient and kind and loving and gah I love him so much more now. She learns by touching. You can see in the beginning how anxious she was until Artem gets her down those stairs and the smile just illuminates and GAH ALL THE TEARS. And his choreography was beautiful and perfect for her. The trust already and the tears and omg I am sobbing again. And her amazing puppy!!! GAH I love this partnership so much. LMAO Bruno showing her the muscle like she can see it. When I first watched this, I was utterly speechless. I had NO WORDS. Carrie Ann is me. 6-6-6 4th Judge me 7

Bobby & Sharna: WHEW Bobby. Okay let’s do this buddy. I always die at these “meet your partner” things that happen 2 weeks after they have met. OMG I loved the package. OKAY the dance. He needs to shut his mouth but he didn’t get off time for most of the dance. His kicks were in time but he needs to shut his mouth my GOD. Then he just got so damn EXCITED. OMG he is so excited. WOW. Woah. I am having secondhand embarrassment for that ending. But god his enthusiasm. The critiques were good though. He went FULL FREAKING BRUNO. Wow, he was just so excited. I am just like woah. He is the most memorable part of this entire opening and I think that was an actually good play right then and if Sharna wasn’t SO surprised I would think they planned it. 7-6-7 4th Judge Me: 7 until the end LOL

JP & Cheryl: gotta bring in Jodie and Cameron of course lol. I am expecting a TON from him. They have the chemistry. But like he really only danced half the time. I was just really let down from this one. But he will make it through because he’s hot af. And I 100% agree with the judges for this one. 7-7-8 4th Judge Me: 7

Nikki & Gleb: No truer statement has been made than “you look like you should be constantly emerging from a pool in slow motion that is how hot you are”. I heard no lies there Nikki. Unfortunately, doing a Salsa after JP was her downfall. Also she doesn’t move those hips that much. But yeah she’s going home tonight. She was excited though. 6-5-6 4th Judge Me: 5

Alexis & Alan: I’ll be honest, I chose not to watch them last night. I had other shit to do. I love Alan though. I really do. He did not make it easy on her. And they are cute af. She missed some hand grabs but overall a very cute little routine. They cute though. I ship em. Why not, I ship everyone else. Critiques were good. Look at those intertwined fingers man. They’d have pretty babies. 7-7-7 4th judge me: 7

John & Emma: He was not nearly as bad as I anticipated. Cute little intro. That southern accent though, that was a choice. His Frame needs work but it was a stellar effort and the man can kick higher than me. Good critiques and scores. I was just meh about it. 7-5-6 4th Judge Me: 6

Tinashe & Brandon: She seems braggy some. OMG Brandon is adorable. I expect a Lot from this dance. And overall it was good. Halfway through she just seemed a little lost but overall it was decent. She was so over-hyped though imo. I liked Alexis’ Jive wayyyyyyy more. Good critiques though. 8-7-8 4th Judge me: 7

Nancy & Val: I hate her outfit. She looks pretty but I hate that dress. SORRY GOT SIDETRACKED. Watched Rashad with the costume designers. I still can’t believe they got quickstep on night one. That’s rough. It wasn’t bad but it was so mediocre and it was good for a nondancer doing a freaking quickstep. Good critiques. 6-6-6 4th Judge me: 6

Jenna and Joe: I’m sorry. I can’t watch the dance again. I saw it last night. It was decent until it went off the freaking rails. Their package was cute though and he’s realllllll cute. Her fangirling was cute. And she looks freaking stunning. HARSH critiques. Pretty unnecessarily harsh imo. He can redeem himself tonight because we all know he isn’t going home tonight. 5-4-5 4th Judge me: 5

Demarcus & Linds: He’s pretty. He’s charismatic. He is freaking ripped. He has Linds. He’s not going anywhere for a LONG while. I liked them. I feel like there is some Football Fatigue. The dance was good. Real good like we expected. He isn’t as good as Rashad but he has a looooooot of potential. He got a bit overzealous once or twice and I thought he was going to chunk linds across the floor LMAO. 8-7-8 4th Judge me: 8

strip that down on the charts

I don’t know if you’ve heard but Liam Payne released this song called “Strip That Down,” and like it’s totally smashing, or maybe it’s definitely a flop. Because, like, it peaked at #441 on Icelandic Hits Bi-Monthly and everyone knows that’s the chart that really matters. But it was also the most played song in the 9 o’clock hour on KISZ 104.7 in Kennebunkport, Maine, which is totally unheard of for a debut single released by an artist with four (... sometimes five?) vowels in their name. Or something.

