Guys......This one is hard,the silver age is full of some of the most iconic villains ever
Captain Cold I know not a lot about ,but I love the idea of a working class villain who has his own moral code
Black Manta killed Aqua Mans baby and is one of the most iconic adversaries ,but not as familiar
Galactus is a THREAT,he is a cosmic being who EATS worlds....But he isnt mallicious and is moreapathetic
Sinestro is another iconic adversary BUT simialr to Black Manta Im not as familiar with him
Brainiac and Kingpin are among my personal favorites ,I love these two (Kingpin is my personal fave Marvel villain ) BUT Im not sure for the silver age they fit the Rushmore
Juggernaut is a THREAT ,an unstoppable brute BUT he isnt too bright
Green Goblin nearly made the list ,as he is Spidermans most PERSONAL foe.....But Id argue someone else is more iconic

Reverse Flash :Petty.Just pure pettyness and petty works for a villain.The fanboy turned hater ,and an example of the villainous mirror .What I have experienced with this petty asshole convinced me to include him
Doc Ock-While Goblin is more personal,I feel Ock is more iconic from his design to having a unique relationship with Spiderman ,that is more forged from years as battles.I dunno I feel Ock is a more silver age feeling character
Magneto-The tragic villain and one who flip flops a bit between villain and anti hero ,being both friend and adversary to Charles Xavier.Hes a villain whose motives you understand even while he does villanious deeds,and I think that uniqueness secures him a place on the Rushmore
Doctor Doom-The easy choice .Doom is just fun .He has a cool design .Hes egocentric but he has the power and intellect to back it up while also having a burning hatred for his adversary Reed Richards .While Magneto is the villain you understand,Doom is the villain you love to hate,you boo and hiss but you cant help but love him a little bit ,so he has to be on the rushmore

okay like, now that we’re getting closer to mcu’s fantastic four i think it’s really REALLY important to note that.............................. doctor doom does not ““hate”“ reed richards. oh, he despises the man. but in a “you are so important to me, i hate you, love you, i want to kill you, i can’t live without you, you are the only person that’s my equal, and subconsciously i know that you’re better than me and it fills me with BURNING RAGE” type of way. when i tell you that doctor doom is OBSESSED with reed richards that’s not enough.
doom challenged reed to a latverian SWORD FIGHT on the condition that the winner would get the loser to do whatever they wanted. when reed lost the fight, doom requested reed to be the best man at his wedding.
and yet doom also hates reed so much that when an alternate good doom said that he redeemed himself by forgiving reed, 616 doom straight up murdered his alter because he couldn’t let go of his hatred.
and yet when reed died, doom said that reed was the only one who truly knew him and that without reed, he’s alone.
and doom is also the godfather to reed’s daughter and he is a great godfather who loves valeria richards. so.
also christopher cantwell, WHO IS A WRITER FOR DOCTOR DOOM COMICS, said this about doom and reed: “I feel like Reed thinks about Victor maybe once a week. I feel like Victor wakes up and Reed's face is the first thing he sees in his mind. At Victor's funeral, Reed would probably be stoic and say something like 'His was a tremendous mind' and that would be that. At Reed's funeral, Victor would be sobbing and wrapping himself around the casket. He would be crying louder than Sue for god's sake. “

