Kunikatai where only Fukuzawa, Yosano and Ranpo know they're together.

Kunikida wouldn't discuss something like this at work, especially not with Dazai. And Katai is a social recluse so neither of them are really seen together.

That is until the Cannabalism arc when Kunikida sees the footage of Fyodor shooting Katai.

Atsushi was already sus of something going on, because he's previously met Katai with Kunikida present. And seen how soft they are to each other.

Now though, now it's clear because Kunikida loses it.

It's werid because Kunikida's anger has always been reminiscent of a flame. But here it's cold and seething.

He works as efficient as ever, finding the tape and confirming the futon is bullet proof. There's an edge to his words and he almost seems calm but Atsushi knows otherwise.

And the moment Kunikida sees Katai, that anger fades to overwhelming relief. He runs to him, holds him and fusses over Katai who's amused and reassuring him he's okay.

They both just hold each other, lost in their own worlds. Atsushi quietly leaves to give them privacy.

Katai finds him later and thanks him for his help and to see if he's okay. And Atsushi reassures him he's fine.

"So... You and Kunikida?"

"Heh, yeah."

Okay one thing I think of on this lawful day is this.

We joke about like, all the ADA dating enemies except for Kunikida right? And Kunikida finding out about it like-

Kunikida: "THE PORT MAFIA EXECUTIVE DAZAI? NAKAHARA CHUUYA? THAT'S YOUR 'CUTE LITTLE CHIBI HOUSEWIFE'?!

Dazai, thrilled that Kunikda said 'chibi' with his actual voice: "Hey, Atsushi's dating Akutagawa."

Atsushi: "WHA-"

Kunikida, rounding in him: "THE RABID DOG?! IS ANYONE HERE NOT DATING A MEMBER OF THE PORT MAFIA?!"

Yosano: (coughs and carefully rearranges the flower arrangement from Kouyou.)

Ranpo: "I'm not!"

Kunikida: "Oh! Well... Thank you Ranpo, I shouldn't have expected less from such an exemplary dete-"

Ranpo: "I'm dating Poe."

Kunikida: "..."

Kunikida: (SCREAMS)

But I think this would be followed up with Kunikida admitting to have a relationship with Katai, and Fukuzawa coming in like-

Fukuzawa: "You have a romantic relationship with another member of the ADA?"

Kunikida: "Well, Katai technically isn't-"

Fukuzawa: "Nonetheless, a workplace relationship has to be undertaken with care. I hope you have filled out the appropriate forms to HR?"

Kunikida: "... WE DON'T HAVE HR!"

Fukuzawa: "Nonetheless. Of course, I would never stand in the way of love, or dictate who you can start a relationship with, but I will say you ought to have put some... foresight, in who and how you start a relationship."

Kunikida: (Literally passes out, both from bubbling rage and shame at his own failure)

Dazai: "... President, is this because you didn't want to admit to thirsting over TWO heads of enemy organisations?"

Fukuzawa: "Back to work."

Basically I think it would be funny is after all the dramatics and shenanigans, KUNIKDA is the one with the illegal relationship.

yall don't understand, when irl sasaki left him, irl kunikida coped by writing romantic (genre) poetry with irl katai. irl kunikida told irl katai about his vivid nightmares of murdering sasaki with a ceremonial sword he owned. then bsd gives us a world where kunikida and katai not only maintain their intensely tender relationship, but one in which they met at age 12. allowing me to then project onto them the extremely nostalgic and homoromantic kunikida short story My Sad Recollection of a Picture. most underrated ship of all time.

I'm sorry I can't take Fyodor seriously after seeing him fail to kill Katai.

Katai was in bed on his laptop and Fyodor shot him in the back. And yes, Katai had a bullet proof futon which meant he didn't get shot at all.

But really, you didn't check?

Like at least Dazai got fake shot in the head and than real shot several other times. He had a whole ass plan to fool Fyodor.

Katai was for all intents and purposes taking a nap.
