The blanket answer is: anyone with magical healing in my setting has empathic sense, so they wouldn't normally cause pain to someone to avoid feeling it themselves. But other than that, Ianim. Our dear Princeling likes to keep his hands clean.

Anthea, the First Prince. Ianim actually curses on page but the instances are so few and far between that it immediately catches everyone's attention, more reliably than raising his voice.

Do any of your OCs have lucky numbers/colours?

Not really. Number 5 is lucky in the setting overall, and Lissan, the protag, has a red ribbon tied on his Sword, because red attracts monsters, so in theory it will distract them from their defenceless victims, but that's about it.

What type of music is popular in your world?

While the upper class enjoys classical music, most of the population opts for catchy tunes with humorous stories told over multiple verses. Something lively that you can sing while walking or doing manual labour. Other than that, there's also plenty of folk dances.

What's the biggest world you've created?

Ok, I've created two, and although it's not exactly completed, Avia, the world of The Fulcrum, is a much larger landmass with many cultures interacting with each other. In comparison, my main setting, the Sunblesssed Realm is limited to a smaller continent (roughly the size of Europe) and has a relatively homogenous culture.

I think the project name for the world is project ray...? Daycycle has become a way to speak about the world, but it really is just the book series. BLB’s Great Fast Plan

Being that I decided that this post apparently needed to be longer than the Summa, I’ve put this post under a cut. I’d love to hear what other people are doing for Lent/the Great Fast!

All right boys and girls, it’s Meatfare, which means we’re almost at Great and Holy Lent. For Roman rite people following who might not be aware, today is the day that Orthodox and (traditionally) Eastern Catholics have their last hurrah for meat.

Next week is Cheesefare Sunday. That’s the day we say “Buh-bye!” to dairy.

But I’m not totally giving up cheese/dairy. I went over this in a previous post, but basically no dairy = not enough calories and I pass out. Not good.

Here’s what I will be doing (stealing shamelessly from my other post):

Vegan on Clean Monday, Great and Holy Friday, and Wednesdays and Fridays of Lent/Holy Week. I might go vegan for the whole Triduum, but that’s a long way away.

Vegetarian all other days, minus Palm Sunday, when I’ll eat some fish (we’re allowed to break the fast for the Annunciation as well, but I like the ideas of waffles better lol). Note for Roman-rite Catholics who are confused about the fish thing: Eastern Catholics consider meat to be anything with a backbone. Hence, I could technically eat shellfish, etc. but I’m allergic to shrimp and don’t have the patience to parse all of that out.

Avoiding sugar and oil when I don’t need it for cooking. We’re supposed to traditionally give up all oil but I’m doing this in baby steps.

Abstaining from coffee and alcohol

Drinking 1-2 bottles of water before every meal. While I drink the water, I’ll be saying the Jesus Prayer (lunch) and Prayer of St. Ephrem (dinner)

I’m giving up sarcasm/snark for Lent. It’s an unhealthy habit, and the first Lent I did this (2017), I had a really fulfilling Lent. I said a decade for the person/people/issue I snarked on every time I did it. It’s one of the reasons I have the Sorrowful Mysteries memorized now lol. I’ll either keep up saying a decade of the rosary or do the Prayer of St. Ephrem.

And finally...I’m giving up being Protestant for Lent! I could not be more excited to be joining the Ruthenian Byzantine Catholic Church on Holy Saturday. Please pray for me in my journey, and let me know how I can pray for you this Lent.

In the afterbuzz bit arryn mentioned that adam ilia yang and sun were all in love with blake. Slip of the tongue or actual spoiler?

I’m going with slip of the tongue. We all know she loves B/B so that’s no news coming from her, I’m pretty sure she was talking about it from a fan’s POV and even Kara didn’t really react to it, which kinda tells that it wasn’t a spoiler of any sort.

On the other hand, if it was a spoiler, then RT writers confirm themselves to be even more dumb than what they already came off as with all their ship baiting and low quality work on the recent seasons. Giving canon fuel to this ship when it’s clear that they are developing BlackSun is plain stupid. Can’t we just have a group of girls that are not IN love with each other but rather love each other as sisters? It’s 1) something you rarely see in media nowadays and 2) something different from the other teams like JN/PR and ST/RQ. It’s as if being in a team automatically means that you’ll fall in love with your partner. It’s a lame concept, not to mention that we’ve already seen it. We don’t need nor want to see it again.

If RT is going to just pander to the toxic fans like this, they’ll lose my respect permanently. But I have faith that Ar/ryn is just speaking as a fan, she doesn’t write the show, she doesn’t know. She was asked a spoily question and tried to avoid it as best as she could.

Otherwise, if Y/ang’s feelings are canon, I don’t see why they would come out and say that BM/BLB wasn’t intended to be in the soundtrack (especially by sending Ar/ryn herself), or let C/asey say that All that matters wasn’t intended as romantic either - besides, those were two songs both presumably sung from Y/ang’s POV and were about unrequited feelings. That’s all I’m going to say on the matter. To be fair I’ve been blacklisting a lot of tags, the main RWB/Y one included, because I don’t wish to be involved anymore. I am still rooting for BlackSun but to this point I don’t know how long it’ll last.
