Ichigo Kurosaki -> Gloriosa

Aside from the 13 other flowers—which are associated with each of the Soul Society’s thirteen court guard squads respectively—the Gloriosa is also pictured in Bleach’s sixteenth opening theme song. The Gloriosa is also called the glory lily, flame lily and climbing lily. It is known as Gurorioosa (グロリオサ) in Japanese. Its hanakotoba meanings are glory and bravery. In English floriography, they also symbolise passion, purity, beauty and pride. Its name is derived from the Latin word “gloriosus” which means splendid. This name was inspired by its bright, fiery colouration and majestic, wave-like petals. The symbolism invoked by the Gloriosa not only greatly commemorates Bleach’s grand return with the TYBW arc—but also greatly complements Ichigo’s character. Ichigo’s name means to “protect one thing” and he has lived up to his name by bravely fighting in a number of glorious battles to protect those important to him.

BLEACH Anime Celebration for Cour 2

That's right, we're doing it again!

I thought because last year's event was pretty successful that we could celebrate the return of the anime, this time for cour 2 (which is set to be released in July).

For those not familiar with this event, the BLEACH Anime Celebration is an open-ship (platonic and romantic) and open-character event that will accept submissions of fanart, fanfiction, edits, and headcanons. This is also a SFW event and late submissions posted within the week after the event is over will be included.

As decided in the previous poll, it'll be a typical fandom week with two or more themes per day to choose from.

This is where you all come in: please send any prompt or theme suggestions either via asks to this blog or messaging me by 11:59pm Tuesday May 30th.

Themes can be anything and everything, from a single word (eg. 'rain'), something related to BLEACH (eg. 'anything but the rain'), a situation (eg. 'a rainy day') or a quote (eg. 'To stop that rain, I shall lend you any strength, any power.') Themes will be announced June 3rd and depending on how many suggestions I get, we'll likely have two or three themes per day.

For dates, please vote in this poll for the week in July that works best for you! Update: it looks like we'll be hosting the event in the first week ofJuly!

two days ago I made a post about how weird and uncomfy it makes me feel that my hometown zoo recently replaced the entire petting zoo area with a bunch of dinosaur models in astroturfed paddocks, which I almost immediately deleted

today they’ve just announced they’re building a ropes course with ziplining, and like.... man...... I really do hate this

Back when I was really into BLEACH, I used to ship Grimmjow and Momo together. Something about them...fits.

I was randomly strolling through hulu and saw that Bleach Tybw was finally avaliable and immedietly started watching!!

Nothing can stop me from binging watching through old seasons of bleach this weekend!
