descriptions under the cut
season 14 -> raul esparza's character introduced and the return of dean winters which begins the bensidy arc. the season opens on the aftermath of cragen being framed for murder. episodes of note: manhattan vigil, secrets exhumed, poisoned motive, her negotiation.
season 22 -> covid season. return of the prodigal mr. meloni. rollisi goes canon. episodes of note: rotps, post-graduate psychopath, wolves in sheep's clothing.

Relating to that ask AU about Stabler staying and Carisi arriving earlier,
Maybe perhaps Rollins wouldn't have gotten together with Nate, cause Carisi would be her bestie whom they spent time hanging out off shifts often and not feel some attraction to her lousy sponsor, thus never breaking her sobriety. Instead she be pissed he told that other woman personal things about her and being lied to. And Carisi cheers her up by taking her to the shooting range to let out her anger, cook for her and watch bad tv shows.
Never meeting Murphy, her feelings for Carisi grows stronger and he's Jesse's biological father. Cause Rollisi were just inevitable to happen
For the Kim drama, he be her support to lean on as well.
As for Rollins sniper shooting, Carisi be stuck at her side the whole time. Stabler would be with Fin finding tooth and nail who shot her. Seeing her as a younger sister figure
Carisi comforts Amaro during his family drama, recalling how things were with his sister Teresa's failed marriage. Stabler joining the conversation about his marriage and family dramas

And just the thought of Jesse and Billie both being biologically Carisi's? Oh my heart. You're right, any universe - those two are inevitable
Carisi would 1000% not leave her side after the sniper and Fin and Stabler would be throwing over every fucking stone they could to figure out who it was.
Also Stabler being involved with those CPD crossovers would have been something I'd kill to have been able to witness. I also would have been intrigued to what Stabler/Carisi/Amaro could have been like.
Amanda was already kind of out of pocket with the whole Shelia arc - imagine if she had Stabler by her side too??? MAN oh MAN

I saw your tag rant under the Bensidy post you reblogged and all it made me think about was miaverse and how that could be a conversation they HAVE in miaverse. where brian tells her one night when they’re exhausted and mia is finally asleep that he always knew that she was married to her job, that she was never gonna love him as much but he knows she’ll love mia more and i want to eat GLASS thinking about it
ONE DAY one day I am gonna get to miaverse and it's gonna KILL US ALL bc one of my favorite things about miaverse - apart from Elliot coming back and finding out Olivia has two kids with Brian Cassidy and losing his damn mind and Mia making him work to make her like him - is the way it shapes the Cassidy/Liv relationship. Bc what they have is profound, but doomed; he tells her that he knows she's never gonna bare her heart to him but he also tells her that she's the only one who ever saw any good in him and he can't bear to lose that. And the kids, Jesus, they look at him like he's a superhero, and he can't let them down, either, now he's got three people who look at him and see something good, but he still knows Olivia won't love him, not the way he wants her to. And he wanted kids in s1 and by s15 he's "relieved" she's not pregnant; is that bc he actually changed his mind and doesn't want a baby or is that bc somewhere along the way he convinced himself he wasn't good enough to be a father? And now he is. And he knows he's never gonna be Olivia's soulmate but the first time he sees her holding their baby girl he also knows, down to his bones, that she will love little Amelia Benson Cassidy with every piece of herself, fiercely, ferociously, and he will not ever receive that love but he can quietly bear witness to it and I'm rambling but I just. Miaverse.

My NOTP: Okay so there’s actually not a lot that I won’t read. I actually kinda love Bensler but rarely write it bc IDK how to realistically write Elliot. I didn’t think I’d like AEO but I read some fantastic fic that changed me on a molecular level and now I kinda love it. I love Cabenson, Cabenovak, Calex, Calvak, Novelly, Calinda, whatever. Any of the WLW ships make me happy.
For some reason I cannot view Barba as anything other than a gay man, probably bc I read fics of him as gay before watching the show so I fully believed he was canonically gay for a long time, but I’ll still read and enjoy Barson and Barhoun for the hell of it, even if they’re completely platonic in my brain. (Rafael and Rita are my ultimate platonic soulmates ship I love them)
Ummmm back to the question I really don’t like Bensidy I think. I tried reading Finlivia once and that freaked me out because they are siblings. I also never watched the canon Tucker/Liv arc so I don’t quite see the appeal in that but if I watched it I’d probably like it more. Also not a fan of Benisi and Benmaro but I rarely see those.
I found some Cragen/Alex fic once and stared at that tag in horror for so long that I didn’t even read it so I can’t judge it but that made me unhappy. Not to yuck anyone’s yum, but…
Sorry to go off on a tangent. Had to think a lot to answer this one.

At this point, I don’t actually care who Olivia ends up with. Be that Rafa, Brian, Elliot, Trevor, Peter or some unknown character that may show up in the future. As long as she’s happy getting the good loving she deserves. That’s all I’m here for.
Sure, having EO endgame will be a fucking dream come true. But I don’t want it if it’s at her emotional expense (fucking Elliot being a dumbass and getting involved— and SLEEPING with other people? Whilst pushing her her away, telling her that what goes on in his life is none of her business? Fuck that very much). She’s suffered enough. I’m with her. I want HER happy.
Side note, I’m in absolute awe of Mariska, she’s a fantastic human and phenomenal actress. It’s no secret why she has chemistry with every male character that Olivia comes across (this dates back to Porter, I remember shipping them so hard. Broke my heart really that he lied to her back in season 11).

So I watched the last of Cassidy's episodes last night. Wanted to see the context in which he says: you're the love of my life. And so far we have two men, who the love of their life is Olivia.
Olivia's reaction to Cassidy saying this is... Like are you serious? We broke up like four years ago. She's so confused. It's a little sad because imagine that someone is the love of your life but you aren't theirs. Like he knew that she wasn't going to unload on him emotionally because she never did even though he was there for her during the worst period in her life. I never thought they were right for each other, so her being the love of his life is kinda surprising. Her reaction is also a bit like...you investigated me for child abuse and also we have been broken up for years at this point.

Hey Leah, just curious since you mentioned writing miaverse, will it be a bensidy fic?
It won't be Bensidy endgame. They'll have broken up before Mia was even born but they're still co-parenting (and occasionally fucking). I haven't decided if I'm gonna pick it up at rotps or do a few intro chapters to fill in where Mia came from and what their family unit looks like before El gets dropped in there. Maybe mix in some flashbacks so we get that backstory without having to make it the focus in the beginning. We'll see when I get there. But it'll be eo endgame for sure
