Hey. Heyyyyy. Guess what.
I’m obsessed with Amphibia. You probably already knew that if you pay attention to my blog lol.
I wrote more about the gay frogs. Sashanne this time. This takes place as part of the CMBTY au when Blossom, Sea and Flame are 13/14 during the war in Amphibia. This means I’m referring to them as Anne and Sasha.
So, without further ado, I present to you:
Blueberry and Chocolate

Sasha’s eyes are blue. Anne knows this. Logically, it makes sense. Sasha has heterochromia and has been switching eye colours for years now. Even so, Anne still can’t get the thought out of her head. The entire time they have been in Amphibia, or at least for the parts where they’ve met up, Sasha’s eyes have always been brown. Until now.
Ever since coming back, Sasha’s been acting like a whole new person. Sure, Anne doesn’t fully trust her yet, but she’s getting there. Sasha made her co-commander. They get to go on missions together now. Everything about that is great. Except, for Sasha’s eyes. Anne can’t stop staring at them. They remind her of the ocean, of the sky, of her own powers.
They keep pulling Anne into a trance and so far, she’s had very bad luck snapping out of it. Why the sudden colour change? Why can’t Anne keep her eyes off hers? It’s all very confusing. She needs to stop staring, like she’s doing right now, but no matter how hard she tries, she can’t pull herself away. Luckily enough, help comes in the form of a purple menace crashing into her.
“Wow sis. We were all calling you. Are you losing your hearing?” Polly looks up at her expectantly as Anne refocuses on the room around her.
“No. I’m fine. Just zoned out, that’s all. What were we talking about?” Sasha chuckles and Anne keeps her eyes pinned to the map in front of her so she doesn’t zone out again.
“With what we know from mother olm, Andrias is close to being ready to invade earth. At this present time, we need to focus on building a bigger army. We’ve slowed down his plans enough to buy us time, but we still need to act fast.” Sasha stops, then yawns. Grime gives her a look and it takes everything in Anne to not get stuck in a trance again. Grime cuts in.
“It’s late and we should all be getting to bed. We can discuss more in the morning.” Sasha groans and tries to protest but Grime cuts her off. “Especially you Sasha. You haven’t been sleeping enough lately. Bed. Now.”
Sasha glares at the old toad before turning around and gathering her things. Everyone else starts to do the same. Anne sees Grime go over to Sasha and ask her something quietly. She can’t make out what they’re saying, but Sasha gives a slight nod and Grime turns towards the Plantars.
He steps over to Anne just as she’s about to leave, tapping her on the shoulder to gain her attention.
“May I have a word?” Anne looks at him with slight shock. Why would Grime want to talk to her?
“Sure.” She says. The Plantars wait by the door while Grime pulls Anne to the side of the room. She catches a glance from Sasha on the way.
“Sasha has been having nightmares lately. Would it be possible for you to stay with her tonight? Having you around comforts her.” Grime whispers to her. Things make a lot more sense now.
“Of course. As long as Sasha’s ok with it.” Grime nods and throws a thumbs up in Sasha’s direction. She smiles slightly, her eyes crinkling with the movement and oh no Anne’s stuck again. Luckily, Grime snaps her out of it. Leading her to the door.
After a brief explanation of why she won’t be heading back with the Plantars, Anne, Sasha and Grime are off towards Sasha’s room. They walk in silence, catching each other's eyes momentarily every once and a while. Finally, they make it to the cave.
“Well, I’m going to head to my room. Have a good sleep you two.” With that, Grime leaves the two of them alone. Sasha watches him go before opening the door to her room. She holds it for Anne who follows her in. Sasha closes the door and turns to Anne.
“Sorry about this. The nightmares have just been really bad la-“ Anne cuts her off.
“Dude, chill. I don’t mind.” Sasha sighs and leans her forehead on Anne’s shoulder. Anne rubs her back. She looks very tired.
“Come on. Let’s get you to bed.” Anne leads Sasha over to the bed and plops her things down beside it. She pulls out a pair of pajamas and lays them on the bed in front of her. “Do you have anything to change into?” She asks Sasha. Sasha nods her head and goes to rummage through her clothes pile, pulling out a set of pink, silk pajamas. Something she’s probably had since toad tower.
