"…how do I cope with knowing how others have so much less time? Do you want to know a secret? I haven't." She turned achingly to face the Mew, her eyes staining with tears. "I hate it. I absolutely hate knowing that every time I get close to someone, I'm going to be outliving them. How am I supposed to be happy, thinking about something like that? I don't know… I love everyone who's ever been my mate, I love everyone in my family, I just… we're talking at least, by now, twenty to thirty distinct families from mates, adoptions, friendships, everything down the line."

"I don't really think I've truly gotten over losing my first mate, if you want me to be fully transparent with you." She growled angrily at herself. What are you doing? she thought. This Mew doesn't want to listen to you grumble and gripe. Regardless, she continued, "I haven't kept any of my mates since him for more than about, maybe ten years at the absolute longest? Seems like something always happens; we're too different, they decide I'm not right for them, they don't want to help with the kids, I say something they can't stand… there are just too many reasons to list. Or maybe… I just don't want them to stay around long enough to have to lose them like I know I would..."

"But I haven't seen or spoken to her since I was eight, when I ran away." Adrienne thumped one of her back paws a couple times, "The kids were so busy running from Ghost they didn't think to grab any means of communication. I don't know how we'd get ahold of her now."

After a moment she lowered her voice, "And maybe its selfish of me...but I'm not sure I'm ready for another family reunion. Star is like me, so I doubt there would be trouble with accepting me like Derry did...but- look. I can take care of Finn and Keahi just fine on my own. We'll be okay.

hi, do you know why jellowshipping was called this way?

im pretty sure it a mix between jellyfish and mallow! i think the word jellyfish was used because of the "lillie is a nihiligo" theories back when sun and moon was announced.
