Friendly reminder that Brooke not only has met Hot Uncle Cooper in passing, but knows him well enough to know he wouldn't date a hs girl. You can't tell me Brooke & Nathan were just acquainted through Peyton if she knows his uncle. I have close friends who's uncles I don't know. They ! Are ! Friends !

I once saw someone say Sophia Bush and James Lafferty look like siblings and now I can’t unsee see it.
The sibling similarity is more noticeable in the adult years imo because they both have pale skin with red undertones. With less makeup they look even more like family 😂😂

Even throughout the later episodes, Nathan is always asking about Brooke, whether Haley or Julian, and checking up on her. I really have it in my head that they were closer in high school (despite being antagonistic towards each other, based on how they were at that time) & that he has a soft spot towards her. Kind of like Gossip Girl's "Non-Judgmental Breakfast Club" vibes, where even when they're not together Nate is protective over Blair and Serena (Chuck is too toxic to compare to THEE Nathan Scott).

@story1ines gets another Brathan starter
It would be an understatement to think that Nathan had been through a lot in the past year or so. The damn glass window had taken away what was so close to happening in basketball. The months afterward, where he had been a dick to everyone, including Haley. Then, there was the mess with Carrie. He honestly never had any interest in her and she had pushed herself on him too many times and what happened in the shower, if Haley hadn't come in and thrown her ass out of the shower, he would have. But, he tried making it right, tried telling Haley that he never wanted Carrie like that
But the night that Jamie had fallen in the pool, they had been fighting. He had told her everything, but he couldn't take back what he was telling her when they were fighting. Sometimes, nothing was good enough for her, and emotions were high. He thought she'd calm down about the divorce thing, but the thing was, she still thought it was for the best and he was tired of being rejected by her, so he pretty much just agreed. The thing was North Carolina had that rule about being separated for a year.
That was several months ago, when he was not in an apartment. He could have insisted on keeping the house, but he didn't want to uproot Jamie. So, they shared custody. He was with Nathan a lot, but he was with her a lot too.
The thing was there were things that Nathan wasn't good at, like cooking or well, remembering things. Jamie had a meltdown earlier, because he didn't want to go to bed and Nathan normally could handle it. But, tonight it was just a lot. He definitely took after his mother, when he told him it was all his fault and locked himself in the bathroom.
Taking a deep breath, he couldn't call Haley about this. He had to make her think he had it under control. So, he figured he would text Jamie's favorite person for help, since the last time he tried to talk to him through the door, he got told it was his fault that he was here and not home with Chester. The ironic part of this situation was that he had moved back into his high school apartment.
He had texted her something crazy, along the lines out of Jamie is locked in the bathroom because Chester isn't here. Help. I've got booze. The booze was for them, not Jamie.
But, he could remember a time before Haley was in their lives, when telling Brooke he had booze did the job. Hopefully, it worked this time too.
He changed his shirt and tried to look presentable.
