Yaz Şarkısı episode 3
Below are my thoughts about episode 3, again with major spoilers included.
(More like an incoherent rambling than thoughts but it is what it is lmao)
This time my notes are more or less in chronological order just as the episode progressed.
Overall thoughts:
Yaz and Kemal actually look kinda cute together. Their together scenes were cute.
I also like Yaz and Murat together though, so like... I'd be alright with either outcome given decent circumstances.
The more i see the more i adore Yaz and Murat. YazMur is probably the way to go. The way they're looking at each other omg. At this point i prefer YazMur over YazKem for sure!
Murat is my favourite character and probably the only character towards whom I have no negative emotions at all. Efekan is very talented actor. He can show wide range of emotions only using eyes which i always love.
Some of the scenes were actually funny.
Chronological order:
• What the hell is wrong with Emine and her problem solving methods always including a gun?!?! I mean, how can you do that? Adults usually,... I don't know... TALK before taking out a fucking weapon! On the side note: I don't know the process of obtaining a gun in Turkey but here you must pass a psychological tests to be eligible for a weapon license. And Emine for sure wouldn't pass that...
• I know we shouldn't sympathize with Neri but like..., she had every right to call police. I mean if you were at someone's house and heard a gunshot out of nowhere wouldn't it be the logical thing to do when you have no idea what's happening and are scared for your life? Maybe she could withdraw the lawsuit, it would probably be the right thing to do but like. I was kinda okay with the outcome, Emine doesn't have a weapon anymore which makes everyone in her proximity automatically much safer lmao (I'm only half joking now... I'm seriously glad she's not armed anymore).
• Aslı is really getting on my nerves. Girl, Kemal doesn't want to have anything with you, just accept that and move on. She is really really really awful person. All the stuff she does to Yaz and then she acts as her best friend, I wish she will suffer consequences of all her awful actions. And how she's always touching Kemal, aaahhh, if it was the other way around it would be immediately called workplace harassment. Just, i hate her.
• I have a mixed feeling towards Defne, i don't know. Sometimes she seems as a chill and kind person. But on the negative note, how she was flirting with the guy, like he said he didn't want to join the party and he didn't want anything to drink. Defne should just accept no as an answer and not push harder. Then she spills tea over everything. They spent whole night fixing everything she ruined because of the tea escapade. The guy tells her it would probably be for the best if she doesn't walk around his desk in the future (given the stuff that happened) and he's the bad guy? Like... How? In the scene both Aslı and Defne gave signs of toxic behavior imho.
• Poor Murat!!!!!!!! Murat, my dear, you deserve someone better than Yaz, someone who will truly love you and appreciate your efforts! He was done dirty. I mean, sorry to break it to Yaz, but people on average just can't lie their way out of everything without wink of an eye. Yaz started the game of fake marriage proposal. If we put Murat's love to Yaz aside, he wanted to help his friend and played along. They start to be in a mess because of all the lies and when he wanted to tell his MOTHER truth after she FAINTED before, he is the bad guy? Yaz, you should be thankful Murat plays along with you! Show some respect and be thankful! He tried his best and unfortunately it just didn't went according to Yaz's expectations and she's angry at him that his mom made a conclusion Yaz must be pregnant if they want to marry asap. That's bad, I agree, but 1. he couldn't say otherwise beacuse she passed out from shock again and 2. Yaz's lie started the game so Murat really isn't the one to blame.
• I disliked how Yaz went to breakfast with Kemal rather than dealing with all the mess and leaving Murat behind.
• WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YAZ'S FAMILY?!?!?! WHY THE HELL DID THEY KIDNAPPED MURAT?!?!? WTF?!?! Again, I truly don't understand Emine's concept of problem solving... She thought she would stay in jail so she made her relatives kidnapp her son-in-law? Does it make any sense?
• Murat, please, turn around and RUN! Run away from Yaz and her toxic family.... If someone kidnapped me I would never forget and I would probably also not forgive.
• To be fair, Murat should have said to his mom that Yaz is in fact not pregnant. Like why would he let his mom think that? No reason for that. Fake wedding is one thing which is like... kinda easy to cancel but a BABY? That's not so easy to lie about. If he didn't want to tell his mom the whole truth (because he wants to help Yaz (but it does him more harm than good imho) but okay understandable) he DEFINITELY SHOULD HAVE told her that it was a misunderstanding and Yaz is not pregnant. No reason to make even bigger mess of the situation than it is.
• I'm so glad Murat stood up for himself! You go, my dear! Tell Yaz that she needs to value your efforts!!!
• I'm so happy Murat also saw right through the fake facade of Aslı. The only people who still thinks she is a genuinely nice person are Yaz, Defne (and probably Fadime). Hopefully Yaz will soon also realize what kind of person Aslı really is.
• I'm glad Murat and Yaz reconciled and that Yaz acknowledged her mistake(s). That was very cute scene.
• Yaz again left Murat behind and went away with Kemal. Even though she promised Murat they would go to his mom together. Her actions are kinda saddening. Once again, poor Murat.
• I don't like Sema at all... At all...
• I HATE unnecessary shirtless scenes (which are pretty much all of them lmao), but like I'm not exactly the target audience so it is, what it is 🤦🏽‍♂️😂.
• Yaz really is egoistic af. (Kemal also though.) Murat was so right during his argument with Yaz. No one thinks about him or take him into account. I wholeheartedly agreed with every sentence he said. He is damn right!!! They both are in a difficult situation but Yaz started the game.
• Don't even know what to say about the end tbh. I truly don't know. I think it will be for the best if the truth came out, rather sooner than later. So I'm kinda okey with that. Hopefully they will find out Aslı is behind everything and at least fire her. At least...
Final note:
As someone on twitter mentioned, it would seem logical to me, if YazMur were the way the story unfolds. Like Yaz is in love with this idea of Kemal, the perfect Kemal, which is only her dream though. In reality he's nothing like in her fantasies. So it would be great if she found out that she's in fact not in love with the real Kemal and will realize Murat, who's truly in love with her, will make her happier in life. I want Yaz to fall in love with Murat very much!!!! Let's break the cliches and stereotypes and make Yaz and Murat a happy lovely couple.

