5. how does your character's past make them feel?
adler looks back at his life and feels fulfilled and happy. adler has done so much good in his life and he's been able to meet so many people through his experiences and adventures. i think his time as the freelancer is soured by the events of the metal cage flashback chapters, but not completely ruined. adler's past makes him feel proud
21. what do you find saddest about your character?
how little he gets in return 😭 the metal cage flashback chapters are sad for adler but i don't find them the saddest because honestly it's my favorite piece of writing i've ever produced and adler's traumatic experience is fucking awesome 💯 but it makes me sad to see how much he's done for the general population and for all of the characters. adler's really wise and gives good advice and no one listens to him... then they get the shit kicked out of them. you wonder why
30. what would you say is fundamental knowledge to understanding this character?
i've referenced metal cage in both of the other answers. literally metal cage. metal cage is the fundamental knowledge
metal cage is a two chapter thing that takes place in book two. they're adler's flashback chapters (every main character gets a flashback chapter) and take place a bit before the start of book one. metal cage part one details adler picking up a job to "repair metal prosthetics" but the job is so demanding that he starts hallucinating a monster made of metal bones, so he gets scared and runs. part two details him restarting his life as kanna's roommate

gonna add a quick note that like every character sent is from sfts and ilya is from tmimitw which is like very different in vibes. just funny to me
1. how does your character see themselves? how does this contend with the person they are?
ilya hates himself but for none of the right reasons. he'll be like "i'm a bad person... because i can't cure my dad's dementia" like bro you are stealing government funding to buy a glass observatory for thirty five thousand dollars. i think the funniest thing about ilya is that he's got a lot of weird problems but none of his trauma explains it. he went through a lot of awful childhood experiences and then he's like "oh my god i HAVE to be a huge cunt now in a completely unrelated way" he's like jumin han if jumin wasn't sexy
8.) what does your character's wardrobe look like?
ilya lives in sazarac which is cold as fuck and he wears a lot of muted colors, mostly black. tmimitw doesn't take place in a modern setting, he dresses like one of those fuckers from the 1800s.
20.) what do you find funniest about your character?
i feel bad because tmimitw is a sad story and it's more serious than the rest but ilya genuinely is kinda funny. his dialogue is funny and he's really interesting in the way he acts and the path he's chosen, he's just so silly. him being sort of a quack and a pretentious fuck is sooo funny to me especially because he's genuinely good at other things. he's amazing at fighting which is more important in sazarac but he's dogshit at medicine. what's the point dude. did he pick you?
