Beastars Characters and their Unpopular Opinions: Shishigumi Addition!
Ibuki: Some people really shouldn’t have kids.
Free: Nobody cares about your relationship status unless you’re cheating on your current partner.
Dolph: Not everyone is going to like you and that’s ok because you don’t have to like them either.
Sabu: Meat tastes better when it came from your enemy.
Miguel: Tv shows and movies will never be as good as the books they’re based on.
Dope: Disney is officially a toilet we flush money down for the sake of nostalgia and getting shitty remakes in return. Pun intended!
Agata: Romance and intimacy are not the same thing.
Hino: Dyed or colored hair is much cooler than regular hair.
Jinma: Men can be ‘loose’ and ‘slutty’ too and usually more often than women are but no one wants to admit it.

Shishigumi + Chief Lion with a friendly Sheep S/O
In general, all the lions are gonna be very protective over you. You’re a beautiful small animal that’s friendly to almost everybody. They know the danger that lurks out there and they’re not letting anyone or thing hurt you or take advantage of you.
Chief lion
• Always armed when he’s with you, doesn’t wanna risk anything happening, but let's be honest, he doesn’t need a weapon to get the point across
• If he’s not present with you, he sends one of the other members to watch you
• Loves leaving his scent, knowing you won’t stop your kind tendencies, he might as well let them smell the danger that lurks if anyone gets any ideas with you
Ibuki
• Always worried about you getting yourself into trouble with the wrong animal, so whenever he has time he spends it with you (but when he’s away he sends someone to watch you too)
• Tries to convince you to move to a place closer to the hideout in case an emergency comes up
• Very gentle with you and loves your kindness, he appreciates how you can see the good in people even though he’s exposed you to many dark things he deals with at work
Free
• Jealous and protective king here. He only wants your attention, but your kindness to everyone makes him a little more jealous than he likes to admit.
• Loves how warm your coat gets, he’s always touching it somehow or tries to style it for you
• Won’t hesitate to rip some poor animal's throat if he feels that your kindness is being taken advantage of
Dolph
• Confused as to why you wanted him. You two look like polar opposites. Big serious lion and small friendly sheep. It works out though, he’s very grateful for being looked at in a different light
• Cuddle monster. He loves feeling your coat up against him and the warmth you give. It’s also a great excuse for him to mark you.
• He always sends Agata to watch you if he can’t be near you, he would like for the two of you to get along so you can be at the hideout more often to hang with either him or Agata
Agata
• Sweetheart loves holding your tiny hands, it adds more that behind that hand there’s a sweet animal that he was able to score
• Since he’s still young and a bit naive, your kindness is a breath of fresh air for him, he’s much more relaxed around you. But he does worry that you might get taken advantage of by others
• Loves to lay his head on your thighs, apart from being warm, your soft coat adds a little more umph to it. Wear shorts and he’ll be all over you and your legs.
Miguel
• Was a little scared that you even liked him, he’s arguably the biggest and strongest of the gang. Being with a sheep wasn’t exactly what he pictured, but he loves you very much.
• Both of you are heat radiators in your own way, sleeping might be a little complicated. But Miguel likes pulling you on top of him so that both of you are chest to chest, he loves falling asleep looking at your face
• You can bet no one's gonna mess with you once they see who your dating, and Miguel makes it very clear to everyone that stares
Sabu
• Mini mohawk with your coat, he likes styling it in funny ways or just to match with him. The rest of the Shishigumi were in awe when they walked in on him doing your hair
• When he gets sleepy, he starts doing biscuits on your stomach or wherever he has his hands on. He’s tired and he just wants to relax after a long day.
• He’s skinny, so he loves when you two cuddle and he gets to be near your warm coat. Jokes he’ll make a jacket out of your sheddings (he would)
Jinma
• If your coat gets a little long or if you shed a lot, he puts all of that on his head to pretend he has a mane to be silly
• Often likes to place his hands on the top of your head, it's fluffy and near the face he loves. He might even start making biscuits if he’s distracted
• He appreciates how kind you can be and is one of the many aspects he really loves about you. But he’s not scared to pull a few strings to destroy someone's life if anyone chooses to take advantage of your kindness
Dope
• He appreciates your kindness and sympathizes with you a lot. As the expert of negotiations he often has to be nice to even the most horrible people
• Swoons you pretty quickly, he couldn’t pass up your genuineness. He keeps you around the hideout a lot
Hino
• Might try to get your help with certain things he does, it's an excuse to keep you around more and sometimes he does need the extra help when talking with others
• Does not care when, who or what happens. He’s gonna lay on you in some way when you're together and hope he gets some sleep. All of the Shishigumi have found you crushed under your sleepy lion
• Likes going out and choosing things to go with your coat (like Sheila and Peach) spoils you a bunch b/c your coat matches a lot of things
• He’s gonna make a blanket out of you, so you better start saving your sheds