Lol, Emrecan is shocked as well.

The door bell rings again...

Emrecan: My sister's boyfriend just came. Aslı: Your sister has also a boyfriend? Emrecan: It's gonna be a mess. Hopefully my battery charge level is enough to record everything.
The girl must be thinking what a scandalous family they are.
Btw even when Ece and Haluk don't know their own feelings everyone around them is aware of that something is going on.

He already forgives her for what happened a few minutes ago. Awww.

Alright, so last night I survived the apocalypse that was the Çarpışma finale. Man. Where should I even start? Let me begin by saying that I did not think it was possible to witness a disaster bigger than the Çukur S2 finale. Boy, I was wrong. So wrong. Spoilers ahead, read at your own risk.
The thing I feared happened in like... the first five minutes or so. Zeynep died, and this filled me with rage. I was never invested in ZeyKad (mostly due to the way Ali chose to write Kadir's storyline), but I FUCKING knew that dead Zeynep would result in lots of screen time for the most boring character ever aka Cansız. Besides, it's FUCKING RIDICULOUS that Ali spent half of episode 23 on Zeynep's rescue from that bomb, only to kill her literally FIVE FUCKING MINUTES LATER. WHAT WAS EVEN THE POINT OF RUINING HALF OF EPISODE 23?
Like okay, this show became a trainwreck ever since Cansız appeared. I did not expect any freaking miracles so late in the series. EVEN SO, IF ALİ WAS SO KEEN ON ZEYNEP DYING, WHY DID HE NOT GIVE US AN EPISODE FULL OF HAPPY ZEYKAD AND HAPPY CEMKER, PROPERLY PROVIDE CLOSURE TO THEIR STORY ARCS, AND THEN HAVE ZEYNEP BE KIDNAPPED AND KILLED? Not to mention that her being killed due to a bomb would have been a tragic parallel to the way Aslı and Deniz died in episode 1.
But no, homegirl gets saved only to subsequently die the most anticlimactic death ever - she's stabbed by Cansız in the club. AND THEN WE SPEND 3/4 OF THE FINALE HAVING TO ENDURE KADİR'S MAN PAIN, VELİ'S MAN PAIN AND CANSIZ BEING BORING AS FUCK. WHY OH WHY. OH AND ALSO AYLİN BECOMES AN ORPHAN AND SHE GETS KIDNAPPED FROM UNDER CEMKER'S NOSES!!! GREAT!
Almost two hours into the ridiculousness, I finally witnessed the first mildly good scenes. Kadir and Veli worked together to save Aylin and ended up beating Cansız at his own game, and I liked that. Veli apologising to Serpil and then taking the blame for the murder of Cansız was also quite nice. The highlight of the finale was the fact that we got a CemKer proposal!!!! I would have preferred a more intimate set-up for that proposal BUT OH WELL. I honestly feared for Kerem's life, and my standards for this show were under the sea level anyway, so I'll take whatever bone Ali is willing to throw at me. Plus, they looked fantastic in white.
Well, that was it. Everyone lives happily ever after, except Zeynep, Kadir’s mother, Aslı, and Deniz, who are all dead. Overall, it was a disappointing finale for a disappointing series. Too bad, it had a lot of potential. At least I got my happy CemKer, but I am really sorry for the Zeynep and ZeyKad fans.
I will return to my regular episode-by-episode analysis soon.

