Probably everyone who ships KimiYoi has seen this pic (it's on their wiki page):
But I was desperate for some context and ended up finding this promo vid: PS Vita「終わりのセラフ 運命の始まり」 第2弾PV
Yoichi: Okay, smile!
Kimizuki: Stop, Yoichi, you don't have to take one of me!
They're so cute 🥺

The hardest part about dating a zombie mutant is making them behave so you both don't get killed by other humans that are unaware some zombies are actually friendly.
Destiny tries hard but Zeke tries harder and refuses to behave without some compensation in return.
For some short story context, Zeke is a mutant zombie who isn't quite alive but isn't quite dead either and Destiny is a human.
They are trying to survive in a post apocalypse world. It's kinda like an alternate timeline to my normal universe…but zombies happened at some point.

The Vanguard
The first of three D2 acrylic charm designs! I will be making these semi-transparent 2.5 inch charms and limited stock since I’m not sure if there’s anyone else interested in these as well.
My current impressions of the three below! (Spoiler: I like all of them.)
When I first played, I did not care for Zavala or Ikora. They both seemed like fairly boring and serious people who gave me objective instructions. I was not even aware of Cayde’s existence since I first started playing Sept 2022. 200 hrs and much offline lore reading later, I still haven’t read everything regarding these three but I am so much more invested in them now.
When I went back to play Season of the Haunted, I got to learn so much more about Zavala. That felt like my first real impression and crack into who Zavala really was beyond the stoic facade. Lance Reddick delivered such an emotional performance!! I really do need to get to his lore books with Safi and every other lore pertaining to him. I especially love that his faith in the Traveller has waned so much, but he is still holding on for the people he actually knows and cares about. I personally did not connect with “protect the traveller at all costs” as a motive. So, I enjoyed seeing a much more relatable, down to earth, and selfish conclusion to Zavala’s true motivations to keep marching on.
I was a bit more interested in Ikora because I like Mara Junot’s performance for Evelynn in LOL and she was the first person I interacted with when I came into the WQ campaign. I didn’t get truly invested in her until I read the Witch Queen Collector’s Edition lore though (which was last night lol). I was a fan of Seth Dickinson’s books already so seeing his writing again is always welcome. Truly the lore did NOT disappoint. Her manic doubts, conversation with Chalco, banter with Zavala, ruminating about Eris, Mara, and Savathun, and the general themes behind lies, truths, and secrets. She was so vulnerable and introspective! I love that!!! When she explained why she always ask the guardian to meditate, I was very pleasantly surprised that there was an actual personal reason as to why she did that. Every time I mediate for new aspects now, I think about how she wants us to reflect on our past actions. After reading that, it made me feel more proud of choosing warlock as my first and main class even though I initially chose it on a whim and for gameplay reasons.
Of the three, I still know Cayde-6 the least. Since he’s dead and I haven’t actually interacted with him in-game (very sad about Forsaken being in the vault), I haven’t felt particularly motivated to get to know him for who he is. I like the snippets I get about his meaningful interpersonal relationships with the others so I’m sure I’ll like him. Plus, Nathan Fillion and the writing team do a fantastic job of making him charismatic and infectiously cheerful. The first time I heard his voice in old strikes, I was a little confused as to who this guy was but I also definitely had a smile on my face. He really does stand out from Zavala and Ikora in his own way.
I cannot wait to learn more about them all! If only I wasn’t so busy with everything else sigh

i never got around to sharing this photo from my masters graduation; i exhibited a few of my mass effect and destiny pieces to go alongside my research on neurodivergence and transformative works <3 (there was also a little plinth with some of my weaving and handpainted dessert plates but nothing exciting enough to share tbh)
also sharing these because i use this gorgeous warm, matte art paper for my prints and i am always so in love with how much better my art looks printed on it, though the photos do not do this baber justice . . .

I love Destiny 2's story. I'm so glad I've gotten to experience as much of Eris Morn's arc as I have. The seasonal content in this game truly is great.
"So you'd agree that making it temporarily available helps to heighten the story by making it transient and epheme--"
Absolutely not; it's one of the dumbest fucking business models I know of, and the fact that no new player will be able to see this content in a year, let alone anything that's gone before it, makes me want to write an angry Tumblr post or something.

Moving in was more difficult than Azra had thought it would be. The gear she usually kept at Camp fit into her vault easily enough, sure. It was the cleaning out that was the hard part. She walked into Cayde's room and it was messy. There were cards and papers and datapads everywhere. She got rid of the old reports without a second thought, consolidated what files she could, but the personal effects…
She couldn't bring herself to throw them out just yet. They were organized into boxes and shoved in the back of the closet. Even after vacuuming and scrubbing and changing the sheets, the room still smelled like him.

rotating something in my brain rn but like
i think i might let my lil guardians retire once final shape is over
(and possibly move on with them) (no spoilers here just a long post)
like unless bungo pulls something insanely good or interesting out of their ass I'm probably going to put the end of their story there.
like d2 will probably go on and on until it runs itself aground like a ship on a sandbar (because it's not profitable for bungo to stop updating the game weather or not it'd be better for the story if they laid the game to rest.) and i've seen what happens when a story goes on longer than it should.
so i suppose you could say I'm putting my foot down wrt my ocs. whatever happens, the end of the light and darkness saga will be the end of their tales as well.
they've done plenty and seen plenty and i think it'd be fitting if they were finally allowed to rest, to go home, to figure out what they're going to do with themselves now that their greatest threats are vanquished. If all you've ever known for the past ten or so years has been world ending threat after world ending threat, what do you do now that there aren't any more of them? What did it cost you to win and how do you deal with that?
Whatever New Big Bad bungie comes up with probably won't be as interesting to me as the answers to those questions. So I'll probably just make some canon divergent "postcanon" oc stuff and dip. maybe go revisit some of the old lore, maybe check in from time to time to see what new unhinged nonsense the canon narrative is up to. idk
i just know i can't keep going on forever. all stories need an ending, and it is far better to plan for it and end with grace than to have to rush because you're running out of profits.
I think I'd prefer to end with grace, let the corporation crash and burn if it so desires, my little guys are mine, and so i intend to give them the ending they deserve.