AKA a post in which I attempt to break down how Strip That Down has been doing on the (mostly US) charts (and what those charts actually mean) because every time I run across another poorly argued stan war a little piece of my soul dies, and I’m already running dangerously low on soul.

So, how much success has Strip That Down had? The answer is, of course, it depends. On worldwide streaming services? Fucking excellent. On US digital sales for a One Direction member? Pretty dire. Overall as a debut single? As with any serious question asked to a magic 8-ball, too soon to tell. So, like, let’s just get into some charts.

The Hot 100 | Chart Run: 42 - 65 - 51 - 44 - 34 - 33

Billboard’s Hot 100 is the traditional measure of success for singles in the US, so let’s start there. The Hot 100 ranks songs using a formula that takes into accounts radio play, sales, and streaming, where 1 download = 1000 radio audience impressions = 75 on-demand streams (or 150 radio-like streams). Thus, doing well on the Hot 100 is a holistic measure of success. Two caveats here: a song may do well overall, but its peak on the Hot 100 may not reflect that if it doesn’t do well on everything all at once. So a song like Awolnation’s “Sail” peaked at #17, despite going 5x platinum, because it essentially peaked twice: once on alternative radio, and once on mainstream formats. Second, a song may be a non-factor to the world, but have an artificially high peak because of first-week sales. My guess is no one in the world could hum more than a line of Taylor Swift’s “Today Was A Fairytale,” but that song had the same peak as “I Knew You Were Trouble” thanks to (at-the-time) record-breaking first-week sales. TL;DR: Hot 100, good success barometer, but like, don’t pray at its altar. Or do if that’s your thing. idk, I’m not gonna judge, people pray to way weirder shit.

On to Strip That Down’s run. It’s currently at #34, its peak, after six weeks on the chart. After falling from its initial position of #42, it has been steadily rising for the last month. Of course, without context, these numbers are about as meaningful as tickets to a Lauryn Hill concert. So for some damn context, let’s compare Strip That Down’s run to three songs released essentially at the same time as it: Bad Liar, Crying in the Club, and Swish Swish.

Swish Swish has been a tragic circus car disasterfest, and so like, Strip That Down has at least hurdled that unfortunately low bar. It’s not quite doing as well as Bad Liar, Selena Gomez’s lead single, but is outpacing Crying in the Club, Camila Cabello’s lead single. Crying in the Club is probably the best comparison here, as a debut lead single from an artist after leaving a popular group. (Admittedly an imperfect comparison, as 1D was bigger than Fifth Harmony, but Camila’s name as a solo act is better known to US radio stations thanks to a host of features.) Of course, there may be even better comparisons. And, let’s be real, that’s what everyone is here for. And as much as I do not want to get into these comparisons, you kinda need to to get any objective sense of Strip That Down.

Again, the resounding conclusion here is that Strip That Down (goddamnit if this song had a less terrible acronym I would be saving so many characters) is... doing fine. Like, not a whole lot of surprises in any direction. It’s certainly not close to the Hot 100 success of Sign of the Times’s early run. But its run is somewhat different looking from the other 3 debuts. It has seen fairly steady growth almost immediately, whereas the other songs fell for a handful of weeks before climbing again. (The reason for this is pretty clear: sales, but we’ll get to that in a bit.) Strip That Down’s run looks most like Slow Hands, a song that’s like kiinda smashing at the moment. Overall, Strip That Down is doing fine on the Hot 100. If it falls off a cliff tomorrow, it would have had a seriously disappointing chart run. But like, otherwise, don’t lose any sleep over it, but also don’t be one of those people arguing in the comments on a Youtube video about how it’s a smash hit. If you’re arguing in the comments section of Youtube, you’ve already lost. Even if you’re right. Which, you’re not, because you’re arguing in the comments on Youtube.

