Thank you both so much! And to everyone else who left me a lovely message on my original post! I don't know if it's weird, but I really appreciate the sentiment, hahaha. Today has been a Lot and I'm happy to finally get some downtime to sit down alone at home in comfortable clothes and read some of the congratulations messages.

Match Day is such a strange experience, because you know that you're going somewhere but you have all these different expectations and hopes for wildly different places, and you don't know if you'll be moving an hour away or nine hours away or across the country! (Well, I only applied to California - but I have classmates going to New York). And you find it out all at once and get bombarded by everyone celebrating and your classmates finding out where they're going or even if they got into the specialty they wanted if they were dual-applying, etc, etc.

I'm very pleased that I'm going to be going somewhere that's not too far and with friends present, and it's also like... medical school really drags out that "becoming an adult" stage of your life, so I feel like now is the time I will finally be becoming self-sufficient and independent on top of actually getting to work as a doctor.

But also, eustress is still stress, so I'm going to go make myself a cup of tea and relax for a bit, hahaha. My social battery is, uh, in low power mode!