She walks back over to Anne, laying them on the bed beside her set. She then starts taking off her armour. Anne starts to disrobe as well. They’ve done this many times. They’ve bathed together for years. Anne was apprehensive at first, but was fine after she came out to Sasha as Trans.
Anne manages to get her chest plate and shirt off before she hears a grunt from beside her. Sasha is struggling with the lacing on her armour.
“Want some help?” Sasha turns to Anne.
“Yes please.” She asks in a quiet voice. She turns towards Anne and holds her arms out in a T, letting Anne access the lacing on her sides. Anne carefully unties the knots that hold the armour together, helping Sasha get it over her head afterwards. After that, they both slip out of their clothes and into their pajamas easily, but Anne still can’t meet Sasha’s eyes.
Eventually the two climb into Sasha’s bed, leaving space between them. Anne reaches over and turns out the glowshrooms, bathing the room in darkness. They lay there for a few minutes, just listening to each other’s breathing. It’s Sasha who decides to break the silence.
“Can we talk? It can be about anything, I just need to distract myself.” Anne shifts onto her side, now facing Sasha. Sasha turns towards her as well. It’s hard to see in the dim lighting, but trickles of light from outside of the room give just enough visibility that Anne can see the hints of blue in her friends eyes.
“Sure. Want me to start?” Anne replies softly. Sasha nods her head into her pillow and Anne takes a breath.
“When did you change your eyes to blue?” Sasha chuckles into a sigh.
“I knew you would notice. It took Grime a bit.” She smiles and Anne can’t help but smile back. “They were brown in Newtopia as you probably remember. I take them out to sleep usually. Actually,” she sits up and reaches over Anne to the table beside her bed. Anne sees what she’s reaching for and hands over the contact container.
Sasha takes it with a ‘thanks’. She reaches up to her right eye and takes out her contact, and sets it in its container, closing the lid on it after and handing it back to Anne. Anne places it on the table as Sasha flops back down onto her pillow.
“There. Now it won’t get stuck.” They chuckle together before Sasha continues. “The town was wiped out in the middle of the night. I had my brown contact by where I was sleeping. I tried to fight before we got overrun. I grabbed my bag but completely forgot the contact. It got destroyed. I switched to blue afterwards.” Oh. Why hadn’t she thought of that.
“Are you sad that you lost it?” Anne asks. Sasha shakes her head.
“No. It was just another part of me that belonged to my bitch of a mother. Now I get to be like my dad.” Anne can see Sasha smile and she smiles too.
“I’ve always loved your eyes.” She admits. She sees Sasha look at her in surprise. Anne continues.
“Even when we were younger. I was amazed the first time I saw them without contacts on. I know you think they’re weird, but I can’t help but get lost in them. Sorry for staring so much.” She chuckles and looks away.
She feels Sasha take her hand. “You really think so? Most people think they’re strange.”
“Well, I think they’re beautiful.” They turn towards each other. Anne continues, letting her gaze finally fall on Sasha’s eyes again. “I know what it’s like. Having things about your body that you don’t like. If you don’t like them, it’s your choice to change them. Don’t let other people’s opinions make you.” Anne squeezes Sasha’s hand reassuringly.
She sniffles and Anne panics. “Sash! Oh no. Did I say something wron-” She’s cut off as Sasha buries her head in Anne’s chest, tucking just under her neck and crying. Anne hugs her and strokes her hair. Sasha starts to calm eventually. She whispers something into Anne’s skin, just barely loud enough to catch.
“Thank you.” Anne smiles and pulls her closer, throwing a leg over Sasha’s body.
“Any time Sash. Now, get some sleep.” Anne presses a kiss to the top of Sasha’s hair, faintly making out brown roots in the dark. “You need it.”
Anne listens as Sasha’s breathing steadies, signaling that her partner has fallen into sleep at last.
“Damn. She’s cute.” Anne thinks. “...wait. Oh.”
She likes Sasha. Like-likes Sasha. This is awkward. She looks down at her companion.
“That’s a worry for another time. Goodnight Sasha.”
Like Sasha, Anne finds sleep in the arms of her best friend. Her best friend with her shining, blueberry and chocolate eyes.