It feels like I haven't had an ask about the lion yakuza for a little while pspsp
Since Christmas is gone, I thought that I’d focus on the "New Year’s" part of the ask instead.

general headcanons
Another year past means another year survived.
And survival is always worth celebrating.
Though some lions are more low-key about it, they all celebrate New Year’s Eve in their own ways.
On a whole, New Year’s Eve is seen as a more reflective time of year — you look back at the year gone and think on what you can do to make the upcoming year better for yourself.
Ibuki
He arranges a little get-together (not a party. It's an important distinction, to Ibuki) for the gang's inner circle.
Ibuki claims that it's to discuss the group’s upcoming criminal activities, but in truth ... he wants to spend the last day of the year with the gang's inner circle.
Life is never guaranteed, so it's best to appreciate your comrades when they are still with you.
When the get-together ends, expect to find him smoking on the shishigumi mansion’s roof.
He can't help but get all introspective come the end of the year.
Free
If he doesn't spend New Year's higher than a kite, or emptying out Dolph’s liquor collection, then Free would go for a ride on his motorcycle.
The roads will be mostly clear, so he can go as fast as he wants, and really feel the wind in his mane.
Who knows? He might be able to convince Agata to go drag racing with him.
Dolph + Agata
Dolph spends New Year’s Day much as he would any other day, and really planned to do the same this year.
But then Agata mentioned wanting to go see the fireworks, and Dolph found himself being dragged along.
Hino
He sleeps through Old Year’s Night, but wakes up bright and early January 1st.
He wanted to sleep in, but he would've liked to have seen the fireworks, still.
To make up for it, he watches the news reports of the event, all while promising himself that he’ll see the fireworks next year (repeat ad nauseum).
Dope + Miguel + Jinma
I think it would be really sweet if this little trio made a night out of New Year’s.
After Ibuki’s little shindig, these three would hit up the meat markets — something something “New Year’s barbecue”.
If they don't host a barbecue, they’ll be found clubbing (Miguel’s suggestion).
Sabu
New Year's isn't anything special for him.
He treats it like any other day — the most celebration you’ll get out of him is him helping Ibuki set up for the get-together.
Sabu might splurge on something nice for himself, but it’ll probably be related to the gang in some way: a fancy (yet reasonably priced) suit, some new shoes ...

