I'm a little sad to see this blog mostly shares polls nowadays... I miss the AU talk and random chatter about ideas or headcanons, your opinions on things and the wip wednesdays I'm still happy to see your art in between all those polls. (before forgetting: you might have already lost but to me Train of Thought IS and WILL BE my favorite submas AU. No contest. Nope. Never.) But yeah, missing the old days here. Dearly. Verrrry much. Don't get this wrong, you're either probably still recovering, you're insanely busy or maybe even moved on... either way wishing you have fun with wherever tracks take you! I was happy to be on this blog in it's prime.
Hey Anon! I will be honest with you on this cause I do want to explain what has happened with this blog lately, and where I plan to go with it. (It’s not going anywhere, don’t worry!!)
There are a few reasons for the inactivity. Part of it is just me recovering from university work. I pushed myself way harder than I should have for way longer than I should have, and now I’m kinda trying to just recalibrate my brain and mental health. It’s really foggy and I struggle with concentration and comprehension a lot currently. (And this is also why I haven’t really answered asks, when I tried to answer Papa Ingo AU asks while like this, it really only led to getting confused and correctional asks in response, because I kept getting things wrong, and that made things really overwhelming.)
AND SECOND! Most of my free time right now is not being spent on this blog, because most of it is going into writing and editing. Concentration and comprehension issues are making it take a lot longer than I’d like it to right now, but I have a lot of content on the way!
- four new chapters of HFBE
- three chapters of IWLYB
- a five chapter, 25k+ word fic titled Rain Check
- another fic titled Entropy Syndrome
None of these are out yet because Entropy Syndrome’s narrative covers a concept that spans across all of these other fics and chapters, and it’s adjusted a lot of content that’s making me rewrite things several times over to ensure it’s properly written in and connected ^^;
And lastly, sadly a lot of it is just irrational anxiety. I stopped posting for a while for university, and anxiety makes me irrationally scared to start again because it always makes it hard to start back at something once I’ve stopped ^^; (I’m hoping dumping all these fics will alleviate this when I’m done with them though! Fic posting is what diminished my anxiety enough to start this blog in the first place!!)
BELIEVE ME I miss how this blog used to be as well, but my mentality is still sort of recovering from what I did to it for four years straight, and I can’t really force it to keep going more right now. It’s certainly a process, but I’m recovering!
Lots of stuff is coming soon! I have a few minutes drabbles on hand, I will attempt to start posting those while I keep working on these fics.
Thank you for the ask anon!! It means a lot that you liked this blog so much. I still love it, and I’m taking care of myself as best I can so that I can get back to running this blog at full efficiency!!
Thank you again Anon!!! ^^

I'm a bit late to the party, but I did notice you were asking for spooky requests. I have a couple, that I'll send in separate asks. I was rereading your Coraline AU stories again, and wondered... Since you did a happy ending with Ingo and Other Emmet, could you do a bad end with Emmet and Other Ingo? Like Other Ingo does get to sew buttons on S/O's eyes. What happens then?
jsjsdnd upon a reread myself, since its been over a year now since I wrote that, the ending of the ingo one is already heading in that direction so I'm just continuing from there. I also feel like I write them really differently now?
cw: yandere, coraline au, poly (ingo/reader, emmet/reader), dark content,
original post here
Emmet's grasp was painfully tight as he restrained you. Ingo hovered in front of you, black buttons almost like an endless void of nothingness. The golden needle shimmered menacingly, reminding you of what was soon to come. It was paired horrifyingly with his firm yet loving hand holding your chin steady. He obviously did not want you to move as much as his brother. You had stopped struggling, now frozen with terror.
“Don't worry, dearest, my hand is steady and trained,” he promised with a calming tone, one you had to resist the distressing effects, “I decided to change the colour of your buttons if you don't mind. Since my dear brother has returned and agreed to share, grey seemed more complimentary.” You felt tears burning your eyes. Ingo ticked his tongue. This would not do. It would get in the way of his sewing and make a bloody mess of your face. His hand came to gently wipe your tears.
“Relax, darling!” Emmet cooed, “We are going to be together foreverrrrr.”
The needle finally came to pierce your skin and a scream left your throat.
~
Emmet had taken time off from work again to focus on your transitory period and rekindle his relationship with his brother. You were having a very difficult time within his brother and his dimension. Begs and pleas came to cut away the buttons over your eyes, but neither twin relented. The safest, happiest place for you was within their dimension. No one else could dare interact with you, and they could grant all your wishes.
