One of my favorite annual events in my old neighborhood* is happening today. In its honor, throwback to Battle for the Eagle 2017. (And throwback to when all my videos were 10 seconds long.) Always loved sitting on the steps under the Monument and watching this.
You know how there's usually a dance to fuse? I feel like when they where first getting to know each other shadowpeach had to go through a full routine (you choose the dance but I'm imagining the monkeys to be widly opposites in style) and then all they had to do was hold hands and think about fusing. And later later they don't dance, they fight and claw
imagining them tumbling with claws and fangs and ending up fused, only for that poor fusion to be confused about why they're always covered in cuts and bruises whenever they come into existence T_T
maq's style would definitely be something classical and elegant, maybe involving like... water sleeves the way you'd see them in chinese opera (altho the tang dynasty from when JTTW takes place proceeds the ming dynasty, the origin of water sleeves, by hundreds and hundreds of years... lol)
and then u got wukong over here breakdancing like the sims cat
My Old School Brothers from the (old) Cape Town Chapters of the Universal Zulu Nation have come together as the WCA (Western Cape All-Stars) to host BBoy/BGirl Battles in what was known as the Mecca of South African if not African Hip Hop during the 80's and 90's, Mitchell's Plain. These individuals have picked up the mantle years after our RSA UZN Chapters faded into HipHopstory and are giving back. The event is on the 1st of July 2023, doors open at 10am and the event blasts off at 12pm at the Westridge Civic Centre in Mitchell's Plain. Peace, Love, Unity, Respect, Equality and Justice and above all, good clean Having Fun. ZULU FORIVER.