He would be very careful with you and tend to your every need.
If you every have cravings for any food he'll be sure to buy it right away.
If you ever feel the baby moving he'll always put his head or hand to your stomach.
Whenever you go out he'll always bring a gun for protection. He doesn't want anything to happen to you or your baby to come.
Free
He would be very tentative to your needs and try to support you in any way he can. He'd also be very physically affectionate.
When you first start developing a bump he most definitely will tease you a bit.
If course if you tell him it bothers you he'll stop with out question.
He'll try his best to cook you meals on the daily and when he can't he'll go out to get some of your favorite take out food.
Dolph
Dolph would be very tender and careful with you.
He's a bit afraid that you might over exert yourself doing something while he's at work and hurt yourself.
Once you two talk about it he'll a lot less concerned about you hurting yourself.
He would definitely cook for you every night no matter how tired he may be.
Agata
He would try his best to care for you and your needs but he won't be able to do everything.
Because he's so young he doesn't always know what you need.
Even though he doesn't always know what you need if you ask him for something he'll do it to perfection .
He would 100% kiss your baby bump and try to listen for a heartbeat all the time.
He'll cook for you every night but it might not always be the best but at least he tries.
Miguel
Like Free He would be very affectionate and care for your every need.
I could see him giving your baby bump lots of kisses.
He'd probably try to get out of work to be with you once and a while.
He would definitely cook for you most of the time and when he did it was great.
Sabu
I think he wouldn't be too concerned about you huring yourself but he would want you to take it easy
He'd definitely do a lot of cleaning around the place.
He's probably ask you if you want to go out for a walk or get a coffee here and their.
He'll definitely cook for you but you might have to give him some pointers and help him out. ( He's not a bad cook he just need guidance)
Jinma
He would definitely take care of you and he would definitely want to to fun little baby things with you
I feel like he would definitely want to go baby shopping and find cute little clothing.
He would definitely become a lot more affectionate with you too
Jinma would cook for you when he could and it would usually be pretty good.
Dope
Dope would take your pregnancy very seriously.
I think if you ever went out on your own he would have one of the other lions watch you just to be sure you're safe.
I think would he'd also not want you doing a lot of work and try to convince you to take some time off.
An amazing cook who would always make something for you when you ask.
Hino
Will want you to take time off for you and the baby to come.
Like Sabu he'll definitely clean a lot but I also think he would try to get flowers for you every once and a while.
I think he'd also take as much time off of work as he can for you.
If you guys are ever just sitting together he'll rest his hand on your baby bump.
He would definitely cook every day and it would tast exceptional. You can't tell me this man doesn't have amazing cooking skills.

When you assure him that yes, you're sure, Ibuki's eyes get watery
Ibuki is so happy, he can't even speak. Sure, he's also very worried given his line of work, but he can think about that later
He's going to be a father and have a real family, a family that loves and accepts him
What more could he ask for?
So happy he's in tears
Free
Terrified. Full stop, he freezes and feels a wave of cold wash over him
He's not going to take it well. He's not built to be a father (according to him) and hearing you say that is way more terrifying than anything he's had to face in the gang
He says you're wrong, and that you're lying. He's not trying to hurt you, but he's panicking and doesn't know how to take it.
It's best to leave him alone for a while, while he comes to terms with it.
He WILL come around, and get excited, but it'll take a bit of time
Dolph
He pauses whatever he's doing, and looks at you
For once, he's stunned and unsure.
"You wanna keep it?"
He's not celebrating until he knows for sure what you want and what you're comfortable with

Sabu has a killer intuition, and was just waiting for you to tell him yourself.
He already has baby books for you to read and a doctor's card picked out he heard was good.

Freezes, then he grins
Miguel is the one who will pick you up, spin you around while laughing
He's a bit nervous because of being a gangster, but he's ready to protect you and your future child with his life.
Expect him to cook lots of healthy meals for the three of you
Hino
Hino is actually very nervous about it.
Hino...doesn't share well, and having anything that threatens the attention you give him makes him upset
Him potentially being a father is sort of the second thing he thinks about
Hino is a bit slow to come around, but he will
Chief Lion
"...Why did it take you so long to tell me? I found out last week"
Is he happy? Is he upset? He's so stoic, it's hard to tell
How did he find out anyway?
Turns out, Chief already has a doctor set up and hands you a credit card for "any essentials you may need"
While he's not outwardly excited, he's not against it.
Side note: Once you get an ultrasound, all the emotions will come to a head and he will be OVER PROTECTIVE and overbearing.
If he was scary before, he's terrifying now to anyone who dares to give you a look.
It's safer if they don't look at you tbh

On the way to a routine job, Free makes a very good point.
At this point, Reiya has been completely accepted into the shishigumi. Her and Free have a very notable dynamic which mostly consists of him teasing and messing with her. It uh...gets a little spicy sometimes.