Unfortunately, that meant he and Ingo would need to eat more of their prey, but your happiness came over everything. Ingo was currently trying to get you to eat as you sat at the table with endless dishes that you definitely enjoyed sitting all over. It hurt to see you reject everything and fall into soft cries over your buttons. Poor, poor darling. Ingo was growing frustrated and distressed over his failures. Emmet decided to intervene.
With prey, Ingo was always too soft. How he survived so long with Emmet gone was astonishing. No matter, the younger twin would be careful to make sure you ate and thrived while here. It was unfortunate that he needed to be the firm one. He truly did not want to.
You ate after he intervened.
~
There was an obvious joy that swelled in Ingo's chest when you gave up your strange period of upset and began to adjust to your life. Emmet had returned to work, leaving you alone with him. He worried he would not be able to care for you properly without Emmet's support, yet he had managed. Slowly – so, so slowly – your walls had come back down. You let him hold you and speak soft and loving phrases to you once more. His heart felt overcome with warmth. No more crying and begging and pleading to free you from the buttons and this perfect world. He sighed.
“See? This is what you wanted, my love,” Ingo held your left hand delicately as you sat in his lap. The golden band shimmered beautifully to compliment your skin. A band that signified love and dedication. You would never leave, not like Emmet had. You would not leave him alone for so many years with only the company of sparse prey. No, you were here to stay. Emmet granted him that. Even in his childish jealousy, he recognised his dear brother needed company. Both knew loneliness was too cruel.
You barely shifted, unable to see with how the buttons blinded you. Everything you did or wanted had to be guided by Ingo or Emmet until you grew enough muscle memory to recall where everything was without seeing. You realised this was a way for them to blind their prey to their true forms as something monstrous and inhuman, but you were not sure why they insisted on keeping you that way. Fear, you assumed. Both were much too similar in their methods. Emmet tricked you out here to his “childhood” home to keep you isolated from everyone in his possessive fit. Blinding you made it difficult for you to escape this prison. Something sick twisted inside you at the thought of Ingo enjoying doting on you, too.
Everything was set against you. Leaning into him, you emptily nodded. Ingo pressed a gentle kiss to your cheek, always so chaste. You wanted to gag. Desperately, so desperately, you wished you had listened to the Emmet of the past and never returned to this place. Ingo let out a contented sigh.
Maybe, one day, you would give into their whims and find some disgusting happiness in this twisted world.
Or, if you were feeling dumbly hopeful, you would escape here. The buttons would be gone from your eyes and allow you to see again.
The death grip around your waist told you the former was more likely than the latter.
As did a sickeningly cheerful call from a returning Emmet.

Ice Skating Date
A late Christmas gift for the lovely @astererer !! Hope you enjoy!!
🍓🍓🍓
Skating isn’t really anything new to Aster. She tends to rollerskate around when she’s going somewhere nearby, or whenever she wants to have some fun, and surprisingly ice skating really isn’t that different. She adjusts her balance, gliding over the frozen pond as others sail by. Couples, families, kids, friends, all of them working their way around the ice, hand in hand.
The only person not skating about is Aster’s date. For a man with such presence back in his subway, Ingo seems particularly small out on the rink. Perhaps it’s because he’s curled up, knees touching as he struggles to maintain balance and an upright position on his skates.
Aster carefully stops before him. “Can. . . you not skate?”
Ingo, already rosy from the cold, turns a dangerous red, nearing the same color as his Excadrill beanie. “W-well! I, er, don’t partake in the hobby, but I’ve. . . skated before.” Aster squints, not sure if she believes him. “I don’t do it often, but I heard how wonderful this place was for couples wanting to go on a winter themed date, and I wanted to treat you to a nice day out, and I didn’t realize I’d be so rusty, so. . .”
“So that’s a no.” Aster replies. She chuckles at Ingo’s embarrassed whine, but skates forward, offering her hands to him. Ingo glances at the railing he’s curled around, detaching himself slowly, one hand at a time. “Come on. I’ll show ya.”
Ingo’s grip is tight, cold fingers wrapped around her wrists in a death clench. His feet don’t really move as Aster skates backwards, pulling him along. He stares at her feet, watching them move, brows furrowed as his brain works out the physics of ice skating. Aster snickers to herself, practically able to see the calculations and diagrams floating in and out of his pink ears.
