Bullet train incorrect quotes:
Y/N: I made you a bracelet
Tangerine: You know, I'm not really a jewelry person
Y/N: Well, you don't have to wear it-
Tangerine: No, I'm gonna wear it forever. Back off.

I dont know, but something about the fact that Tangerine canonically won his school's staring contest when he was little explains so much about him

If you, like me, thought Tangerine and Lemon were the best part of Bullet Train (2022), I have great news!
The book Bullet Train by Kotaro Isaka (trans. Sam Malissa) is filled with great character descriptions and quirks that didn’t make it or get touched on in the movie. You really get a deeper and better look at these characters.

Lemon looks suddenly serious. “I’m not gonna die easy.”
“No, I guess you won’t. And if you do, you’re stubborn enough to come back.”
“You too, Tangerine. You and me, if we die, we’ll come back for sure.”
“Like trees bearing fruit every year?”
“We’ll both be back.”

Finally finished reading ‘Bullet Train’ by Kotaro Isaka, so I’m gonna give you some of the most interesting bits about Lemon and Tangerine from it (mostly about Tangerine, cuz I love that man) BULLET TRAIN SPOILERS BELOW! (Part 1)
- The Lemon & Tangerine chapters are called Fruit -  They are known as the most violent and the most dangerous in the business  They’ve been working together for five years already when the events of the book transpire. Tangerine usually cleans up Lemon’s mess, because he is sloppy and irresponsible. - “Lemon and Tangerine are the same height, around five ten, and both have the same rangy build.” People think they are brothers, twins even, much to the annoyance of Tangerine, because Lemon is careless and simplistic. It is said that “Tangerine is easy to deal with but Lemon is a pain”. Lemon is “just like the fruit - no one wants to eat a lemon” (this is what Tangerine says in the movie)
- Tangerine is a reader (you’ve heard this already); upon seeing Minegishi’s son he comments: “Probably nothing on the inside... Often the case with people who don’t read fiction” Tangerine can be very dangerous and Lemon knows that when Tangerine loses his temper, he is “ruthless and nearly unstoppable”. It’s hard to tell whether he is angry. “He erupts all at once, without any warning”. He starts quoting books and movies when he’s angry. - “Lemon have you ever seen me reading a medical textbook? “You’re always reading something.” -  Tangerine always takes a book with him, jobs included and he reads whenever he has time, he prefers fiction - Tangerine recommends “To the Lighthouse’ to Lemon; “We perished, each alone.”
- “I’m Dolce, he’s Gabbana” - Tangerine
- Tangerine describes himself as “organized and precise”, and does his jobs nice and neat
- Tangerine showing ‘detective skills’ after Minegishi’s son is murdered, and when he is inspecting Lemon’s body (nice touch)
 - L and T promising that even if they die, they will come back (please do come back for a prequel)
- “I’m not careful, you’re just careless.”
- Lemon giving Tangerine a drawing of Arthur, who’s never had an accident as a good-luck charm... Tangerine takes it tho... (and dies in an accident)
- “Well, my dear Tangerine, what shall we do now”
- “Mr Lemon” “What is it, my good Tangerine?”
- Lemon always wakes up later than Tangerine

From Bullet Train: The Art and Making of the Film by Abbie Bernstein, p. 55:
Tumblr media
In the original script, Lemon was supposed to be killed by The Prince, but Henry didn't want to die and we loved him so much we asked Brad how he felt if we were to keep Lemon alive. Brad said, "Wouldn't it be great if Ladybug had a character to bounce off of when he's trying to stop the train?" And I'm like, "What if we kept Lemon alive?"
This, Leitch adds, was partly inspired by improvised dialogue between Henry and Taylor-Johnson, which made the filmmaker think that Lemon could be wearing a bulletproof vest, based on Tangerine's advice. "Brothers never want to admit that one is helping the other, but at the end of the day, they really listen to each other, and that's the biggest demonstration of love you can have."
Henry had a deeper reason for wanting Lemon to live. The actor was so disturbed by seeing Omar Epps and Jada Pinkett's characters die in the opening of Scream 2 (1997) that he eventually determined "that I would only include myself in movies where I have got a fighting chance. In this movie, it was literal. I've always been into these cool action movies, but in most of them, people who look like me are killed within the first fifteen minutes. And we don't think about what that does to the audience that looks like me when they see that. I discussed this with David, and David heard that. Lemon ultimately makes it. I think if sixteen-year-old me saw this movie, I'd be, 'Oh, my God.' Because I never thought it was possible. [In most blockbusters], the black body count is huge, and it's done at the beginning of the movie. You don't get a chance to root for that person. I'm glad that, in this movie, we created a universe where you could."
Brian Tyree-Henry is the reason Lemon survived!! Everyone say Thank You Brian!!

Quote
But they hear a small sound between them, coming from the kid, Little Minegishi. He's making uncertain noises. 'Uh. Um.' 'What?' asks Tangerine. 'What?' asks Lemon. 'Um, what, uh, what were your names again?' When they had found him the night before, he was tied to a chair and wrung out like a limp rag. Tangerine and Lemon woke him up and carried him out, and he just kept saying I'm sorry, I'm sorry, he couldn't get anything else out. Tangerine realises that the kid probably has no idea what's going on. 'I'm Dolce, he's Gabbana,' he says off-handedly.