Hello, I really like your HCs and I would like to say for the Gumi's that smoke I would replace their cigars with, non-harmful, herbal replacements, how would they react if they noticed at all. It's all in good health :)
Omggg this is such a good idea I love it
They would all for sure notice. Imagine if you went to smoke a cigarette and then you just huff in some herbs
THEYRE GROUCHY. I feel like dolph is the worst, even more than free. Free can do crazy things to combat cravings but Dolph, he gets mad
I think Miguel, Agata, Hino, and Jinma would have it easiest getting off. Miguel never really smoked in the first place (worried about how it would hurt his body), Agata just doesn't like it, Hino never did it for the smell, and Jinma just... Doesn't strike me as a smoker? His reasons are similar to all of them combined I would say.
The rest (Dope, Free, Dolph, and Sabu) are grouchy as hell. I included dope cus I feel like he picked up a bad habit of smoking to deal with stress. Dolph picked it up seeing others do it and now he just can't put it down, Sabus came with age, and Free... He does anything. Jk, his was also with being in a gang
I forgot ibuki 😳he would be a mixed bag... He knows it's for his health so he would be willing but still grouchy about it. He would be annoyed faster but you would never be able to tell
Miguel for sure takes this as an opportunity to get their minds in other places, especially working out
I think rather than going cold turkey they would probably have some type of mixed ones at first and then slowly ease off, eventually they'll forget it but it will be hard cus cats are just so stubborn

For the others:
Ibuki - Yes, definitely.
Free - Probably not, @couldyouspeakmyname can have that kiss.
Dope - Yes, he looks like quite a gentle kisser.
Dolph - Debatable, it would depend on the mood. He looks like quite the commanding type, so maybe if I was in the mood for that type of kiss?
Miguel - No, sorry Miguel.
Sabu - Maybe? He does have that bad boy look going for him. But then I don't think he ever takes off that bandana, so that'd make kissing tough.
Jinma - Looks very polite, but not my type, so no.
Hino - Bit of an air of mystery to him, so I probably would at least once, just to see how it felt.

Poly! Shishigumi Headcanons + Chief Lion
Whether you worked in the mansion or joined their ranks, you would have to be close to where they are in some way, otherwise, you would’ve gotten killed. One by one they fell for you and it was evident among them since you were mentioned in some way in conversation. Before the established relationship among you all, each would try and woo you in some way, whether it was flirting or small gifts from them. They were all extremely sweet to you and always tried to have you at group dinners with you.
Eventually, none of them could deny their feelings for you or hide them from one another. They called a meeting and came out with a plan, and all of them agreed to be in a relationship with you and each other. At the next dinner that was held, this plan was proposed to you (in addition to a confession from all of them to you), which you accepted.
• There are established days where all of you guys meet up to have a big group date. It could be a movie night at the mansion, renting a nice restaurant to have a peaceful dinner, and beach outings. (excuse for them to see you half-naked if you so choose)
• Be prepared when your birthday or anniversary comes up for you, each of them will get you a heartfelt gift and celebrate with a nice party. The same thing goes around for them, each of them and you celebrate a member's birthday to make everyone happy and appreciated.
• Just like there are established group dates, there are also separate dates that you all have with one another. Each of you is paired up each week so no one is alone or feels left out and so each lion is able to enjoy a one-on-one date with you.
• Although the lions would like to have a child with you, they agreed to adopt a little lion cub instead of getting you pregnant since there would be issues with jealousy. Each of them serves your baby as a different father figure, there’s fun dad Free, and patient dad Sabu. So the cub will have a different spectrum of extremely supportive powerful father figures.
• Search up “lion pile”. That is what happens if they all have too much to drink and want to sleep, each of them makes sure you’re comfortable and safe, and you get endless cuddles and heating.

