A cliff or a peak is wonderful, but waters can add so much to the whole experience. And I know that I made a similar post a year ago on Instagram, but those six images didn't do justice to Slovenia's waters. Honestly, I don't think the addition of five more photos will be enough, but it's something. If nothing else, looking at them heals and deepens my post-holiday blues at the same time. Il lago presenta una lunghezza di 2.120 metri e una larghezza nel punto più ampio di 1.380 metri, con un diametro di circa 2 km. La sua profondità massima è di 30,6 metri. Il lago è situato in un ambiente pittoresco con la cornice di montagne e foreste. La piccola isola, l'Isola di Bled (in sloveno: Blejski otok) unica isola naturale della Slovenia. Sull'isololotto vi sono diversi edifici fra cui la Chiesa di S. Maria Assunta costruita nel XV secolo.
