Pass It Along is our Giving Tap recipient for November! They are a 501c3 non-profit organization founded in 2001 in Sparta, NJ and their mission is to build confident, compassionate, and resilient teenagers through self-discovery, leadership and volunteerism. Throughout the year, they provide free after school leadership, self-discovery, and service-learning programs at their Youth Center located at the Shoppes at Lafayette. They deliver in-school social-emotional learning workshops, and they organize community service projects and opportunities with non-profit organizations throughout Sussex, Morris, and Warren Counties. Pass It Along also runs a number of community events, such as the Pass it Along Triathlon, Pass It Along Day, the Scholar Athlete Program, Family Volunteer Day, and much more! 🍻 Krogh's will donate $1.00 from every draft sold on the Giving Tap during the month of November to Pass It Along, and the proceeds will help to create new leadership and service-learning opportunities, provide scholarships to graduating high school seniors, and keep programs free to participants. Charette Exhibition

I think that participating in the Charrette for my school was a great opportunity to expand my works and actually speak on a topic that is personal to me. I chose to create my project on “Being biracial or multi-racial in a racial polarizing society”. With this I wanted to highlight that being biracial in this time has cause a lot of self-esteem issues with biracial and multi-racial individuals. I chose to speak on racial imposter syndrome. As a biracial woman of white and black I have felt this before. Not feeling like I fit with either of my races simply by the fact I wasn’t “fully” one race. I wanted to create an awareness conceptual poster that allowed others who may be victim of the same circumstances that they are not alone. I chose to use neutral colors and a bold typeface with an illustration. Nothing to crazy but also getting the point across.

It took YEARS to get a diagnosis, and now that I have one, I can start taking care of myself - the right way. Both physically and mentally. @repost 🌟 Slaap zacht lieve vriend 🌟 Onzichtbaar voor velen liep hij door de straten, op zoek naar eten, een plekje om te schuilen, misschien ook wel een thuis… 😢 Ooit moet hij van iemand geweest zijn, iemand die niet voor hem zorgde want Pedro was niet gecastreerd of gechipt… onzichtbaar ging hij verder 🥺 Niemand die hem opmerkte, niemand die hulp inschakelde, niemand die hem wou. Tot hij volledig uitgeput en moederziel alleen onder dat zeil lag te sterven. Te laat… Onze fantastische dierenartsen, en het mag gezegd, ze hebben een hart van goud, zetten een heel weekend alles op alles om hem er niet alleen bovenop te krijgen maar ook om hem die warmte te laten voelen waar hij al die jaren naar op zoek was. 💖 Een knuffel, lieve woordjes, wat lekker eten… hetgeen ons troost bied in dit droevige verhaal, Pedro heeft liefde gekend, er is voor hem gevochten en hij is niet moederziel alleen onder dat klamme zeil gestorven. 🙏 Laat Pedro zijn verhaal hier niet eindigen, laat het mensen wakker maken en beter doen. Kijk niet de andere kant op, bied hulp, adopteer, doneer, word opvanggezin voor de vele Pedro’s die nog steeds buiten rondlopen. 🙏 Lieve Pedro, konden we maar… konden we de tijd maar terugdraaien en je iets vroeger vinden, dan lag je daar nu zeker en vast in een warme nest.