[Sidebar: Strip That Down has been pretty rockin on the UK Singles Chart, which tracks streams + sales. Its run has been 3-3-4-4-4-6 so far. The UK charts turnover much quicker than US ones, so that kinda longevity is already quite good. Like, it’s sticking around for longer than any of One Direction’s singles did.]

Sales | Total Sales: 121,653 (US), 253,408 (UK)

Sales are sales are sales are sales. Not a whole lot to explain here. Early sales are driven by fanbases, and then continuing sales are driven by the “general public” - the inexplicable holy grail of stan war arguments. In the US, Strip That Down started with 52K sales, which was pretty underwhelming compared to the rest of the One Direction solo debuts. This Town sold about twice as much initially (121k in two weeks), Sign of the Times sold 3-4x more (200k in two weeks). Just Hold On sold about as much as Strip That Down. Of course, all of this leads us to the incredibly shocking conclusion that Harry has the largest fanbase, then Niall, then Liam and Louis. Now, if that’s news to you, let me catch you up on some other things: Donald Trump is President, Vine is dead, adjustable-rate mortgages are a trap, he could see dead people, Talkies are the next big thing, and there’s an entire continent west of Europe before India.

Since then, Strip That Down has been steadily growing. It has spent the last two weeks or so in the low twenties on iTunes. increasing at a rate commensurate with its exposure. A quick note here: Strip That Down has never been discounted to $0.69, and discounts actually do have a pretty significant effect on sales - 11 of the current top 20 songs are discounted. So... overall, relatively poor sales so far in the US. If it has a long chart life, its sales could end up being amazing, so the writing is hardly on the wall. If they like it, they will come. (... phrasing?)

And if you feel the need to see success everywhere you look, it’s doing really well sales-wise in the UK. So grip that fact with white knuckles and mention it any time you talk to anyone ever. Here’s a sample conversation:

Airplay | Pop: #21, Rhythmic: #17, 31.234M A.I.

Radio play is interesting because it’s something fans have essentially no control over. Because no matter how many times you Twitter request a song to get in on WHYT The Hytz’s Top 7 @ 7, that’s just a drop in the radioplay bucket. Instead, it’s dominated by label support, artist familiarity, and general audience reaction. The most commonly referred to charts (on the interwebs) for radio airplay are Mediabase’s charts. (Billboard draws its numbers from BDS, not Mediabase, but in the grand scheme of things, the similarities in the tracking systems far outweigh the differences.) Mediabase keeps genre-specific charts, and charts songs based on the number of plays (spins) the song gets on those stations. Aside from spins, the other important number for radio is audience impressions (A.I.) which measures how many people heard a song. Because a spin on New York’s pop station Z100 at rush hour is going to reach more people than a spin on WSTW, Wilmington DE’s Hot Adult Contemporary station at 2AM.

The chart people care about for the purposes of stan-warring is the CHR/Pop chart, which is exactly what it says on the tin: the pop chart. And wow, what do you know, here too Strip That Down has been steadily rising since its release (chart run: 36 - 31 - 26 - 24 - 24 - 22). You’d be pretty hard pressed to argue that this is underperforming. You’d also be pretty hard pressed to argue that it’s overperforming. So don’t! No one wants to be hard pressed. Well, actually... Err, where was I? Oh right, here’s a chart.

Again, aside from Swish Swish, which, lol, the general trend for all these songs is pretty similar. Bad Liar/Sign of the Times both grew way faster with some pretty significant radio deals. Everything else kinda chugged along. Strip That Down has been seeing a pretty linear increase in spins, and if it’s going to really climb, that’s going to need to pick up. But radio is super top-heavy, in that the top 10 songs account for a huge percentage of total spins. Maybe the radio gods will deign to grace Strip That Down and it’ll sky rocket. Or maybe not and it’ll stall in the mid-teens and like, that’ll be fairly respectable.

In terms of overall audience, Strip That Down is the 58th most-heard song on radio, reaching 31.235 million/week. A majority of that is from pop stations, but a sizable chunk is also from CHR/Rhythmic stations, which are more hip-hop/r&b leaning. (And, a small slice is from Hot Adult Contemporary stations, a format that skews closer to pop rock, but generally plays every big pop hit.) Strip That Down has been seeing its biggest audience gains in the last couple days, so who knows. The world is its oyster.