Slowly, Ingo puts more weight onto his skates, carefully leaning into the wobbling steps he makes. Aster moves a little faster to accommodate him, and also to avoid the reach of his longer legs. However, despite Ingo’s planning and careful attempts, he misjudges where most of his weight should lie, and his foot gives out underneath him.
With a scream, he tackles Aster, knocking her onto her back as his face smacks into her chest. The pair slide across the ice, sprayed in the frost of other skaters jerking to avoid them. However, their jerky movements only end up in them also falling over, and then others, until practically the entire rink has collapsed to their butts.
Aster blinks up at the street lights illuminating the rink.
Ingo, horribly embarrassed, pushes himself up. He gazes down at Aster, eyes wide and wet, voice wavering as he tries to apologize. But before he can manage the first word, however, Aster cuts him off with a hearty guffaw. Despite his numbed ears delighting at the sweet  sound, Ingo only blushes harder.
“If you wanted closer, you just had to ask.” She teases. Ingo tries to protest, but Aster just slings her arms around his neck, and he chokes as he realizes their position. “I don’t mind a little cuddling. Though I’d prefer to do it off the ice.”
“Aster. . .” Ingo whines, though he doesn’t resist her tugging.
The cold melts away with the simple press of their lips together. Ice and snow have never existed in the little world the two create for themselves with every kiss they share. They curl together, arms pulling one another ever closer, as the heat of their faces meld into steam caught between their shared smiles.
“Scuse me.” Someone says, popping the warm bubble. Ingo jerks back, dragging Aster up with him, and boggles the man standing over them. “Y’all two wanna. . . get up anytime soon?”
With swiveling heads, the pair see most everyone who had also fallen has stood up again, all waiting for them to rise so they can continue their skating.
Ingo loudly apologizes to everyone, mortified, and Aster can only laugh. Despite what Ingo may lament about later, she thinks this is a wonderful date, one she’ll definitely remember forever.

Gaeric Week: Free Space
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thanks to @gaeric-appreciation for putting this together. Thanks to Mons too for betaing all this work, it is always appreciated. This has been really fun and I've really been looking forward to it!
Today is a little special as this is the culmination of the other pieces. I hope you enjoyed reading and happy Gaeric week!!
Please note: In solidarity with Palestine and the global strike called by Bisan Owda, I will be pushing the release dates of these ficlets up to avoid conflict with this strike.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
It was his turn to show Ingo the ropes. The man had been here for a little more than six months, and he had been caught in nothing short of a whirlwind upon his arrival. Many still had their doubts about the stranger, but the wardens knew better, and so did Irida. They were the ones who spent the most time with him after all.
Gaeric leaned over the fire, twisting the skewered meats and veggies over the flame so they cooked evenly, and sat back with Ingo, the man shivering in the cold even under the thick shag of some Piloswine blankets. Calaba had theorized that he was still adjusting to the climate after all this time, wherever he had come from was not nearly so cold, and although he had adjusted to the average cold of the icelands, the windchill was dropping the temperature into the subzero tonight.
“Here, drink this. It’ll help warm you.”
Ingo had such spindly fingers, looking more like fragile twigs than human skin and musculature, but they wrapped around the cup to leech the warmth from the steaming miso inside. He thanked Gaeric, sipping quietly, and sighed with relief as the broth worked its magic.
“That’s much better. I think I can feel my fingers again.”
“You have to start getting used to the cold, Ingo. Although the highlands aren’t nearly so cold, Hisui is more like here than the coast.”
This acknowledgement made the new warden sigh wearily, taking another swig of the soup, and handing it back to Gaeric once he offered to refill it. There was an awkward pause. The whole day had been spent teaching Ingo about the exact details of wardenship: what he would need to do day in and day out for his ward and her offspring, how often he should report in to Irida about his noble and the state of the highlands, and the importance of vigilance when it came to wild Pokémon.
All the wardens were doing their part to bring Ingo up to speed on his duties. Lian showed him basic survival skills like lighting a fire, hemming a ripped seam, and identifying potable water. Calaba instructed him on how to care for injuries and maladies in the event he could not get to the settlement, which Ingo seemed to catch on to with relative ease. Palina tackled food preparation, which ranged from collection, like fabricating traps or rods and being able to identify edible plants and tubers, and storage, like drying or pickling. This was the one Ingo seemed to struggle with the most.
