"You haven't seen him, Sam?"
The tall, dark and handsome bird glances up at your question from the grassy knoll where Nat has planted herself. The delightful creature is dead asleep between his strong thighs after a night on Bucky's secret farm from hell – the asshole needs to mow his damn lawn, Sam decides, flicking straw away from her hair.
"No, I can't see shit," he hisses over the sweet head of flames, legs going numb. "It's 1am, there's nothing left in that Asgardian liquor we found, so..." A scoff of a pause. "Where do you think he is?"
Bucky rolls his eyes at him, mouth quirking. Of course, where else could he be? He glances at you, eyes laughing, glittering silver cerulean in the moonlight and face pretty as a marble god. Someone thought it was a great idea to hire a bouncehouse for the Fourth of July, because why wouldn't it be as an assassin with a penchant for knives.
Eyes roll all around, because that's what you do now. "I'll go find him," you reply, laughing softly, jogging away towards the monstrosity of a clown's mouth Bucky called a "castle for jumping".
Steve used to like clowns, he told you once. Steve is a drunk, sleepy man in no condition to like anything, you decide as you duck into the bouncehouse to see him lying on his side surrounded by–
"Where'd you get the fruit, Steve?" you ask gently, trying to stifle your laughter as your eyes rest upon that tired, handsome face.
"Stole 'em," he replies as if it's the most obvious thing in the world.
"Why?"
"I wanted to see what it felt like," he grins all sloppy and stupid, eyes glowing bright. "Bucky has a tree near the house. He always used to find oranges for me back then... in Brooklyn." He trails off, ambling, well -- crawling towards you as much as the surface of the house allows him. Lemons about in all directions and it's all you can do to stop from giggling.
"These are lemons, baby," you chide him, catching him in your lap as the motion eases around you.
"Close enough," Steve replies as his hands slip between the hemline of your shirt, against your waist, hot palms on skin, and his touch sends a shiver through your spine.
"Tell me about the oranges," you say, running your fingers through that golden hair as he turns his head upwards, eyes dark and deep with adoration, like a man worshipping the moon.
"They were..." Steve trails off, trying to find the words, feeling how warm you are in his hands, huge, hulking body pressed against your lap, higher now against your chest. Golden fruit dip and roll around you as he pulls you over his thighs, resting against his growing desire and your breath hitches just a touch as you wait with bated breath on his next words.
"Sweet," he says at last, and his face is so close now, so beautiful in the hazy, dreamy cloud of the space. "Like it was the only thing I could ever want."
Steve's hands are so warm against your neck, your throat, skin on skin, warm, warm, warm. His mouth is so close, pretty pink lips, the scent of straw and pine and linen in equal measure fogging up your senses, and god, he is truly the one you want, the one you will always adore.
"Like you," he whispers and kisses you with a groan from your throat as your lips meet at last, finally, finally – the greedy and sweet, wondrous delight of a thing you call home.
His hands are in your hair, pulling you closer, closer, not close enough, godfuckingdammit – lips of sin and sweetness, his tongue stroking your own, the side of your mouth, the line of your jaw, teeth scratching against your throat, and a shiver runs through your skin, breathless and gasping. Your fingers cling to his t-shirt, ravenous, hungry, starving and–
"Hey!"
Bucky, the fucking imbecile.
"I have to get this thing cleaned and returned first thing." You turn, half-breathing, half-cackling as you watch the man's face turn pure disgust and even in equal measure as he glances around as comprehension dawns like a lit flame.
"Did you assholes steal my lemons?!"
