While I am currently more a biMike truther, I do also love the concept as Mike and Will as two sides of the same coin put through different experiences, one exposed before he could even ask himself what he was and one watching this happen too him and shaking in the shadows behind a girlfriend, doing whatever he can to maintain whatever barely got him by to be targeted for everything but that like Will was.

What happens when you put the same base through different events is always such a fun thing to play with. There's the jokey saying about "fonts" but really, I love the messing with that sort of nature/nurture thing in plot. They are different people, of course, but there is also an argument to be made for simply asking the question, what would have been different if they roles were reversed. How would they have responded?

is it just me or do people really exaggerate ‘discourse’ in the byler fandom? like i never see anyone say anything super weird but i see some people vagueing and being passive aggressive all the time. idk what’s up with them

I haven’t checked the byler tag in months so I actually can’t say? But there’s always been more complaining about “discourse” than actual discourse in the byler tag so you’re probably right. Although if the tag is anything like it used to be half a year ago then I’m sure there are plenty of people saying weird things lmao. Kinda impressive that there hasn’t been gayMike vs. biMike discourse yet in 2024 hahsgxhshs