This awkward silence wasn’t so much that the men didn’t know each other or like each other, Gaeric just didn’t know what to say to Ingo in a casual sense. The man had no memories - his mind blank and clean like freshly fallen snow. So, while he could rely on Ingo to ask questions and offer little acknowledgements from Gaeric’s teachings, he couldn’t expect him to talk about himself.
“May I ask you something?”
“You can ask whatever you want Ingo, that’s why you’re here.”
Gaeric would not admit how relieved he was that Ingo had ended the pregnant pause between. Ingo leaned forward, elbows resting on his knees as he stared into the flickering flames. It was eerie, Gaeric could sometimes look at him and see just how blank his gray eyes were. Though the bandages on his forehead were gone, the gash on his left temple still threw the shadows over the modeled skin. He couldn’t help but remember how pale the man had been when he was brought into medical tent, with the contrast of the blood that was so red against his white skin, it made shivers run up the collective spines of the clan as it put them in mind of a certain ghost stalking the night.
“What was the warden like before me? The one who took care of Lady Sneasler?”
“Chiaki?” It had been a long time since he even had to remember that name. “To tell you the truth, I never really got to know her. Shion and Calaba would have been her contemporaries. She died protecting Lady’s Sneasler’s first batch of kits and she’s refused a warden until you.”
“I see.” Ingo said, his head dipping lower. The fire crackled when the fat of the meat dripped into the fire, Ingo reached out to turn the skewer. “Can you tell me about Shion? I sensed Mistress Calaba’s… sorrow when I tried to bring up the topic.”
Gaeric hummed, leaning back to look into the endless expanse of space above him and taking in a deep breath through his nose. The cold air stung his lungs in a good way, a refreshing reminder that he was here and alive.
“Shion was a stubborn old man until the bitter end… I admired him for it.”
Gaeric said with a faint but fond smile, pulling the skewers off the fire and handing one to Ingo. As the fire slowly died over the next few hours down memory lane, Ingo listening with rapt attention, they found themselves with mere embers before them. Gaeric was just about to say that they should catch some sleep when Ingo said unexpectedly.
“Forgive me but… I fear at times I will not be able to live up to the clan’s expectations or the legacies of those who came before me, Gaeric. I think…”
Although he trailed off, he was sure he could guess what Ingo was about to say.
He was seeking out reassurance from his fellow warden.
“Shion used to tell me that forging your own path is like walking through knee-deep snow in a blizzard. It can seem impossible, but eventually the blizzard will clear, and the spring melt will make the path more manageable. No one is expecting you to be exactly like those who came before you. Sinnoh left space in their grand design so that each person can grow to be extraordinary – Pearl clan is not made up of a few trees on a plain, we are a mighty forest. We grow together in all manners and shapes. Just be yourself, Ingo… We should get some sleep. Could you put out the fire while I turn down the extra cot for you?”
Ingo nodded, a quiet smile curving his lips.
“Thank you, Gaeric. I think my fears are assuaged for now.”
“Good, because you don’t have time to worry. Gotta get you into tiptop shape for your wardenship. I expect you to be up bright and early for our run.”
The audible gulp of fear made the warden burst into laughter before ducking into his tent to begin turning in.

Can you do more for omega Ingo, I love all you’ve written about him, like for both Hisui and post Hisui? Did other alphas try to get to know Ingo in Hisui or did Emmet’s scent and mark stay on him throughout the whole time he was there? Did alpha Emmet immediately scent Ingo when he came back and remark him?
I can do that for you!!! In fact, I've been thinking about Omega Ingo nonstop the past few days...
In Hisui, Ingo was kind of the equivalent of a wealthy widow. The mark faded because Emmet technically doesn't exist - so it's just a normal scar without all the weight behind it. In my version of Hisui, there's a lot of cultural weight on widowed Omegas and the way they should be treated. That helps him to be accepted quicker than in canon since he's now viewed as 'poor widowed omega found all alone in the snow' instead of just an outsider.
His rank as a warden and his prowess in battle means he has a lot of alphas trying to court him, yeah! He actually probably got pressured by the clan sometimes to find a new mate, he's still young enough to give an alpha children after all! It makes him really uncomfortable and he'd always spend a few days in the highlands with Lady Sneasler after that. Poor guy can't even make eye contact after a 'i know you're grieving but you need to remarry' lecture.
