the interviewer sits across from hunter in the RED base, a pen and paper in his hand. "so, 'hunter'.. since you're a new hire, the administrator asked me to gather some information about you. i'm going to ask you some questions, and you'll answer them, alright?"

"got it!"

"good. now, first question. what is your name?"

hunter stares at the director, tilting her head curiously. "hunter. i told you that."

"yes, yes, i meant your real name."

she scowls. "my name is hunter."

the interviewer clears his throat nervously, jotting the information down. "noted... now, how old are you?"

hunter is excited again. "19!"

"and your.. gender? i can't quite tell." he mumbles, looking her up and down.

"i'm a girl, obviously."

"right, right. your height?"

"5'7, i think?"

"your weight?"

hunter groans. "these questions are boriiiinggggg!"

"i know, but they're important, alright?"

"fineee. last time i got a checkup i was, uhh.. 116 pounds?"

"good. your racial background?"

"well, technically i'm from vietnam, but i grew up in liverpool!"

"and what about your class? what does 'the hunter' mean?"

"i'm not very strong, probably the least outta my coworkers, but i adapt with traps, stealth, and acrobatics! i can do a backflip, ya'know. and i'm the only one with hands small enough to fit in a pringles can!"

"uh-huh... how do you think others would describe you, personality wise?"

"hmm.. my coworkers call me a lotta stuff. 'impulsive', 'short fused', 'sick in the 'ead', 'crazy', 'tempermental', 'loose canon', 'a liability'..-"

"okay, okay, i understand.."

the interviewer finishes writing and stands from his seat. "well, hunter, thank you for your cooperation. this is all i need, so i'll be on my way."

hunter stares at him with a clam smile. "oh, you're not going anywhere."

"... excuse me?"

"i just told you a lot'a personal things, mate. can't have that information going anywhere, can we?"

the interviewer stands there, bewildered and concerned. hunter rises from her own seat and locks the door. "w-what are you doing?"

hunter turns to him with a grin and draws her knife.

"after making me sit through all those boring questions, i think you owe me some fun. don't you think?"

So....a lotta things have been going down but in a slow way that make me really stressed out and anxious. I haven't heard from my land lady about whats going on with the other room. I still need to prep it for someone to move in but I have a lot of things to prepare for as well as job hunting to do so I can't devote my whole days to moving shit around.

And I'm still trying to prep for Sakuracon. I still don't have a hotel lined up and I don't exactly know what I'm gonna do about that.

And bc its LNY still I can't get a template from my usual manu (not their fault. They'll be back in a day or so)

AND on top of all that my dad had to go to the hospital. He's a senior. And he had a fall the other day that he should have gone straight to ER for but he waited a day. And he'd been feeling dizzy and tired. So...yknow being a senior this is a massive stressor (for him obviously) and for me bc I live a state away. I can't just hop in the car and see him without 1) driving for most of the day 2) losing the days that I'm gone on the work I need to do (cleaning out the room/prepping for the con). He got cleared on the fall injury but had to go back today because of the dizziness and they're keeping him bc it seems like he had a silent stroke. WHich is super fun and cool because my MOM'S doctor told HER she might have suffered from a silent stroke as well. She's fine bc she's genuinely more robust and at least 10 years younger than him.

So on top of no money, no job, spending money to prep for a con so I can have SOME money, applying to new jobs and taking a bunch of tests for jobs that have nothing to do with animation bc the animation industry is fucking dead, being pretty much forced financially to split my apartment into a shared living space because the rent was raised (probably bc my landlady's spectrum bill was FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS HOW DID YOU EVEN DO THAT?), AND trying to make new merch for a con that I'm really worried about doing well at (because surprise vtuber drama is gonna be really easy to deal with and will absolutely affect sales thanks to people being absolutely insane and vtuber fanart was currently one of my favorite to draw AND sell) , AND JUST OVERALL STRUGGLING TO LIVE IN THIS WORLD WITH ALL THIS WORLD SHIT GOING ON.......my dad might be dying.

So....Yknow this hasn't been a GREAT February so far.