Building a Temple...
Love = God The Anatolian Jam is over. Things are rocking, but nothing's happening. It's such a mess in my head that I just want to hide. I saw photos on Facebook. Some people built something called Topak in Cappadocia, and it's maybe the most beautiful settlement I've ever seen. It's like a mother's womb, and the people there, who smile pleasantly and look beautiful, are called the Obaruhu (the spirit of nomads). Then my life changed. I encountered a beautiful yet tough life after love. I had no energy left for anything else. But the Obaruhu then decided to come near us and help us. Bilge was also coming over, my dearest friend from senior high. Whenever Bilge is there, I laugh. I'm relaxed, and I can be as I am. I see, and I am seen. What's more, Bilge was going to see me in my new life, in my new home and my natural habitat. We were going to play with both the Obaruhu and Bilge, but it didn't happen. I had to leave, so we couldn't play. A year passed before I saw it on Facebook, and Bilge pushed me too. The Obaruhu had decided to build a temple for Topak. It was the most amazing production combination possible in this country. Melodi was coming as well, another darling from high school with the most incredible brain. She's the answer to the question of whether aliens exists, because they do, and Melodi is proof of it. Melodi cannot help but goof around, but I don't mind because of her positive attitude (which is every alien being's right) and her wonderful heart. Çağım might also come over. If Çağım is there, I will feel great, safe, and supported. I feel understood. In my opinion, Çağım is a cross between a squirrel and a mountain.
Tumblr media
I was bedridden for a year, and every part of me ached from the immobility. I was creating new records for laziness and fixity. I longed to play with the Obaruhu, Bilge, Melodi, and Çağım, and this weighed on me more than anything else, so I enrolled weeks in advance. I went to Badem Han, where we would build the temple, the day before just so I could chat with my friends. We were reunited. We then sat with Burcu and did not shut up for at least five hours. If it were up to me, I would have talked for five million hours. On the day of the meeting, all the marvelous colors began to pour in. It was just as I had dreamed it: a parade of beautiful people, all unique to themselves and completing each other. We sat in a circle to introduce ourselves, and everyone first expressed their wishes before making small drawings with the colors and elements they wanted. I said the building was merely a vehicle. I was there to play, and I would endeavor to see the beauty in everyone rather than their flaws. I intended to share everything that I had learned, saw, and become. When I said I didn't like to work much, it triggered a few giggles. I drew my volcano, naturally in red where the fiery magma was, and sat back down. I wanted to say much nicer things, but I was so excited that this was all I could manage. Following the circle, we retrieved Bilge's tent, which the strong wind had blown away, and Melodi, Bilge, and I squeezed in it, compensating for the lost time with laughter. In the middle of the night, the only wish that I and Züriye held came true: Çağım, who everybody thought wouldn't be able to make it, joined us. Many people woke up and ran towards Çağım half-sleeping, some fell down as they ran and some hugged him, me among them. Every wise being loves Çağım immensely. It was like a festival itself in the middle of the night. I said to myself, “Okay, now we can truly build a temple of love and unity. You're going to work your ass off, Baraniko.” We woke up at six, Ernie's favorite number and a time I’m more used to going to bed at rather than waking up. Why? We were to play the earth game. The weather is so cold, and my ass felt like it would freeze off. We went to a cemetery shivering, and they covered our eyes. We began to walk in silence, holding on to the person before us. We walked barefoot among pine needles and pebbles on the ground. With the cold things stabbing at my feet, I decided to raise my arms and shout, “Dad! Why did you leave me?” but stopped myself rather than ruin the game. My disdain for being a spoilsport surpassed my urge to schmooze, and once this sweet agony had passed, they placed some earth in our palms. We said one word and put it in the bucket for later use when building the temple. When Burcu said, “Unity,” I leisurely said, “Let there be love.” Maybe you're a bit tired of hearing this, but I have no other issues. Let there be love, and the rest will be easy.