Streaming | Spotify #23 (US), #9 (Worldwide), Youtube #57

Because it’s 2017 and millennials refuse to spend money on anything but avocado toast and actively staying unemployed, streaming exists. And tbh, I don’t really know shit about streaming patterns because the last time I followed music charts closely, Spotify wasn’t really a thing. And like every old person who used to know something, instead of doing the research and educating myself, I’m just gonna speculate wildly and hope no one notices when I pronounce Zendaya like it rhymes with papaya.

From my rigorous research, it looks like streaming turnover is definitely faster than radio turnover. And streaming in the US (at least on Spotify/Apple Music) trends more towards hip hop/rap. It also seems like streaming is basically its own beast, but not totally insulated from label influence. IDK how Spotify’s top hits playlists work, but like, my guess is there’s not no money to be had there.

What really matters is that Strip That Down is kinda killin’ it. It’s been gaining in the top 30 for US Spotify streams, and in the top 10 for worldwide Spotify streams for the last month. It’s definitely had the benefit of being on the most popular playlists, so that probably explains some of it. I don’t know what explains the rest of it. But like, idk, I guess the youths are digging it. Let’s visually illustrate this multiple times to place more emphasis on the streaming factor because such an emphasis would be advantageous to the perception of Strip That Down that most appeases my carnal desires.

Wow, for once the analysis isn’t “idk we’ll see how it does.” For streaming, Strip That Down has just straight up done well regardless of the context or comparison you’d like to make. It’s already a streaming success for who knows what reason.

Let’s end on that note. Please use this information for good and not evil. I don’t care if you like Liam or hate him or WHATEVER (that’s a lie, I do care if you hate Liam, because you’re a monster), but have some basic grasp of what the various chart numbers mean, please. Or if you must continue to engage in petty, misinformed arguments with rando strangers on the internet, do it in a place where there is zero chance of me stumbling upon it. (Those places don’t exist on the internet, because I will scrape into the deepest recesses of the web to find people saying nice things about Liam Payne. Because I am so bored.)

even though it is fire type and that probably won't d much damage but it would be better that using one of Flygon's grass-moves so I can't blame him too much.

Wait no Flygon has a lot of attacks that could work, like Sandstorm and Steel Wing. like I think those would work better than Flamethrower.

The Arcanine doesn't get hit and then shoots Heat Wave at Flygon and then uses "Extreme Speed" to run off EVEN FASTER THEN SHE CAN ALREADY RUN.

Drew hasn't acted like this sense back in "Now That's Flower Power" when he first met May after she covered everybody on the beach with sand while being an amateur coordinator who barley even knew what a contest was.

Maybe he's acting like this becuase she can't tell that the move "Extreme Speed" Makes a Pokemon have extreme speed.

Makes me wonder what this conversation was in the Japanese version.

Why else would he be here?

Well I mean... isn't that the same thing as entering it? If you enter it, that automatically mean you want to win it becuase you have your five ribbons.

May: You're on top for most annoying but I'm winning the Festival.

Drew: Ya? Thinks so? :opens ribbon case which already has one ribbon even though he just got here:

May stop thinking Drew doesn't have his ribbons. He always does, and he always has more/better/higher leveled Pokemon than he did last time becuase he is damn good at what he does.

Of course she hasn't won any she hasn't entered in any Contests becuase Ash needs to win his thing that he looses in the end so it was for nooooottthhhhhiiiiiinnnnng.

Like his Pokemon get stronger but he always forgets the lesson, gives his Pokemon to Professor Oak, and Pikachu's level resets, meaning that id you started from X and Y you wouldn't need to go back and watch the earlier episodes becuase there isn't any big sory things for Ash that follow him through the story. The Pokegirls actually learn stuff gets Pokemon that still with them that they level up and then leave the show becuase it follows Ash not anybody that actually keeps a personality and has character development.

I don't hate Ash I just wish he was a character that had a consistent personality and character development.