Do you have any tips on how to look more slutty/dumb/bimbo-y? I feel like despite my best efforts I always end up looking too normie

okay so while i DO have actual tips on how to tweak your look (specifically clothes+makeup) to look more bimbo-esque, i wanna preface this with like two things. 1.) being a bimbo has just as much to do with your vibes/behavior as your fit n face and 2.) you can look like basically anything and still be a bimbo. this got so long so i'm putting it under a readmore

like, just like most ppl in the world, i actually have a wealth of hobbies and i like aesthetics other than the bimbo thing! i'm also very into cottagecore stuff, for example, and while i def have some cottagecore fits that are also very slutty, most of them are not that horny. i have still been identified as a bimbo, even in my house on the prairie ass dresses, because of my behavior. like, someone in jeans and a t-shirt who's giggly and flirty and outgoing and kinda dumb is going to read to other people as a bimbo more than somebody who's dressed like a total slut but is giving off 'stay away from me' vibes. and also like....i keep my hair buzzed and i shave my eyebrows off. i usually only wear makeup/a lot of makeup on the weekends (on the weekdays i'm either bare-faced or i'm just doing brows/mascara/maybe lips). even on days like that, i can still read as a bimbo to others! and to me! cos u can look however u want and be a bimbo as long as u fit the behaviors/etc. the bimboisms must live in ur heart, not just in ur tits. or something

that being said it IS just a lot of fun to dress up like a classic bimbo so i don't fault you! my look today was sooo classic bimbo. generally there's two things that i think are most important, and that's clothes n makeup. you can transform a pretty normie outfit to being totally bimbo-y with the right makeup, and you can make lowkey makeup look more bimboy with the right outfit. but! u can also just amp both up!

there are lotsa 'bimbo' makeup looks nowadays i think. there's the classic bright lips and blue eyeshadow thing, but nowadays i mostly see a more e-girl style kawaii sorta deal, which is what i prefer. this is also super variable! i find that you can do whatever you want with your eyes as long as your lashes and/or eyeliner are big n dramatic, but you GOTTA have overdrawn lips. bonus points if they're in a bright colour and glossed! a lotta the time when i wanna go bimbocore i forgot eyeshadow at all and just draw on a big wing, wear falsies, and overdraw my lips and its all good.

as for FITS. obviously the pink is a classic but i don't think it needs to be binding. you can be a goth bimbo if u want. when i;m trying to craft a bimbo-esque outfit, i usually try to expose at least 2 of the following body parts:

cleavage

underboob

midriff

ass (as in, what you could see under very short shorts or a miniskirt)

upper thigh

obviously this isn't a hard and fast rule, and you can construct an outfit that covers all of this and still look very slutty — a super-tight dress, for example — but it's a good start! so like, a miniskirt and crop top looks great cos you're exposing thigh, midriff and maybe even a lil ass! a minidress that shows off your cleavage, etc! obviously the weather can complicate this, but even in the winter i try to hit at least one of these.

and, obvi, there are other things you can do — i love wearing a blond wig when i wanna really commit to the vibes — but the right makeup, fit, and especially behavior will take you like sooooo far. and you can mix and match! makeup and vibes in a normal fit? still great! no makeup but you're still giggly and silly, go for it!

i got a lotta things to do tomorrow.

but i booked an appointment with an advisor to help me pick insurance! that'll be next week.

work was wild today. we didn't send out any notices today while i was there, but we saw on the news when prigozhin went down and india's lunar landing. and biden saying that "not much happens in russia that putin's not behind" which is a hell of a way to accuse a world leader of murder, even though shooting down aircraft is less of his style than poisoning is. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

i love my job.

also when i got in someone said "GSOCtopus" and jack drew a bad one on the board and challenged someone to do it better. so i did. below are the drawings done.

jack's is on the right. on the left, the artists from bottom to top are supervisor adam, coworker meredith, coworker adam, and me. the sign is our company's logo.

when i handed jack my octopus, he went, "what the hell, this is so good" and i was just kinda smug lmao. i encouraged everyone to draw their own. so we have a pod of GSOCtopi and i hope they're there tomorrow.

i love my job so much.

anyway, i stopped at the grocery store on the way home because i needed to get more yogurt and i wanted chocolate, and i walked out twenty minutes and a hundred dollars later with that and a little more. came back to the house to hot dogs and game which was BRUTAL. like one of our players' characters threw a grenade and ended up dying from it under MY character's hands. and he was my buddy, too, so that fucked callum up. my character's name is callum cross and she's a badass and gender-fluid in my head. he's a fun character to play because while everyone else is like "callum is a girl" i'm like "sure he's a girl, he's a girl alright" which is kind of the opposite of how i feel about me? like, im just some guy. im just a random ass man living here, yknow? im just a dude. so cal and i are two sides of the same coin. both intelligence-based highly-educated smart and confident people, but cal is military and im civilian and he's got a C in empathy and i would have a B at least. (the grade determines the type of die you roll for checks involving that skill - an A is a d12, B is a d10, C is a d8, D is a d6, and if you don't have a grade you don't get an extra die for that skill. you need a letter grade in the attribute, which is a category, but the skills under them don't need one. you have to put extra into skills to build them up. it's a fascinating system.)

but yeah. so joel's dad is making a new character which may turn out to be another connection for callum, which im excited for. he's gonna have another friend to help bring her back from the end of her rope after losing his best friend. im excited for that.

anyway, i was happy enough to sit next to joel. he's off doing something downstairs, but he's going to put my new battery in my laptop tomorrow, so that'll stay here. lots to do tomorrow, though.

