[Rare pokemon weren't uncommon, so Nat didn't have much of a big reaction from being approached by a Mew.]
[Their excitement and giddiness grew as they did a quick flip-through of the book's contents. There was a time they would've had many books like this one, unfortunately now either collecting dust in a region far away or disappearing into the lives of others. This was a reset point, a sign to grow and move forward.]
[When it came to the pendant however, Nat became fully entranced by the details. How much work had to be done to get all the little details on the thing? They held the pendant up to get a better look by using the sun's light as they twisted the chain in their hands, watching how the blue gems caught the light and bent the reflections of the surrounding cave.]
I'm almost afraid to wear this, but I will though! These mean the world to me, thank you so so much.
[These were definitely going to be taken care of, without a doubt.]

It seems Lucifer pulled Nat from @asktheisle for the Star Sending Event! Nat seems glad for the company and the sentiment, though how he managed to get two gifts is anyone's guess. Apparently it wasn't too difficult? Transform's a useful move.
Nat was given a book on constellations ("Atlas of the Stars")! It's a decent read that both gives a good rundown on astronomy, as well as illustrations of the constellations and a general guide on how to find them at night.
In the smaller gift box is a Reshiram-themed pendant! Apparently dragon-type themed accessories and apparel are pretty popular right now. Something about Mystery Dungeons and Dragons...

Heyo! First let me say that i REALLY dig your blog, and watching the current arc (mega stone at the time of drafting this post) has been a blast (the emotional tension... the payoff that solidifies the trust that's been built and their potential to grow even further... chef's kiss). You've got really cool ideas and you seem like a real chill person.

These cats are GAMING ))
[ A small odd looking shiny Mew would appear in front of Wen, looking excited as his arms were behind his back hiding something. ]
[ The small Mew would then reveal what was behind him. It was some odd looking electronic device coated in red with a few scratches.]
So I found this that I thought you may like! It’s some weird device and that has something called ‘Tomodachi Life’ on it! And it sounded really similar to that Tamagotchi thing you wanted! So I thought you’d really like it, so here you go!

You could get him a plush of something, too (genuinely).
Little virtual pet thing (like Tamagotchi). Genuinely, not a joke, he's curious and would like something as an occasional distraction.

Imbeciles.
The Mew crossed his arms, his tawny gaze focused on the fallen eevee in the snow. The 'doll' was finally beginning to run its course, the small petal falling into the snow only to be crumbled as the eevee toppled over itself.
Despite the boredom written over his features, Wen maintained his vigilance.
So much for an extended departure to so much anywhere, a dry thought from the Mew as he watched the Eevee struggle to get on its feet.
It was best to observe. He didn't live as long as he had by risking life and limb like the fools who approached the 'puppet' so boldly.
Wait for the petals to completely shrivel, for the puppet's strings to sever and for the eevee to become the proper corpse as its meant to be.
Merely… he was binding his time as much as they were binding theirs.
A stalemate they call it yet he hopes no others would potentially feed them to tip the scales.
A narrow gaze from the Mew.
He would not be the first to commit a blunder.

