I think this is the missing fan art from Chapter 25 of my Mario fanfic? Kinda browsed my files quickly and this was under a gift folder.
The artist was previously known as "solublix" on Twitter, but they left, so now I'm not sure if this is the right one or not.
If anyone happens to know about them or if I've got the wrong artist, would you mind updating me? I'd like to put this in the fanfic if it was art for the story, but if it's not (or if I have the artist wrong), then I'll need to re-credit this and try again.
This won't appear in the story unless I can confirm it as art for the fanfic, but I'll keep this post for the time being, in case that artist returns or this is discovered elsewhere.
Oh, I'll also take this down entirely if the artist would prefer that as well! It's a nice piece, but if they'd rather not be online anymore and want all of their work removed, I can do that too.
(Obviously, not my art, since I can't draw, lmao)
UPDATE: The first pic is a gift art from @batidoflan that they gifted to me! And I'm pretty much a dumb one lol
Not the missing art/artist, but, that's ok! It's a lovely piece that I can look at again.
UPDATE 2: I have no idea what art I've found now, and it's in a folder labeled for ENY, so now I'm more confused with where it goes...or if it's even meant for the fanfic? (I did try reverse image search, and that doesn't even show Mario in the results, lol)

With the Super Mario Bro’s Movie coming out later this year, I wanted 2 draw my Favourite Characters from the Fandom.
💚Luigi & Yoshi🦖
I drew Luigi holding Baby Yoshi, inspired by the episode “Mama Luigi” from the 90’s TV series, it was my favourite episode! I just love how Yoshi thought that Luigi was his Mama (Luigi has always been Mama Luigi 2 Yoshi & no one can change my mind)

Ok, so like, Luigi/Tatanga...has lots of potential:
Fun because it has that “princess enemy” character become a boyfriend
Luigi being so deathly afraid of ghosts that he seeks security from space
Tatanga going from the little alien guy to super buff is an amusing montage that we don’t know how much we need (bonus points if he cheats)
Double bonus points if it’s actually a fake body and Tatanga remains small, but Luigi loves him either way
Considering that Tatanga helps Wario cause trouble, that means he’s not above at least working with humans, so he’d take Luigi’s request seriously
Also, taking into further consideration that Tatanga hasn’t been a threat since the Game Boy days means that he could actually want a life that isn’t about conquest, so he might be down to be Luigi’s boyfriend, and we have nothing that goes against it
Come on, why wouldn’t you want to see an older character revived? Look at how great Pauline turned out! She makes a good girlfriend for Peach now, so think of the possibilities...!
Doesn’t anyone want to see the romantic sequence where Tatanga takes Luigi on a ride around the planet in his space ship? Of course you do!
Reminder that Tatanga conquered multiple unique looking kingdoms of Sarasaland, so he technically did the Odyssey way before Bowser
Another idea is that Daisy absolutely hates Tatanga, who is totally afraid of her, and that leaves Luigi trying to balance things out between the two (mostly calming Daisy down)
Isn’t the idea of someone small becoming someone big for his boyfriend adorable? In Tatanga’s case, that’s literal, but we can make it metaphorical too
Ghosts are all magical, so having an alien suddenly crash their party with tech would make them go, “eheeheehuh? what the...what’s this???” Cue Tatanga delivering ghost beat-down and proving himself to Luigi
Alternatively, the ghosts mess with Tatanga’s tech, and now he’s scared of them, causing him to relate to Luigi even more now
Now that we’re thinking about it, the idea of Tatanga shifting between big and small forms and Luigi loving him anyway sounds really cute
Another funny idea is Luigi being into the color purple, and then Tatanga gets jealous of Waluigi for no reason, just because he wears purple (it gives a reason to use Waluigi, checkmate Nintendo)
Also, shenanigans with Rosalina, since they’re both from space, but have somehow never met
Or maybe they have, and they’re like, “Wait, I saw you that one time, and you know Luigi??? Weird...”
If you want to include something far out there, there’s the time in Super Paper Mario that Luigi was mind controlled and built his own robot space ship, so that could come into play for this relationship too
Like, there’s an instance where Tatanga loses his Pagosu spaceship (or its replacement or whatever), and Luigi’s like, “Wait, I can fix it,” and then makes a new spaceship that gets Tatanga to go, “I need to marry this one”
According to me browsing the Super Mario Wiki, there was a gag manga where Tatanga was included as a tennis partner for Bowser, so that does two things: 1) Bowser and Tatanga could be friends, and then 2) Tatanga would totally play sports and such with Mario and friends
This pairs well with shipping dynamics
Luigi could always use more boyfriend options, and this would clearly be a top contender if we put the effort in
Wart/Luigi was a really good idea imo, but I feel like this has hidden potential.
Luigi/Tatanga is a new rare pair that should be put out there.
And more importantly, we can bring Tatanga back from the past and into the present with these ideas and more. Come on, let’s goooo!