WIGGLES IN MY SEAT im gonna ramble abt it under the cut cuz it might get long (edit: it'sfuckign long). so sorry if i end up talkin abt it for way longer than anybody cares for (edit: i absolutely did) VEIAUGV

it's sort of a world where the concept of pokemon is settled into it more realistically. not saying it's super realistic or anything like that, i just mean certain aspects abt the traditional pokemon world is changed to reflect what i Think it would probably look like irl

there's still magic, bc a lot of pokemon moves can definitely be considered magic. i don't rly care abt the whole like,, "omg this move would end humanity omg most electric pokemon let out the volt equivalent of like a small refrigerator omg the very concept of evolution is fucked and an evolution would kill everything within a 5 mile radius Probably but that's just a (game) theory" i do think that stuff is fun to think abt but for the sake of everybody Living i kinda ignore a lot of that GVIYEAGA

THERE'S,, a lotta little things abt trainers in this au that i've thought abt !! first of all u have to be 18 to be a pokemon trainer. this 10 year old child is not handling this 11 foot tall dragon. and most trainers do not have 6 pokemon !! raising pokemon is a fuckin Task, and i sorta equate it to like,, being a zookeeper and trying to train lions and tigers to obey u. it takes a lot of effort to train even one animal like that; now imagine ur taking care of and training six. that's,,, usually too much for the average person GVIYAEGV not to mention,,,, fuckign expensive

most trainers ofc start w one and usually get at least one more somewhere along the journey, but a lot stop there ! that's still a lot of work, and everybody deals w work and stress differently, so a pretty solid chunk of trainers stick to loving and training their one or two buddies

a lesser chunk of trainers make it up to 3 pokemon, an even lesser amount trains 4, and even lesser percentage trains 5,, u get it. wars in particular has 5 pokemon on his team, and another herdier at home that's simply one of the tamer, pet-like pokemon people have.

on the more realistic side of things, trainers can get hit w moves, and it's not like a Oh Haha They Got Shocked and They're Smoking like in the animes or anything. it Hurts and it's very dangerous. pokemon training in general is dangerous as all hell, not just bc the obvious caution it takes to train a team, but also just bc most of the time trainers are out in the wild ,, yaknow. training. and being in the middle of the wilderness isn't the safest thing, especially when there's wild pokemon everywhere

on the more boring side of things, i think every trainer is legally required to have a pokedex. pokedexes here do a bit more, including basic phone features and emergency stuff cuz This Is Dangerous yaknow. also yes the pokedex Can run doom somebody's already tried it

uhhh more boring shit so sorry but im mentally ill abt the boring logistics of this. every trainer is issued an id card and u can see wars' in my drawing ! the back of it is the typical trainer id from the games, but the front is fancy and quickly gives info abt the trainer themselves

they r color coded !!!! different colored pokeball symbol on the card for the number of team members they have :) red is 1, yellow is 2, blue is 3, bronze is 4, silver is 5 (wars !!!!!!!!), gold is 6. the more important figures in the pokemon world (gym leaders, league winner, elite four, champion) have a black colored card to quickly tell people Hey Im Fuckin Good (hint hint legend has a gold id card >:])

the league competitions r prolly split into categories ?? like,, there's a league category just for trainers w one pokemon ! and then there's the typical 6-pkmn team category, and everything in between. it seems a bit unfair to let somebody w 3 pokemon go up against somebody w 6, especially given the fact that some people have Jobs they need to go to . training is a side-hobby for most people (not to mention a lot of people straight up can't afford it). so the league splits them all up into different challenges. (not quite sure what would happen if the winner of the 1-pkmn category tried to challenge the champion ...... maybe there's champions/elite four/gym leaders for each category !!! that'd be cool i think)

^ just bc people r shitty and dumb sometimes, there's prolly a stigma around people who only have one or two pokemon, but i like to think the Good, Nice trainers know otherwise. just bc u can train more pokemon doesn't mean ur immediately Better. yes, a trainer with 5 pokemon versus ur 2 will Probably win, but it's not rly abt that ? pokemon is abt bonds and all that mushy shit. respectful trainers will know that the 2-pkmn category champion is not Worse than the 5-pkmn champion. they r very, very different things, when u get into it

side note on that i feel like the 1-pkmn category would be strangely popular in this world. it's a 1v1 ? u only have one buddy w u, so covering ur weakness is very hard to do i'd think. idk i don't play online competitive GVIAEYGV AND ALSO, abt the categories being different ? in a competitive sense, a team of 3 is going to be WILDLY different in terms of strategies and plays than a team of 6. u have to think much differently