Introduction
Some of you may know about the PSA that circulated a few months ago regarding The-House-of-Hemingway’s relationship and unacceptable sexual interactions with someone who was a minor. Hemingway now goes by C-a-l-y-p-s-o. This post will discuss the details of the PSA, as well as this user’s concerning past and present behavior.
To the best of the ability of those responsible for this document, the username will continually be updated so that this person cannot interact with members of this community again without disclosing who they are, regardless if the interaction is safe-for-work or not.
The following post is intended to bring awareness to someone who is
Confirmed to be a groomer.
Attempting to convince members of the pokeask community that they have “changed” but is clearly trying to win favor with you.
A risk to the community, cannot be safely trusted, and needs to exit community spaces.
Disclaimers
Harassment of Calypso in any form is unacceptable behavior. The purpose of this post is to inform. This is not a call for hostile action beyond a block on every social media possible.
Please respect the victim’s boundaries and do not badger them for further details than what has been disclosed. While disagreement and discussion is OK, please keep your comments outside of tumblr and public discord servers.
If harassment occurs, the names of any individuals who dogpile, send death threats to, or doxx those involved with this situation will also be listed (with concrete evidence only) on this document.
TL;DR
Tumblr user @C-a-l-y-p-s-o, previously known as the mod behind the pokeask blog “house-of-hemingway,” is a confirmed groomer who has deleted their admission of guilt to save face.
Calypso has violated a boundary that is expected between a victim and an abuser by leveraging themselves into positions of authority (server moderators, event leaders, etc.)
Calypso has broken promises made to their peers over the course of their internet presence, changing names and website profiles/identities in order to escape the responsibility for their actions.
Calypso is attempting to fall back into good graces by sending copy-pasted positivity asks on mundays to sweep their notoriety under the rug.
This document will contain proof of the above in exhaustive detail under the “readmore”, or if you are viewing this in the public google document form, it will be under the resources.
We are using this as an opportunity to take a firm stance against grooming in the community, and to express our support for survivors. Our goal is to address the circumstances under which it happens with preventive guidelines and trauma-informed resources.
Resources & Education
What does grooming look like? A quick guide written by survivors of abuse within the Pokeask community:
The adult may not approach you with the intention of grooming you.
The objective of grooming is for an adult to turn their bond with a minor into a transactional relationship; circumstances in which the minor is providing something for them— whether that be emotional support or sexual gratification— and normalizes breaking boundaries to do so.
Though they may not realize they are blurring or overstepping your boundaries, the effect is still the same; they are desensitizing you to unfair and inappropriate treatment.
Many adults deal with mental illness, go through hard times, and struggle with loneliness. If you’re acquaintances or friends, you naturally might want to support them, “fix” their problems, or do them favors because they’ve been nice to you or because they’re not being malicious.
But ultimately, prioritizing their wellbeing compromises your own, well-meaning or not. That is what an imbalanced power dynamic looks like, and it is up to the adult to realize this, acknowledge it, and seek out other outlets, resources, people, and help available to them.
A responsible adult does not take advantage of your availability when given the opportunity to do so over other appropriate choices, no matter what.
The adult may expect you to be available at all times.
Guilt-tripping when you do not respond to their messages, spamming your DMs, or demanding that you spend most of your online time with them.
Making time for them might mean you end up spending less time with your friends and become distant from others in your social circle.
A red flag to look for is if they call you their “best / closest friend” over other adult relationships in their life.
The adult may put the burden of their mental health or well-being on you.
This can include constant venting / oversharing, validation seeking, or coming to you when they are in a mental health crisis. This can happen in private dms or in public servers.
Remember, no one individual is responsible for managing a loved one’s mental health, and it is not OK to expect a teenager to intervene when someone is threatening suicide or self-harm. That is for a trained professional to handle.
The adult may invite you into unmoderated spaces with other adults.
They might have “lighthearted” conversations with you or in front of you about sexual content, flirt with you, share explicit images / memes where you can see them, ask to role-play erotic scenarios with your ocs, or draw NSFW / suggestive art of your ocs / sona.
Red flags to look for are adults telling you that you are mature for your age, asking you to keep their interactions with you a secret, or interacting inappropriately with you in voice call so that there is no chat log of what they’ve said.
You do not owe your followers or fans your attention if you feel uncomfortable.
A friendship between two artists or between you and a fan of your work should not involve any pressure to reciprocate gift art, respond to asks, or role-play.
If someone crosses your boundaries based on a perceived parasocial relationship with you, or makes you feel guilty for not interacting with them, you are in your full right to block them.
If you suspect an ask is a covert fetish, such as asking you to draw an overly specific subject or situation, report them to an adult in the community.
Similarly, if someone you are a fan of is crossing your boundaries, take a step back to evaluate whether you would be OK with it if they were not someone you admire.
Just because someone is popular, skilled at art, widely respected, or well-liked does not give them the right to treat you in the ways listed above.
Listen to your gut; if you feel uncomfortable or unsafe, but are doubting your feelings because you look up to the person you’re interacting with, take a step back and tell someone you trust. No friendship is worth being treated this way.

Coming forward about abuse can be re-traumatizing and difficult, but it can also be healing and liberating— It allows for a survivor to be in charge of their narrative and to lead the conversation surrounding their trauma.
Sometimes, it takes years to recognize trauma or past abuse, let alone to be ready to publicly talk about it. It is validating to finally be able to say, “This happened to me. I survived it. I deserved better.” to the world.

