Ian has the keyboard set up in the rec room. It's too big, otherwise he would have carried it to wherever he eventually found Skylar, much like the other birthdays. He's a little nervous, since he's less confident regarding playing piano, but he has gotten better over the past year.

When Skylar arrives, Ian dramatically shows off the keyboard. "Happy birthday, man!" he says excitedly, presenting him with his tangible present. It is a handmade box with glued paper bits, drawn and painted to look like a camera. The box opens up to a sort of accordion book with borders that look like film, with various photos of Skylar, Ali, Skylar and Ali, the twins, GSW, and other friendly crew members.

"Um, and then--your song doesn't really have lyrics at all. But I figured you might be okay with that because I did compose it! It's not written down anywhere but. Okay, here goes." And Ian goes to sit at the keyboard and plays the song from memory.

It starts off with high, quick notes, to evoke playfulness and fun energy. As it continues, though, the notes gradually become lower, the tempo slows, it decrescendos, until it reaches a point where it shifts from a major key to a minor key. At its quietest point, only a single long whole note is played. Then, the piece gradually crescendos again, the tempo picks up, the notes become higher, until the melody from the beginning has returned. Except that the minor key never shifted back to a major one. It has a dramatic and a energetic finish.