Drew: I'm going to go catch that Arcanine now so that I can continue winning my way through Kanto.

May: For your information I'm going to catch that Arcanine!

Drew: Like to see you try, but hate to see you fail. :runs off with Flygon:

this episode make me stop watching the show for a whole year and I'm starting to remember why I did that.

I'll give a lot of why now and a bit more later.

So basically after I watched the episode "Rhapsody in Drew" I was totally into contestshipping (I had no idea what that word meant I just ships May and Drew I don't think I knew much about the internet back then either) and so I continues watching the show waiting to see Drew again and then I saw this episode and-

I'll explain why I did not like this episode later when I can talk about the plot. But you can see just from the beginning the interaction Drew had with May didn't seem to fit becuase of Drew not having bee acting like that sense the first time we saw him, yet he would definitely poke fun at her but he just seemed way too much of a douche then in the previous episodes, like even excluding the Grand Festival he just seemed like more of a douche then he should've and it was bad enough for me (back then) that I saw it as out of character and I stopped watching the show for a while becuase of me thinking that they were going to keep Drew's character like this and decided that contestshipping was a bad idea, even though it clearly happened last episode we saw Drew.

I remember watching these episodes. Team Rocket got hired into a bakery and actually did their job and were happy being bakers for alike 10 episodes I don't really remember but it was pure.

So basically Team rocket is working at the bakery in the middle of the woods and they saw the gang, but then their boss (the bakery boss not Genovonii lol) tells them to start working so then they start working again.

Mudkip is looking for Arcanine and the gang follows the Mudkip.

Wait what gender is Brock's Mudkip?

(Bulbapedia acts weird as if it is deleting the whole Brock page)

I guess it really doesn't want me to know then.

So the Mudkip finds where the Arcanine is and everybody is silent while watching her collect berries, as to figure out the best strategy for finding a way to battle it. May sends och Cumbuskin and the Arcanine starts running off. Cumbuskin catches up to it and then Arcanine uses Extreme Speed to run off. Then everybody starts trying to figure out what to do next.

Brock suggested they go get some information about the Arcanine and so for some reason they go to a random house in the middle of the woods where a man is cutting wood.

Back to Team Rocket's scene.

Jessie is about to serve the people waiting for food (They are rushing her) and then she notices a big cake.

Jessie: ooo that looks good! :looks around to see if anybody is watching then takes a tiny taste with her finger:

James: What??? What do you think you are doing!!! Let me show you. :eats tiny bit:

Meowth: What's dis???

Meowth: Don't put little holes in the cake!!! Take chunks like dis!

Jessie and James: Huhhh???

Woodsman: I suppose you cake to learn about the Arcanine that lives here.

Or maybe they've lost their way or something logical like that/ Do that many people really ask about the Arcanine???

Woodsman: :sips tea: Young man with a Flygon asked me the same thing just an hour back.

It took them all this long to find and as him???

Wow... long time.

May: What??? I bet he was nice and polite and so you told him everything?

Woodsman: Yup, sure did.

Well I mean Have you ever seen Drew do anything that was "mean" to anybody other than you May??? Like Ash took something he said as offensive once but he hasn't really done that to anybody else.

May: So will you tell us everything too?

And now we are back to team Rocket.

Just eat the rest of it to hide the evidence and if he asks just act like you have no idea what cake.

But oyu are bad at lying (It is too easy for me :/) so I highly doubt you will able to.

James: It's not looking so good... Do you think anybody would notice?

Jessie: Of course they will why did you two eat so much???

Meowth: It was you two eating it way before me!

Everybody: sighs:

B O S S: HEY YOU THREE! BRING ME THAT BIG WEDDING CAKE THERE ON THE COUNTER!

Why did you not eat the rest while you had the chance...

Meowth: You take it James!

James: No way, I'd rather be run over by a Milltank (Cow Pokemon).

Jessie: Okay. Then We'll hide it.

:presumibly a little bit later:

Boss: Hey! Are you three deaf or wha- :noticing cake is gone: What happened to the three layer wedding cake I had here?

Everybody: Cake? What cake?

Wabafett:

What if you just put it in the Wabafett’s mouth and said that while you were baking the Wabafett ate it?