also im not totally sure abt this part, still kinda thinkin on it, but people who Aren't trainers still have pokemon at their side, and im wonderin abt the laws of that . similar to the law of like,, not being allowed to have a Fucking Leopard in ur living room, i feel like having super dangerous pokemon would be,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,not good <3 GVEAIYVGA i wonder how they'd fix that problem,,,

i debated on like,, they have pkmn in a tier list ? of like,, how dangerous they can be. and maybe if it's just a household pet, it'd have to be in This Tier (points at overly complicated graph) to be able to house that pokemon. and what abt like,,,,,,, pokemon that get Way more dangerous w their evolution ? they'd be in a different tier, surely. maybe they legally have to hold an everstone ?? i don't fuckin know GVEYAUGV

oh lastly i am very fond of trainers actually Asking a wild pokemon if they want to be caught. Not doing that and just catching them against their will seems like straight up imprisonment to me VGIEAGV so i think that's generally a good courtesy. if u Don't do that when catching a wild pokemon then everybody kinda thinks ur a ://////////// trainer

2. I literally LOVE aquatic animals! I went through a whale phase when i was younger so I've got books, posters, etc. I also really like jellyfish, they're just super fascinating to me, also koi fish, theyre one of my all time favourite things to draw, i doodle them when im stressed and stuff

3. Favourite word? Uhhhh couldnt tell you, i like a lot of words, i like german words a lot because they have all kinds of fun nonsense which is fun to say, but nope no favourite words

4. Chemical element!? Chemistry has got to be my least favourite subject lmao, but i think fluorine is good, good for beauty but also good for killing, i like the double edge sword thing

Okokok, I THINK I did a somewhat-decent job answering all your questions under the cut, but for a writer, I am REALLY bad at explaining things, so hopefully it's alright!

Also, I want to clarify for ya, Anon-you can disregard any or all of the stuff I ramble about down here. In general, I added a LOT of super-specific stuff to my list to give whoever plenty of options, but frankly, you could give me a crayon doodle of one of my mains and I'd be happy. I don't want you to feel obligated make anything specific-whatever you think you can make, and whatever sounds fun to you!

#1: Okay, in the interest of not going on for FOREVER, the main reason I listed BotW specifically is because I like the Zelda series in theory, but I am very bad at puzzles and have too poor a memory to keep track of long quest lines, so I am Very Very Bad at most Zelda games.

But! Putting that aside, I also just really love the aesthetics of BotW, both the magic-tech-fusion and the beautiful wilderness and small settlements. Plus, the events of all the past games are so far off in the past that they're only seen in the form of old ruins and myths and it's just SUCH a neat mystery element, especially since they also throw in stuff that ISN'T related to anything else in the series just to throw you off your rhythm.

I also apparently have a soft spot for amnesiac protagonists? Which I didn't notice until my friend teased me over it, but yeah, I love BotW!Link but he makes me sad.

So, short version: I like the LoZ series as a whole; but I'm too dumb for traditional Zelda games and can only really handle wandering around lost in the middle of nowhere, and BotW is a really good take on wandering around lost in the middle of nowhere. #2: Crackship is basically shorthand for any particularly bonkers and weird ship. It could be weird because they wouldn't be a good couple, because they don't have any chemistry, or (in the case of basically EVERY Smash Bros ship.) because they're from straight up different times or universes. In the case of my Smash Bros. pairings-both romantic and platonic-there's basically no interaction between them even in the context of Smash, but it's fun to think about, and based on their personalities, I feel like they'd get along. #3: Playlists-how you go about it is really up to you! Usually, in this case it's a set of songs inspired by a certain series, character, ship, etc., based off of lyrics, or sometimes just the Vibes. That's what I've been doing for the SSB Secret Santa in the past.

They tend to be a bit of an eclectic collection of songs, at least when I make 'em, since I both try to make them at least 15 songs long and have no regard for genres. The Kirby and Inkling one was mostly just 'action-y music that has the right energy,' the Pit one was more character-specific, and the Sheik one was somewhere in between. With Smash Bros., when in doubt, just adding upbeat music that feels like it fits the energy of that specific character is always a good option.

Of course, it's all up to you. If you're more comfortable writing, drawing, editing, whatever, that's awesome too! I just don't see a lotta folks doing fanmixes, and I think they're neat, so I thought I'd signal that it's an option.

#4: I was gonna say 'Oh, thanks for asking for one per volume, I'm bad at decisions,' but THAT'S NOT HELPING AS MUCH AS I'D THOUGHT, especially in some cases. *glares at Volumes 2, 4 and 7* So, some of these are doubled-up, sorry!