He feels extra weird about it because he doesn't feel like a widow. Surely he would know if his mate was dead...? The mark is faded but it just feels wrong to him. And it's weird to him that they act like he's some sort of frail, sad little thing when he's the strongest trainer in all of Hisui (aside from the protag)
And Emmet definitely scented him and was SUPER clingy when Ingo came back. Ingo disappearing right from under his nose is one of his biggest failures, in his mind. How he absolutely failed to protect his brother haunts him. And then Ingo comes back with all these scars and his memory is lost... It's really hard for him to come to terms with it and the fact that it isn't his fault this happened. He didn't want to push Ingo to accept a new mark when Ingo was still struggling with his memory and adjusting to Unova again... but he thought about it a lot, especially when people would get too close to Ingo. It bothered him a lot to see people not only acting as if Ingo was single but also pressuring him about his time in Hisui and just not giving him the space he needs to recover.
So he tries to compensate for the lack of a new mark by basically being with Ingo 24/7. They were already clingy with each other before but Emmet has to constantly be touching or within arms reach of Ingo. Ingo's touch starved after Hisui (touching an omega that's not your mate or family is a big no no and a widowed omega is afforded even more respect and thus distance) so he really appreciates it and it makes him feel safe. It's a bit problematic when Ingo has to go to the doctor for the injuries he got in Hisui because Emmet keeps growling at the doctors for 'hurting' Ingo and has to be sent outside to wait LOL
Ingo is the one who approaches Emmet to be re-marked, actually. He's having such a hard time adjusting and he's still used to the heightened sense of danger from Hisui. Plus, he feels like a burden because of the new problems he's brought with him like Lady Sneasler following him to the future and the long-term recovery from his injuries. It's his job as the older brother to take care of Emmet but Emmet's been taking care of him so much lately! There's also a lingering sense that he has to be useful in order to be worth keeping around, since Hisui is very pragmatic about that sort of thing. He wants to feel like Emmet wants him, like he belongs and he's loved regardless of how useful he is or his changes in appearance.
That's probably the first time they properly have sex since reuniting, too, since Emmet was cautious of all the healing that Ingo had to do both physically and mentally. But as soon as he gets the go-ahead he absolutely has to shower Ingo in love and make sure he knows he's still attractive!! Emmet thinks his new strength is very sexy.

Ok I gotta ask, for Blinding Radiance AU, was that before Akari/Rei came and so Arceus knew to tone it down? Or was it trying to impress the subway master in white by being Extra Bright? Or was it because Arceus didn't have time to prepare before Emmet was just kinda barging in?
Also... Would Emmet's memory of being blinded (I'm guessing it was VERY painful and traumatic) ever come back after Ingo returns? Because hey, now there's a brother here who can help! Plus then they can commiserate about their different traumas and resurfacing memories? Or would Arceus keep that hidden 100%?
Also could Chandelure or any sort of psychic pokemon let Emmet borrow their sight for small periods of time, just so he could truly see his brother again once? He's probably made peace with being blind in daily life, but maybe just for a special occasion?
Oh Emmet just Showed Up. Kicked down the door and said "I FOUND YOU WAIT WHAT" and saw Arceus in its divine form in its astral pocket dimension. Too bright for human eyes to handle.
Arceus was caught by surprise by this, obviously. It saw what happened, was unable to reverse it, and had to create some false memories for Emmet. Or it created a gap in his memories, I'm not sure!
I think that also would influence if the memories ever came back. If it's just a false memory overlaid, then yeah! I can imagine over time perhaps he'd start to remember. Perhaps even Arceus would ask if he wanted to unpack that suitcase when his brother returned. But if Arceus created a gap there, I don't think there would be any recovering anything.
Not sure which option I like more, actually. Let me know your thoughts on that!!
Can psychic types do that?? I actually really like that idea... it wouldn't be the same exact sort of human sight, but some approximation! I bet at first, during the really hard adjustment period, Emmet did try and rely on Chandelure. But... it was wearing out the ghost type, and Elesa gently warned him that he'd have to learn to adapt, and honestly sooner rather than later would be easier.
As soon as Emmet learned of the toll it was taking on Chandelure, he threw himself into learning how to live without sight and never looked back. She's helped him out a few times in situations that were looking dangerous, or if he was REALLY struggling. But once he started viewing this new obstacle as a challenge, Emmet did a lot better!
But yeah. I bet she does help him see Ingo again :) I think they both would appreciate that <3
(I think psychic sight would lead to glowing purple eyes lol. Also Emmet's eyes still glow in the dark like they've always done. His pupils just now also glow white)