Toon Kids confront Zhan Tiri
Hilda, Lincoln Loud, Anne Boonchuy, Sprig Plantar, Luz Noceda, King, Dipper and Mabel Pines, Star Butterfly and the (original!) Powerpuff Girls confront Zhan Tiri for ruining Cassandra's chance to make up with Rapunzel...
But Zhan Tiri doesn't see the Toon Kids as a threat.

Seriously: in the latest episode, Cass actually wanted to reconnect with Raps and apologize to her! But noooooo: ZT denied her that chance! I'm gonna be so happy when this horrid little Gremlin is finally taken down in the Series Finale!

If the toad tower in reunion represents Sasha and Anne's friendship, then what if the tower in true colors represents the current state of the friendship. At least in reunion the tower was still standing barely, but in true colors it was completely gone in a blue explosion.
Now let's look at who did the exploding each time. In reunion it was Wally, the towns person who taught Anne to not care what others thought and to just be happy. There are instances of Sasha using the tactic of pushing others down using, what others might think, more specifically what she will think. Without that fear the (blue), exploding mushrooms make the tower fall.
Now for true colors it was King andrias using the calamity box to send a blue energy blast to explode the tower. This act was right after Marcy had her forced confession, making Sasha and Anne draw back, puting a strain on their friendship. Speaking of Anne and Sasha Anne ended their friendship near the beginning of the episode. So that bridge is burned to ashes. That friendship was doomed to fall with a bit of extra pressure and Anne even if she's the heart has been backstabed one to many times. In short the reason Anne said Sprig was her best friend was because the friendship she had with Marcy and Sasha had already exploded and crumbled to dust.
As a side note there seems to be a theme with the Toad towers, blue explosions and finales. Also there seems to be one more per finale, slightly worrying.

Amphibia is all about the rule of three. Three gems,three main races, three seasons and the three girls. One thing I see overlooked for Anne in comparison to the other two is a bragging speech. First for Sasha in Toadcatcher after her and Grime throw Yunnan off a cliff and one for Marcy in the first temple while the gang is on Joe Sparrow.
One is in season 2a and the other in season 2b so maybe in season three Anne will get her own speech detailing her own accomplishments.

I know most people say that each girl in our trio will have one of three elements, nature, fire and water. I would like to suggest that each girl has all three in differing amounts.
Anne has the most nature/plant element with the sticks and leaves. Her hair is blue which is a colour associated with water and at times she resembles a fire flicking about the room in flashes of light.
Sasha probably will have the most fire influence with red and power being associated with fire. This hypothetical calamity Sasha will probably get the nature element in relation to the fact that burnt ground grows greener. It would also highlight her journey from a mean popular girl able to be set alight at the smallest spark of rebellion, to a fiery revolutionary and finally (hopefully) in the end a protector of others who helps others blossom into their best selves. Her water element could be that she shoots rivers of fire and lava or maybe hair that drips with power or both.
Next a corrupted marcy she would probably have powers related to oil. It's liquid like water, highlights the worst qualities of fire and harms nature/environment. It's got a rainbow of colours yet is dark as night. Final piece of evidence most water when corrupted in media turns into oil/an oil like substance.
Marcy herself has the green hair of the wisdom gem which is her nature element. Her gem could have a more supportive powerset then the other two. Foreshadowed with her being in the back of the mural/her past equivalent being in the back along with her being a drummer in battle of the bands. Water is also regarded as calmer then the other elements on the list. Her hair will probably have a flame like shape or she'll glow brighter then the other two at will. It would provide distraction to enemies and help as a human flashlight.
Together the elements make new beginnings and each of our girls needed a new beginning. All had strengths in certain elements but hints of others throughout.