838 Stephen Strange x Reader
Sorry if he’s a bit awkward. I’m trying to get into the swing of writing the different Stranges.
. . .
"Please Christine. Just. think of it as a sorta IOU!” A familiar voice pleaded as Stephen walked past the entrance to the medical wing of the Illuminati HQ.
"Does Stephen know about this?" the older redhead asked tiredly.
"My good Doctor Palmer. If Stephen Strange knew about this do you think I'd be here?" the other voice demanded.
"What don't I know about?" he finally asked, walking in on a somewhat comical scene.
His partner of three years had dived behind a gurney when he entered in an attempt to hide their blackened, singed self.
"Y/N, what are you doing?"
". . . Sharpening my reflexes?” the young sorcerer offered lamely.
Arching an eyebrow, the Sorcerer Supreme patiently waited for the younger, spunky wild card to crack.
It probably took about five seconds of awkward shuffling and Christine heaving an exasperated sigh.
"Just. Just promise you won't get mad,” they demanded.
"That depends,” the former neurosurgeon snorted.
Sighing, Y/N hesitantly stepped out to reveal the extent of the damage. Red clouded the Sorcerer Supreme’s vision as he took in the angry burns on their hands, bright pink nose and cheeks, singed fringe and the quiet pain in the normally cheeky and carefree eyes.
"Where is Reed?" he hissed, knowing full well that the egotistical bastard was fully to blame for the damage Y/N had stustained.
"Labs."
"Christine!" Y/N squawked.
"Like not telling him would stop him," she justified.
Not waiting for the two to hash things out, Stephen turned to march out from the Medical Wing, hunt down Reed, and tell him exactly what he thought of the elastic man dragging his partner into his deranged experiments.
"Stephen, wait!" Y/N yelped, giving chase as the taller man stormed out and down the hall.
It took them a second to catch up with him, but once they did, they ran in front of him, causing him to stop in his tracks to make sure he didn't run them over.
“Just. Wait," they pleaded. " Reed protected we from the major part of the explosion . It could've been a lot worse.”
" Which is exactly why I'm going to give him a piece of my mind," Stephen snarled. " You shouldn't have been in that situation in the first place!”
“I was the one screwing around with shit I shouldout have!” Y/N argued.
“Reed should know better than to let you into the labs!” he fired back, clearly hellbent on crucifying Reed for being in the same room that Y/N had been hurt in.
So, Y/N played their trump card. Letting the tears of pain they’d been holding back finally come out, and giving him their most pained expression as they whispered, "Stephen please. Just drop it. It was my fault, will you please just. Just cuddle me back home? After Christine treats me? Please babe? I've really, really missed you.”
Sighing as he relented to his lover’s pleas, he did his best to let go of the image he’d had the entire time of Reed eternally falling for several hours in a pocket dimension until he felt the man had suffered enough.
Dragging a hand down his face he stated, "You are banned from the labs until the multiverse burns out."
"Noted." Y/N chuckled wryly. “Walk me back to the Medical Wing?”
“Since you are the wounded victim of your own stupidity, just this once, I will portal us there and then home.”
“Have I mentioned that I love you?” they asked as they slumped with relief.
“Not for the last twenty minutes, no,” Stephen teased as he pulled out his sling ring.
“Well, I do.”

googling suggests that Brian Reed was the lead writer for Halo 4... what specifically about the story of H4 makes him the villain? It's been a year or so since I've played h4 so the details beyond the broad strokes have been forgotten.
that said i will agree he's the villain for halo 5 that story is Not Great TM
(i just like hearing your opinions on stuff and am totally not trying to mine ideas for what might be changed in a post halo-3 rewrite because i do love the covenant civil war aspects of 4. or the implications that there has to have been one because conflict drives narratives)

Full disclosure, I really don't know what was going on behind the scenes on Halo 4 or 5 and the most I can do is offer rampant speculation, usually based on my biases and very little evidence.
My impressions are these:
Halo has always always had trouble on story, mostly around having strong leadership and a definite idea of where everything is going. There are too many stakeholders with ideas and teams have struggled to get to unified ideas and then to have enough time to implement what they finalize. This was true during Bungie days and definitely feels like it's been true during 343. (I'm more confident on what I say about 1-3 because I actually have a book with a lot of old interview details that speaks to that.)
They'll build up a lot of interesting stuff around the games, even though my opinions on the quality of that stuff vary widely. I had problems with Halo 4, but the stuff that was coming out around 4 where you had multiple stories interweaving touching each others' threads... that was interesting! That was neat! And they got Greg Bear to write three whole novels for us!!! Fuck Karen Traviss, but like... dude!!!!
...And then the campaign was just. What we got. Don't get me wrong, there are things in Halo 4's campaign that are cool and interesting, but like... there will always remain a part of me that is still pissed that they killed Cortana.
Full stop.
I accept new Halo lore as it comes to me and try to do my best to take my lumps and integrate even things that I don't like, but I am still mad that they killed Cortana in the first place and have never really stopped being that.
....Anyway. I'm getting sidetracked.
Aside from CE, which was intended to be self-contained and thus is pretty straightforward and ends with a clear conclusion, Halo game plots have never really been necessarily good. That is just the nature of the beast. Halo 2 ends on a massive cliffhanger because they literally could not finish putting the whole story they wanted to in that game. Halo 3 is a mess because everyone was so violently burned out from Halo 2 that the leadership problem was even worse.
[Suspicious silence re: Reach goes here because I still can't motivate myself to replay Reach]
Halo 4 falls very flat for me with some things that were good and mostly other things that I had to make my peace with and come to be okay with. I will grouse about things, but we've Halo cycled our way around to a lot of people (including me) acknowledging that not everything about Halo 4 was horrible.
(I guess my big things that piss me off about it are: Cortana, as discussed, wasting the Didact, and the weird fucking pivot on Catherine Halsey's character.)
Anyway, Brian Reed. My comment there was kind of a flippant attempt to respond to something I wasn't sure how to feel about, but here's what I got:
Reed wasn't actually the lead writer on 4, that was Christopher Schlerf. I don't know much about either of these people! But after Schlerf left, Reed was the lead writer on 5 and did a lot of work on the comics (that I still haven't read because blah blah blah my usual excuses.)
It's hard for me to pick out what exactly I think his fingerprints are in different parts of Halo, because I don't know the guy or his work particularly well. I'm better at identifying what I think (no guarantees I'm right) was Staten back in early Halo because I've seen enough solo work from him to kind of know what I think he liked, and I've seen enough of Frank O'Connor talking about stuff in interviews to (rightly or wrongly) blame a couple specific Chief things I hate on him, but I don't have that with Reed.
However, I have read Reed's short story in the Fractures anthology. Opinions may vary on this, nobody's gotta agree with me, but I really had to pause with myself after reading Rossbach's World because... it was thoughtful?
So looking at Reed, who had to take over for another lead writer and try to come up with a following act for Halo 4... I still hate Halo 5. A lot. But like, I get it. Of course it feels like a weird pivot hail Mary to find something to focus on, because it was.
I think it was stupid and I hated it, but I do have some sympathy for the pressure on the person who ended up taking the fall for it. Anything where you are working for a highly opinionated nerd audience with tons of pressure is going to be very difficult.
I feel like they should've borne out the Forerunner story threads instead of pivoting to the Created, and maybe gotten to those ideas after the plate was clear. I also think Cortana deserved to live. (If you want to see what inspired some of my thoughts about that, you should look into Bungie's previous series: Marathon. But it has been too long since I personally dug around in Marathon for me to be terribly helpful about it anymore.)
...But I also think that Reed is just a dude who had a job and produced a story I really don't like. I've heard he's been pretty much harassed off the face of the internet? And like... nothing is worth that, man.
People with more insight and background details about what was going on actively might have more information than I do and better reasons to hate him, but I was really really checked out of Halo for the better part of a decade and I'm honestly pretty soft when it comes down to it.

