I just started watching Handa-Kun and… wow this anime is absolutely hilarious??? But also, this poor guyy. Plus, the opening animation is so wild and amusing?! And catchy. New current favourite, complete series, not a recent release.

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly because it’s the most classic western of all time. Outlaw who still has his humanity. He might do bad sometimes but he’s good when it counts!

Black Hawk Down. Come on! War, action, adventure, trying to get back across enemy lines. This is just a great dad movie!!

Warrior. Broken man trying to reconnect with his brother and also MMA fighting. Has heart, love, family and also violence. That’s exactly the kind of movie Joel loves.

Lady Bird. Joel saw this with Sarah and cried so hard at the end he had to compose himself in the parking lot before he could drive home. Sarah and Joel bond over what an idiot Kyle is.

Joel got letterboxed so he and Sarah could check in on movies while she’s away at college. She knows when he’s dating someone because he will suddenly log 8 rom coms in a row.

was just rewatching Jack Saint and Patricia Taxxon's video on Mauler (it's called "Long Critique Is Not Deep Critique" and it's like actually so fucking good) and was so taken aback by hearing Twin Peaks music in there now that i've actually seen Twin Peaks lmao, that Laura Palmer theme is so fucking good, Angelo Badlamenti is just truly on another level, i already wanna rewatch the show now (S02 is good, y'all are just cowards).

my favorite read so far (i've read only 4 books though hehe) is The Time of the Hero (La ciudad y los perros) by Mario Vargas Llosa. the author's FIRST novel and it's so excellent 😮‍💨 makes me sick. and i should have read it years ago! for school!

Love Me Tender - The first film review and something I might revise one day. GI Blues - Elvis' first film post Army. Loving You - My personal favorite film that I reviewed so far. Girl Happy - The first film reflecting the decline in production quality. Jailhouse Rock - The most iconic Elvis film. Paradise, Hawaiian Style - Drums of the Islands alone makes it worth the watch. Clambake - I still have no idea if this movie is good or bad. Roustabout - This movie had one of the best soundtracks with the worst story which is mind boggling. Wild In The Country - This is the first movie so far that I just had no inspiration when reviewing after watching. Kissin’ Cousins - Somehow the most balanced movie of good and bad elements. Kid Galahad - An underrated Elvis movie that deserves a lot more attention. It Happened at the World's Fair - A great concept that's a nightmare to execute well. Change Of Habit - The final Elvis movie that's very inconsistent in tone and poorly attempts to take on the 1969 political climate.
