New OC?? (THEY AREN’T MADE OUT OF FLESH, IT’S A DOLL)

I got to work on two absolute cute Fairyland RealFee girls in a style inspired by Brian Froud's pixies. This one is specifically the Toki sculpt in natural skin.

Wanted to draw a pretty, decked out Consort Shang Qinghua and am left with 2* feelings about it at the moment 1) need to add more shinies 2) that GBBO “Started making it, had a break down, bon apetit” thing *0.5) fuck i really need more dark colored markers The bottom one is kind of a mock up to coordinate with an idea I have for the cloak I want to make my MBJ bjd whenever I get around to it. I have some black silk I want to paint with the borealis, but of course consort!SQH would need a matching one ;) It needs some other kind of decoration but see point 2 above.

EDIT: Because i can’t believe I forgot to explain this detail: the flowers on the head piece are meant to be like the ice bells in my fic Apricity!

Being an author and a fujoshi...

Well, sometimes it's not easy. Of course I have a very ordinary and dull job so I'm tired most of the time. I don't even know if I can call myself an author since I have only one book that was published so far and the rest are online stories I upload on my blog. Anyway, I often lack inspiration or motivation to write. After work I like to watch some Japanese or Korean BL dramas. And sometimes I get inspiration from games. My latest story was inspired by Xenoblade Chronicles 2. But it wasn't about the characters or the plot but rather the mood of the game. And since all my BJDs are my OCs I feel constant urge to make up their adventures. It's like I hear their conversations in my head. It's weird but I can't help it. I also feel lucky because my dolls are just perfect shells for my characters and I'm really satisfied with them. It's easy to guess most of my dolls are boys, and most of them are bisexual. Among them there are 2 couples. Right now I'm more focused on my MSD couple, that's why I neglected my SD couple. However my inspiration is pretty capricious so I never know what I can expect from it.

im never really satisfied with how i draw him but i like this iteration more than others! i also have addisons + addispam and neo designs in the works :)

the joint blushing comes from something ive seen in doll customizing videos where they add color to certain areas to make the dolls more lively! it makes him a bit more colorful i think

This Dollmore Judith Zinna/Zenna in white skin belongs to a very dear friend of mine, who got her secondhand. They didn't want freckles for her, or as many moles, for their 1940s inspired beauty, so I gave the doll a fresh faceup. It's amazing how different dolls look depending on who paints them!