This is what happens when most of the comics writers are white I guess. Even in a fucking Comics story, they dont like to be reminded of what their kind did in the past.
Solution, let NonWhites write XMen. Have Humans apologise and give Reparations to Mutantkind for the DECADES of racism, and genocides. Lets at least have fictional Humans who arent SHIT. I get that its an absolute FANTASY to expect Racist Mass Murderring Impirialistic bastards to apologise for past sins, but lets at least have that fantasy be written in the comics. Having Humans, the Species of Racists Mass Murdering bastards, be made to apologise for the attrocities they commited should be a common trope. maybe telling stories that make a Race of Racist Mass Murderring bastards be made to at least APOLOGISE for all the mass murder will lead to actual Imperialistic Mass Murdering bastards to feel pressured about apologising for all the Drone bombs and carpet bombs or Jim Crow Laws or Slavery. We NEED to keep telling stories that at least makes the Racist Mass Murderers apologise. But instead, we get stories where the MAJORITY repeatedly GENOCIDES a minority, and gets away with it, and even have the audacity to make DEMANDS of the Minority for resources. wtf.

I think a lot of comic fans should set their expectations right now.
A comment I keep seeing in regards to Namor right now is comic fans saying that Reed Richards better watch out once the Fantastic Four are introduced. This (for anyone unfamiliar) is in relation to the love triangle that Namor, Sue Storm, and Reed are in in the comics. Namor in the comics is immensely into Sue Storm, and the two men have had a rivalry for a long time due to Namor’s interest in Reed’s wife.
But like. Let’s unpack that for the MCU Namor.
Does it make sense for MCU Namor, as we’ve seen him in Wakanda Forever, to pursue the married white blonde woman? An indigenous god-king who has spent centuries protecting and preserving his culture and people from colonization? A Mayan man who was willing and wanted to burn the entire world if it meant protecting his people? What part of this characterization would lead to a love triangle where he is competing for the affection of a white woman?
It just doesn’t make sense. Unless they reimagine Sue Storm completely, I can’t see her being a person he would be romantically interested in or have the desire to compete for. I could see him using the guise of romance or seduction to manipulate Sue if it served the purposes he needs (much how his introduction of Talocan to Shuri was a form of seduction; by showing Shuri the beauty of his kingdom and people, he ensured that she would form appreciation and empathy for his people, something that was very intentional) but not a true romantic interest.
I think the dynamic is fun in the comics, but it simply doesn’t fit this version of the character.