Oh… Lucifer felt a little bad, surprising Bijoux like that. He was so used to other Pokemon he approached being pretty unfazed by him being around that it just... slipped his mind in the moment. Whoops.
Thankfully, she regained her composure well-enough and was able to indulge his curiosity- much more than he expected, honestly. She may have felt a little self-conscious about giving such a long-winded response, but he really didn't mind. He had to resist the urge to give an amused huff- talk about deja vu. 'Must be a family thing.'
The whole process of getting admitted into the University sounded pretty complicated. Different levels of school, applications, fitting into certain criteria just to get into specific schools… the whole thing being like some long, convoluted test of character?? Sounded like a headache waiting to happen. But clearly she valued and gained much from the experience- that speech of her's more than proves that, so there must be something to it that he doesn't know…
" I’m really sorry, sir… I just… you know, Mom was telling me that she got to talk to an old friend for the first time in centuries and how good he was at listening and empathizing with her about some of the tougher things on her mind…"
Huh. Loki had been talking about him? Well, now it was Lucifer's turn to be a little embarrassed. He honestly didn't think he had left that much of an impact, but apparently that was not at all the case. A little mercifully, the topic was changed before he could mull on it for too long.
The comment concerning his size didn't bother him much, since it was hardly anything new at this point. His gaze flickered to the stack of books as he considered her question, tail lightly swishing as he thought it over.
"History, maybe? Been around for a while, but that doesn't mean I know everything about stuff, y'know?"
"Hm… guess I'd go with Literature too. Or somethin' like that, I guess. Not really a lot of places I can go to find books."
Rather, there are plenty of places, but getting into libraries without bringing too much attention to himself is kind of a pain regardless of how he looks.

Still, he wasn't trying to make them feel obligated to show him around on such short notice. Maybe another time?
He gives a thoughtful hum in response as they explain how they manage the whole rain issue- which is, as best as they and their partner can, from the sound of it. It does sound like a pain, but the climate here must be temperate enough for that kind of weather to not be something to worry about often? That's what he figures, anyway- the lack of any real covering on the windows he can see from here makes that seem like it could be the case.
He's a little caught off guard by Angel's question towards him, and he can't help an awkward shrug.
"Don't really live anywhere, to be honest. I just... come 'n go as I want and work out where to sleep from there."
Where he's from, such a thing isn't be too uncommon- especially for other Legendaries and Mythicals like him. But, he gets the feeling that's probably not the case here…
"Finding spots t' settle down at can be kinda hard, but I can't complain. 'sa good way to see a lotta places I might not've otherwise, y'know?"

Even though the Eevee's response ended up longer than they anticipated, Lucifer still took note of everything they chose to point out with their impromptu not-quite tour. He would like to see these places a little more up close, but he wasn't trying to cause a fuss… considering these Pokemon even knew what a Mew was, anyway.
The buildings themselves were all a little crudely constructed, at least compared to the human-made things he was used seeing, but there was something of a… nostalgic feel to the entire place. It was totally unlike anywhere he had been before…
"Ah. 'sfine, I don't mind. Sounds like a real nice place to live." As far as he can tell from the brief rundown, anyway.
…huh. They lived off the side of a cliff? Like, open-faced? A Sharpedo-shaped cliff did sound cool, but…
"You guys don't… got trouble with rain, livin' like that?" Storms must be a nightmare, especially since they live so close to the ocean. Eesh…
Luci@Either: "Er... so this whole place is run by pokemon? Like, the shops 'n all that other stuff?" He peers down the road to the town in question, perplexed but still curious nonetheless about the going-ons there. "There any specific places you like goin' to?"
"Yep!! That's Treasure Town, in all its glory!!" Angel gestures in the direction of the town withan extended paw and a big grin.
The two of them are standing on the outskirts (well, one of them is standing, anyway), but even from here, several buildings can be seen, along with Pokemon meandering about. It's a typical sight for the Shiny Eevee, yet one that feels them with the warm sensation of being home.
"There's lots of places we like to visit - the Kecleon Shop's always your best bet if you need some supplies, and the brothers that run it are great to talk to!! The Makuhita Dojo is great if you need some training. Ms. Kangaskhan is really nice and keeps any items you give her safe in storage. Ms. Chansey runs the local orphanage..."
Angel pauses, then laughs.
"Oh, sorry, you asked for specific places, not a whole rundown!! I can give you a tour later if you want. But, uh, besides all that, there's Sharpedo Bluff that's just a bit outside of town on the other side - it's a cliff that looks like a Sharpedo!! That's also where me and my partner live. The view from there is great!!"
"And there's the beach! It's not far from here. We love going there to relax when we get the chance. It's really pretty at sunset!!"