Which of the Shishigumi do you feel would be the best kisser?
I have never thought of this before, but my money’s on either Miguel or Dope.
The rest are either inexperienced (Agata), don't particularly care for kissing and lean moreso towards just sex (Free, Chief Lion), or are perfectly average (Ibuki, Dolph, Sabu, Jinma, and the others).

How would the Shishigumi react to meeting thier significant others family for the holidays? Well might as well write a headcanon about it! ( I also included Louis) Enjoy!
Meeting your family for the holidays
Ibuki
Just thinking about meeting your family makes him nervous.
He'll probably bring a gift for your parents as to make a good first impression.
Hell definitely dress nicely for the occasion and will clip his nails as short as possible.
When you get their he's very tense and nervous and trys to hide it.
Once he starts talking with your family he becomes much more calm and happy.
You're family will be all over him and ask many questions that you might have to help Ibuki with.
You might have to remind him of everyone's names and who people are too.
Free
He's very nervous, and trys his hardest to avoid going entirely.
Hell try making excuses like, "I'm not feeling great babe" or "I've got a work thing tonight".
Once you convince him to go he'll try to dress nicely but you might have to help him out a bit.
When you arrive Free's much more nervous than before but your family will be very welcoming of him.
He'll be very talkative and your family will love him almost as much as you do.
He quickly becomes the star of the show.
Dolph
He isn't nervous about meeting your family but he definitely is thinking about it a lot.
He doesn't want to mess this up because your so important to him.
He'll probably bring a bottle of wine for the dinner (preferably red wine).
Some of his family may ask about his scar wh ih can make him feel a bit self conscious.
You might have to help him deflect there questions.
Agata
He's nervous with out a doubt and has a hard time hiding it from you.
He'll over think a lot so you'll definitely have to reassure him He'll be okay.
Once you get their he's still very nervous and when he starts talking to your family he's still a bit nervous.
You might have to do a little more talking for him than when your family asks questions.
Miguel
He tries to not stress himself or you out when getting ready to meet your family by not thinking about it too much.
Like most lions he prides himself on his mane and makes it very nice for the dinner
When you get their Miguel introduces himself to everyone.
The more he talks to your family the more he gets nervous but is very good at hiding it.
During th dinner he might be shaking his foot due to his nerves.
You might have to take him out for a bit of a break here and there.
Sabu
He's quite nervous about meeting g your family mainly due to his bandana.
He tries his best to remember everyone's names before getting to your family's place.
When you do arrive you Sabu tries to talk a lot with your family to get to know them.
He does get a few questions from your family about his bandana to which he tries his best to avoid.
If your family member is a bit pushy about the bandana you might have to step in.
Jinma
He's more excited than nervous when thinking about meeting your family.
He decides to bring gifts for your family as to show that he cares about this very much.
He doesn't really have any reason to be nervous.
When you get their Jinma tries to at least talk to everyone their once or twice.
He also helps set up the table.
Dope
He tries to keep his feelings of nervousness under control and is pretty successful.
He does talk to you about these feelings and confronts them head on with you.
When you arrive at your family's place Dope tries to help your family with the dinner
Whether its cooking, cleaning, setting up the table, he would help with anything.
Like Sabu He does get a lot of questions about his scar but is able to easily deflect them.
Hino
Unlike most of the Shishigumi hes not nervous at all.
He makes himself as presentable as possible which doesn't take him very long due to his already great looks.
When you get their your family will be astonished by his looks.
Because he uses his social skills so much for work your family will love him instantly.
Your family will definitely want to take as many photos of him as they can.
They'll definitely compare Hinos looks to celebritys.
Louis
He be a bit nervous but he'll be able to deal with it much better than others.
Like Ibuki he'll bring a gift for your family and expect it to be quite fancy.
Because of his well known status your family will be all over him and ask many questions.
He'll be very polite and courteous when talking with your family.
He'll really enjoy meeting your family and even tell you so.