Tumblr media
The first day was a warm up, and the building process went very slow. The next day we were flying, though. People were sieving soil, wheeling sand and earth in barrows, and mixing them with water. Others passed mixture-filled buckets from hand to hand in a human chain. Some emptied buckets into bags, while others took measurements or ferried water. A few even just shared their music. It was just like the movie Fight Club. The next day, we went to the shore to play the water game. We first listened to our story from the voice of beauties before heading into the sea and making a circle. We began to play our game of singing songs, all among the surprised but sweet looks of the dear inhabitants of Keşan. Lots of kids were in the sea laughing, playing, and singing. I don't know how to swim, so I wouldn't normally go in the cold sea. What kind of magicians were these Obaruhu? Yet I found myself laughing hysterically, splashing water, repeatedly jumping into the middle of the circle, and singing at the top of my voice. Scorpio–Cancer Baraniko seemed to be slowly finding his self. We continued raising our temple, helping each other out, listening to the stories, tolerating flaws, and sharing our food, drink, and tobacco. We worked in four shifts every day: before breakfast, after breakfast, under the midday sun, and until the sun went down. After lunch, people would offer gifts. Melodi explained sacred geometry one day, for instance. She's been telling me this stuff constantly for 15 years, and I always loved it, although I never really understood it. Until this workshop, I thought my primitive two-dimensional brain was to blame. But then I saw how Merve and Burcu also listened to her with eager eyes and open mouths. At one point, she was talking about something like rombotiko, and we lost a few people to brain hemorrhages. I thought, “Okay, it's not just me. Us mere mortals can only understand about a half of what our dear friend is saying.” One evening, we played the fire game. We first paired up and filled each other's plates with food. Without talking, we then fed each other in turn. Çağım and I, two hairy guys, fed each other in such elegance. My inner voice at first said, “We are so tired. Screw this stupid idea,” but I loved how it all flowed, and we laughed our heads off about it. They then lit the fire, and we all played around it for a while. Then, Aslı, a wonderful and genuine person who had spent a lot of time at Badem Han, began to play with fire and dance. Every time I watched the fire, I wanted to become the fire. As the temple rose up, we began to benefit from its shadow during the daytime, and we used it for shelter at night. Volkan also organized ceremonies inside at night, with many of us smirking in our sleeping bags. Of course, I wasn't active in any of the bedtime stories. I slept approximately three hours throughout the whole workshop. Finally, we played the air game, which involved closing your eyes and letting go of your body in one piece. The main objective was to learn to trust that the people around you would catch you. This was difficult for me. I bent my knees and so on, but I couldn't entirely let go of my body. Then Mukund, a boy from Bombay with a beautiful gaze, saw this Anatolian boy. Organizing the entire group into one circle, he then placed me in the middle. At first I thought, “Shit! I’m so exposed.” Then I said, “Screw it!” and completely let go of myself. To the left and right, to the front and back, I didn't bend any part of my body even a morsel. I didn't hesitate whatsoever. They caught me every time, no matter how many times I did it.