And so then the man throws them out and fires them.

Sad.

So then the Woodsman explains that the Arcanine used to only stay in the mountains, and that recently it has been coming down here, and then he pulls out a map and tells them which spots of the forest she goes.

Now the gang is silently watching the spring where they expect the Arcanine to be so that May can catch it. Ash keeps being loud and May gets mad so they all have lunch near the Spring so that if she comes May will be able to catch her.

And the the Arcanine shows up and is drinking some water. When Arcacnine sees May The Arcanine starts running off.

And now it's about Team Rocket. They are walking through the forest and are hungry and upset they lost their job.

Wait how are they hungry they just ate a bunch of cake?

Meowth: It isn't my idea to start Poking holes in the cake!

Jessie: No, it was your idea to start taking big chunks of it.

Wabafett: :finds four berries:

James: It got one for each of us!

Good job Wabafett.

And so now to pay them back Wabafett has to show them where Wabafett found the berries.

This kinda reminds me of their plot in "Who What When Where Wynuat".

May found the forest where all of the berries are becuase Arcanine likes to get these berries. Brock forms a plan for where the Arcanine will be coming from and how they will catch it if it comes from one or the other side. Ash sends out Corfish, Brock sends out Mudkip, and May sends out Squirtle. Everybody hides with their water Pokemon waiting for the Archanine.

The Arcanine appears on Ash and Brock's side. Corfish uses Bubble Beam and it goes closer to Brock, then Mudkip uses water-gun to bring Archanine closer to May. When she gets closer May's Squirtle is sleeping, but then May wakes it up and Squirtle goes over to Arcanine.

That baby Squirtle is going to lose.

Arcanine growls using the attack Roar at it and Squirtle goes back to May's Pokeball. Then May sends out Munchlax and tried using Metrenome and it turns into Extreme Speed, and now it has caught up with Archanine. May tells him to jump onto Arcanine's back but then Munchlax runs off and collects all of the berries while using extreme speed.

Munchlax is worse at following directions than a baby Pokemon.

So now Team Rocket is climbing down a mountain to find the berries. Once they get there, they can recognize they are Pecha berry trees uot all of the berries were picked. Then they see the Arcanine run past and Meowth talk about how they should give it to the boss.

But James already has an Arcanine back at home.

So Ash and friends went to the mountain over to a cliff where the Arcanine comes a lot. Once the Arcanine appears May runs down to challenge the Arcanine to a battle, but then Drew jumps in front of her and May complains about how she was here first. Drew then tells her that he has been there all day.

Smart move Drew. Smart move.

Then the Arcanine runs away to the top of the mountain becuase she really couldn't care less.

May: Great! Now the Arcanine is gone and neither one of us can get it!

Drew: Please... It's not like you had a chance of catching it anyways.

May: How dare you Drew! If you're so sure how about we have a battle to see who goes after Arcanine!

Hopefully this battle lasts for a long while so that I don't have to review it and instead I just summarize it.

Drew lets May have the first move and Squirtle tried tackling Flygon. Flygon flies upwards and easily, EASILY dodges. Flygon uses steel Wing and Squirtle has a pitiful attempt of using bubble to get Flygon to go away, which he easily dodges and hits Squirtle. Because Squirtle is a baby Pokemon it starts crying when it gets hit. May stops the battle.

Drew: Your really left Squirtle defenseless there. I didn't even use a full strength attack.

Well I'm sure you were able to tell it was a baby so thanks for going easy on him.

Drew starts climbing to the top and May says that the battle isn't over and everybody follows him to the top. Once they climb up they only see a ledge, and more mountain going up. this confuses them for a moment then they start climbing higher.

Then they finally realize that

Arcanine is a mom and you can't catch it becuase the babies would die.

Then Team rocket gets a net to steal the pups, do their stupid motto, and then try to steal the Arcanine as well. They start flying away and then Flygon uses steal wing. Team rocket's balloon goes down.

Ash: Brock let's finish this! :about to get the babies back:

May: Wait.

Brock: Huh?

May: Let Drew and I finish this.

Drew: We were the ones who started this whole thing off.

