Blazing Strike launches this summer - Gematsu

Blazing Strike will launch for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC via Steam this summer, publisher Aksys Games and developer RareBreed Makes Games announced.
A limited edition will also be available, which includes a full-color art book, a double CD soundtrack, and a set of collectible character cards.
Here is an overview of the game, via Aksys Games:
Inspired by classic arcade fighting game series from industry greats such as Capcom and SNK, the upcoming 2D fighting game from developer RareBreed Makes Games evokes the excitement and nostalgia of 2D pixel art genre pioneers while incorporating a unique games system with modern mechanics.
Blazing Strike features a four-button system with six normal attacks: light, medium and heavy punches and kicks, as well as three defense moves: block, guard and parry. A Rush Trigger enables fighters to execute fast-paced attacks and movements, but using it will slowly drain the Rush Meter, sending the character into a temporary groggy state. This allows players to execute exciting combos while having to manage the Rush Meter. The game will include three play modes: Story Mode, Arcade Mode, and VS Mode, with training, sparring, and online match via Persona AI, and online play powered by GGPO.

tumblr blackout protest: masterpost
original post proposing the blackout
current plan is:
48 hour blackout (june 30th - july 1st, PDT time zone)
see what the response is from staff (if any)
organise an (actually organised…) longer blackout.
keep going - and increasing the length - until we get the response we want
update: how did the blackout go?
current suggestions for demands:
reverse the recent image viewer update
scrap the new users 'for you' page default setting
let us turn off tumblr live indefinitely ( -> here's a response from 2 staff members about it)
increase efforts against spam / porn bots
make reporting abuse and hate speech as easy as reporting as reporting spam
let us go nuts show nuts again… for real this time ( -> there are app store/USA law issues with this one, so it's not entirely in tumblr's hands)
remove flashing ads, including not accepting blaze campaigns for posts with flashing in them
commit to improving usability and accessibility, and listening to users!
more transparency on staff working on issues raised by users ( -> staff does have a github but seems to be more dev focused than user issues focused)

Clarification of the Halloween strike guidelines
SAG-AFTRA has requested that in solidarity with the strike, we do our best not to dress as characters from struck media. This means dressing up as more general characters, such as zombies and ghouls and whatnot, or dressing as characters from books, musicals, or animated shows. THIS APPLIES TO MEMBERS AND CONTENT CREATORS ONLY.
As for non-members, please do not post costumes from struck content on social media, and especially please do not tag anyone involved in a show in any photos you might post.
This is not a trivial thing. Companies make a lot of money from Halloween costumes, and shows get a lot of marketing via social media. Furthermore, it will prove to AMPTP that the fans of the shows they create are supporting the strike. It will further chip away at the idea that fans care more about getting content than protecting actors. I promise it will not kill you to wait to post your costume until the strike is done.

blaze is a girl dying from a terminal illness who sacrifices herself to save silver. maria is shadow’s best friend who joins him in his attempt to save the future and ends up sacrificing herself to save the world.
shadow has psychokinesis. silver has roller skates.
i think shadow would need a LOT more convincing than silver to not murder sonic. silver had a moment of “is killing someone to save the world the right thing to do?” but i don’t think shadow would give a damn lmao. it’d just be a lot of maria going “shadow wAIT!! THINK ABOUT THIS FOR A SECOND!!”

Publisher Aksys Games and developer RareBreed Makes Games have delayed fighting game Blazing Strike from its previously planned fall 2022 release window to spring 2023. It will launch for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC via Steam.
“It’s gut-wrenching to admit but Blazing Strike‘s release date has been moved back to spring 2023,” RareBreed Makes Games said in a tweet. “However this delay will help polish the game to ensure the best game experience possible (maybe with cross-play), so I really hope you guys stick around a little longer.”

Here he is in Httyd 1 and in 2!!(Gotta give him a Rtte design too)His name is Pipsqueak Reidun and he's a berk viking who's parents,Gertrud and Osmund,were killed under mysterious circumstances when he was little,leaving him to raise himself because none of the adult residents wanted to take him in due to his otherness(Queerness + Neurodivergence/Mental disabilities).Him and Hiccup grew up together as best friends and him and Astrid get on good terms in the first movie and are besties too by the time the first cartoon ends!!Berk accepts him post Httyd 1 because of his association to Hiccup and proving himself as a worthy warrior and i haven't figured out how yet but he ends up becoming part Rose Fury-Rose Furys being a Night Fury variant that are pink and have vine-like patterns on their scales-after meeting and training one and naming her Cloudy Skies!!Like i said him and Hiccup are eachother's love interests and it's a slowburn,with them not getting together until Httyd 2!And since i love Astrid so fucking much,she's a lesbian in this verse who's married to Ruffnut♡Oh and the main human trio are all trans :] Pip transmasc genderfluid and bigender super femme,Hic trans man and Strid butch trans woman!!

Because at the end, Lucien and Elain happily ever after is what matters. Even if Elain screamed into her pillow while Lucien tried to fight himself via a mirror. So. Worth. It. But yeah, I will encourage whatever you’re feeling.

I think I've gotten to a good stopping point at around ~9k words. Two chapters was ambitious for all of the external plot I wanted to cover, but I think I left enough of the angst and goodness in chapter 10 that you guys will still be satisfied!
Y'all can expect an update in the coming week! 🥰 Maybe tomorrow? 9k words is a lot to edit but I'm trying to be brave about it