This is how we built the temple. We placed the hexagonal hood and the glass on the roof as well. We couldn't get enough hugs as we parted. We said farewell to everyone, but alas, the final coating was not complete yet. We stayed one more night as the Obaruhu and our high school threesome completed most of the coating. We embraced each and every one of Badem Han staff, especially Aykut, for feeding us, welcoming us as their guests, opening up their hearts to us, and even working alongside us. They finished the remainder of the coating after we left. Bless them. Our temple has two triangular doors, one symbolizing the female and the other the male. Each one of us came through those doors and transformed into something beautiful. From earth, sand, and water, we built something great, but we also built actual temples in each other's hearts, falling, laughing, playing, and crying in unity and in love. Let there be Love. And there is Love. Thank goodness. (For Obaruhu visit: www.obaruhu.org) Read the full article

People Are Outraged That Cuba Gooding Jr. Lifted Up Sarah Paulson’s Dress
yahoo
Cuba Gooding Jr. is known for his crazy onstage antics, but he may have taken it too far. At the American Horror Story: Roanoke PaleyFest panel in Los Angeles Sunday, the actor felt the need to lift up his co-star Sarah Paulson’s dress, sort of pantsing her onstage, and Twitter wasn’t happy about it.

Paulson put on a purple sparkly Prada dress for the event, having no idea loose skirts weren’t safe around Gooding Jr. As Kathy Bates was welcomed onstage, Paulson stood up to applaud her, and Gooding Jr. took this opportunity to lift up the back of Paulson’s high-neck, shin-length dress, revealing a lot of leg, but that’s it, luckily. She was so excited by Bates that she didn’t notice at first, but when she did, she snatched the fabric out of the actor’s hands. Paulson didn’t seem angry at the actor, grinning at her co-star’s silliness before taking a safe seat.
The two pros — who’ve also worked on American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson together — continued goofing off throughout the panel, no love lost. We can’t say the same for Twitter, though. People were outraged at the act, and expressed their disgust on social media.

How would @cubagoodingjr react if a man walked up to his daughter, Piper and lifted her dress up behind her back? #itsneverok

About the only thing worth posting from last night. An event sadly marred by sexist behaviour pic.twitter.com/CoCYVFRjOv
— SallyThatTwirl (@SupremelyOne) March 27, 2017
Words like “sexist,” “disrespectful,” and “pervert” are being tossed around on Twitter to describe Gooding Jr. and his actions. Many fans are calling for apologies.
Um… so is @cubagoodingjr allowed to get away with lifting @MsSarahPaulson skirt at @paleycenter? Total disrespect to a woman
— WinterThreds (@piratepenzan) March 27, 2017
What happened to Sarah Paulson yesterday at #PaleyFest was so disrespectful and definitely NOT OK or funny ????????

Be careful if you're a woman and is wearing a skirt next to him https://t.co/WJpwX6TpAJ
— louise banks (@blutjeans) March 27, 2017
This man (@cubagoodingjr) is a dick who shouldn't be allowed around the perfection that sarah Paulson clearly is https://t.co/zIZTh0GsG9
— kyra | 0 (@spfeed1974) March 27, 2017
it's not okay, even in grade school, you don't pull any girls skirts up…and she's on a stage with MANY people looking at her…
— A BAGEL (@paulson_bagel) March 27, 2017
Then there was the one person who defended him:
@cubagoodingjr I love ❤️ everything you do; there are too many people w/out a sense of humour (sad), and I hope they learn to live a little
— Manny Mangala (@ucheck4me) March 27, 2017
Let’s hope this was some silly inside joke — like before going onstage, Paulson told Gooding Jr. that she’s always dreamt of being pantsed onstage and he was simply trying to make a pal’s dreams come true…

"Okay sir, i think you've had enough to drink." she says as she tries to stop them from putting their arm around her for a dance. "I'm not the girl that's going to dance with you." she says a little more firmly hoping they would get the hint, but they were drunk and Aslı found herself having to support their weight to stop them toppling over. "Uh, excuse me. Could you give me a hand. This guy needs to get into a cab." she asked the nearest person to help her.

Okay, this is seriously heartbreaking. Zeynep’s trauma following the death of her father (who was a policeman) was so big that she gave up on her true love Kadir when he decided to choose the same career, out of fear that he will also die. Here she is with their other friend Aslı, asking her to basically become Kadir’s lover.
Btw, Aslı actually ends up marrying Kadir and having a daughter with him, and they both die in the first episode, and as a result Kadir becomes pretty much suicidal. THIS SHOW I SWEAR

Not that I don’t love these two, because I do, but I would have been way more comfortable with their story if there would have been no Deniz and no Aslı. Kadir should still be in mourning instead of pandering over his lost relationship with his former love. Like, okay, I understand that Zeynep was the great love of his life and everything, but it feels like the scenarist is moving their relationship way too fast. He was literally suicidal in the first two episodes, and now he’s... mostly fine, except when he remembers his dead family, which did not happen very often between episodes 3 and 6.
(my discomfort is amplified even more by the fact that Galip dies at the end of the episode - like wtf, we know he’s shit, but still)