Ash: Alright it's all yours!

(I'd like you all to note that every time I said I hated this episode it was past tense lol)

So then Flygon uses steel wing on the net, and the Arcanine and Growlith are all free. James sends out Cacnia and uses pin missile. May deflects with Squirtle's Bubble. Drew makes a comment about the attack being better, and then Jessie sends out Dustox who starts off by using poison sting. Flygon uses flamethrower and destroys the Dustox' attack. Then it is revealed that James' Cacnia can use sandstorm. Squirtle starts getting pushed back, then then Drew's Flygon stands in front of May's Squirtle so that the sandstorm don't hit Squirtle.

That scene was actually so cute if only I could make gifs.

Squirtle hops onto Flygon's back and Flygon flies out of the sandstorm and over Cacnia and Dustox. Squirtle jumps off and uses tackle while Flygon uses steel wing. then they finish off by Squirtle using water-gun and Flygon using Flame thrower at the balloon.

The Arcanine is back with her babies on the top of the mountain.

Ash: No May you changed your mind about catching it?

May: Yup. Drew it's all yours.

Drew: Well... As much as I think I could win it with, I don't want to break up a happy family. :flicks hair: So I'll let them be.

Leave the family.

Capture the babies later when they are older and don't need their mother.

Drew: I guess this is goodbye.

May: Until we meet again at least.

Drew: Y'know their a contest coming up in Saffron city I think you should enter.

May: I haven't heard anything about it. Why, are you entering?

Drew: No I have to find a new Pokemon to strengthen my team first. But I think you'd do really well on it. :walks off:

May: Wow thank you Drew!

And then the episode ends with Max figurine out where Saffron City is.

-Conclusion-

I still have bitter feelings for this episode, the first time I watched it I was left with a cliffhanger of what would happen next with Drew, and it didn't fit with me how he acted for most of this episode. I stopped watching the series for a whole year becuase of it. When I did the Masterpost for it, I still didn't completely forgive it, and I still felt upset about Drew's characterization. I'm watching ti again, and yes a lot of the scenes in this episode make no sense as to why he acted like that, me still blaming it on the writers, but at the ending scenes it starts making tit forgivable... Personal experiences with the episode make it hard to me to tell weather I dislike it , or if it is really a bad episode. It just bothers me. I'd rather not watch this episode for a few more years so that I can completely erase my grudge and either make a new one and see if ti is bad or like the episode, becuase the episode is actually good.

I had neck pain, shoulder pain, back pain and terrible pain in my knee. I had MRI on back, knee and neck because those were the worst. That total was about $1800. I was told by the doctor that the mri on my back said I have two herniated disks and I should do therapy. I listened to him and went four times per week for four months. The Mri on my neck came back good. But my knee showed a tear in mcl. I had surgery on that and had to see the surgeon in his office twice plus hospital bills which equals a bill of $14,500. I then needed 2 months of therapy on my knee. Also all the pain meds ive been taking through out the whole process is around $600. I had a ekg for my nerves to test if they were good and that cost $800. So after doing my research I find websites that say the settlement amount s should be all bills multiplied by 3 depending on the persons insurance carrier and coverage. Well this person has $200,000/$200,000. So far all my bills have been paid through my insurance. When I do the math for what all the bills are is comes to roughly $28350. I didn't include the four days per week for therapy and seeing the doctors. That has to be a big chunk also. My lawyer called me and said he was made an offer of $42,000. He gets a 1/3 of that. I think they low balled me soooo bad on this. If i use the X3 multiplier method then it should have been somewhere around $85,000 offer. Remember I didn't even include all the visits to the therapy. Is this a good offer or should I decline and wait for second offer? My lawyer thinks we should wait it out because he has such a big insurance policy that we can get much more especially since that was our first offer.""

A couple of weeks ago a lady ran a red light and hit my car. Her insurance company took a week to get me a rental and two weeks later finally go look at my car and determined a total loss. The adjustor was pretty rude about the whole situation (yes I know that's their job) and started in on how my car has extensive hail damage which is not true. There were some dents from hail on the hood and trunk lid but every used car in Oklahoma has hail damage since we have had several storms over the past few years.
