Earlier today at my grandparents' house my oldest cousin just brought her toddler son to play and he immediatly threw away his GT Vegeta toy to play with his MCU dolls
For Shadow's characterization - I feel it's important to note that Rise of Lyric came out in 2014, and the Boom TV show was also airing around that time. I quite liked how he was characterized in Forces in 2017, but to many fans, people saw his Boom characterization as the new direction or 'reset' on his character that Sega wanted to push, especially since he hadn't been in a main-series game for quite a while before that.
See, that makes more sense. It's like a case of object permanence haha
It's just odd seeing anyone get into a tizzy over "Bejita Shadow" when, if you only play the mainline games, this problem doesn't really exist. It was so confusing for a long time whenever this discussion came up in criticizing Game Shadow overall and conflating Boom's short-comings with him.
There are issues with the modern game's writing, but making Shadow like "Vegeta' isn't one of them. Western adaptations replacing collective interpretations of the cast members until everyone mistakes it for the main series strikes again. :S