Here's a little something I've been thinking about for a little while now... an amphibia infinity train au. Here are some basic details.
1. Anne, Sasha and Marcy end up on the train after stealing an ordinary music box.
2. Marcy, curious about why a train was suddenly crossing the old playground and wanting adventure, ran onto the train first
3. Anne went next fearing for Marcy's safety and being the responsible caretaker she was ran after her.
4. Sasha, with an attitude a blend of wait for me and you'll die without my protection runs on the train last
5. All three of the girls numbers when they first arrive on the train are 330. 202 for the toxic friendship and the rest for their flaws unique to them.
6. Anne arrives in the rainbow rainforest car from book three and travels to the frog car in a few days when she finds the exit.
7. She meets Sprig in the frog car after about a week on her own.
8. Sasha arrives in a repurposed Toad car from book two. The train keeping a talking toad theme but making everything else the opposite.
9. Sasha is kept there until some Goms arrive in the car and the toads more specifically Grime defends her cell and frees her where upon they make the traveling deal.
10. Grime persuades her to help him loot/tax other nearby train cars and the second in comand deal was made.
11. Marcy arrives in the Newt car which is far away from the (relatively) close Frog and Toad cars. The Ice wall car in particular is a major obstacle.
12. Marcy unknowingly does scouting for the King to attack the Engine and for his lord to take possession of the train.

Hey does anyone think the gladiatorial games that exist in amphibia will come back in the series proper.
It could be a highlight of Andrias's cruelty. That the punishment for being captured as a member or former member of the rebelion is to fight for the king's amusement.
Sasha and Grime could get captured and offer an episode of Grime's past. Fights to the death are also a major test of strength.

I DID IT!!!!!! I FINISHED IT!!!
Amphibia au stuff! I’ve been writing a bit of a story for a while called Call Me Back To You. The basic premise is this:
18 year olds, Anne, Sasha and Marcy are using the Calamity Box to transport to Newtopia Castle when the portal goes haywire. The three are split and thrown into the past, ending up with their younger counterparts the night of Hop Till You Drop. With no apparent way home and a half explanation from their deity, the guardian, they start to realise differences between this timeline and their own.
Helping their younger counterparts along the way, the calamity warriors of the future must fix the timeline, rejoin as a group, maybe set up the younger three along the way and find a way back home. Although, revealing too much or changing traumatizing events could ruin their chances at making it home forever.
I’ll post a wip tmrw for wip wednesday. I might also do posters like these for the other two pairs. Hope you like it!

“What’s wrong?” There’s a pause. She realises the lack of her energetic brother. “Where’s Sprig?!” Polly holds Anne tighter.
“He ran off to explore the school grounds, but that was 10 minutes ago. He should be back by now!”
Knowing Sprig, he could have gotten into all sorts of trouble by now. With determination, Anne picks up Polly, resting her in her hair.
“Which way did he go?”
“That way.” Polly points towards a group of trees off the field.
“Let’s go find our brother.”

Anne's been having issues getting used to her new powers. When Sprig goes missing from the school grounds, she has to learn to control them to get him back.

OMC I FINISHED IT!
Marcy is really happy to see her girlfriends. She was having a crappy day, so Ally invited them over. The only thing is, someone forgot to keep her powers in check. Don’t worry. Sasha put it out.

“Don’t worry Marce. I have tons.” He says and kisses their forehead.
“B-but it was yours. I destroyed something t-that was y-yours.” They lean into the touch, sobs turning to sniffles.
“Marcy, my love, can you breathe for me? It’s ok.”
“B-b-but…”
“No buts. I don’t mind in the slightest. Besides, now I get to see you with your pretty hair down.”
Marcy chuckles wetly and Sasha reaches for a brush on her bedside table. She brushes Marcy’s hair, helping Marcy calm down.
When Anne teleports in, aiding in the comfort of their girlfriend, Sasha comes up with a plan.

Sasha makes Marcy a gift after they accidentally burn one of Sasha’s scrunchies they stole.
