He needs a booking agent that understands the Asian market better. Asian fans seem to be younger, so less independent money and more dependent on parents. Travel to another country is much more expensive and involved than traveling within Europe. I’m surprised that Wasserman has fumbled this so badly.

I mean this all sounds legit, but what would understanding this change, what can they do? I don't see anything to suggest they don't understand this, probably with loads more detail than we do. It is super clear that the costs of touring Asia are currently just too high for a tour of this size (too big to travel and put on shows cheaply, not big enough to make stadium money to cover that) to actually break even on costs. So doing lots of small shows, as would serve the need you mention, makes the cost per show even MORE, that's not possible; so they tried something else, like can we just do ONE BIG SHOW and maybe people will get to it if it's the only one?? I mean, now we see that didn't work but it was definitely worth a try if the alternative is no Asia shows because of cost- which it pretty clearly is- and I feel like the fact that they bothered is down to Louis hearing the fans and wanting so much to come through. I feel absolutely certain he (AND his team, who have tried so hard to do this in the face of problem after problem) are pretty devastated too, but I can't really see what they could have done differently

Nah. I bet this is just Sony fuckery. Louis probably owes them those Asian dates and they are are just going to drag the whole thing out to lose him fans and decrease the confidence of promoters. It’s nasty but pretty obvious someone has been working to reduce the confidence of promoters that he can sell tickets from the beginning. One of the things being promoted in AoTV was his ability to sell a tour. Louis isn’t even the only member of 1D this is happening to. Liam was never going to do that random Latin American tour, but someone with access signed off on it.

also my opinion is, the blank space loop is only ever going to work in sydney. i think sydney swifties are quite proud of it and for the most part everyone is on the same page so its a lot more cohesive. sydney has just become so ingrained in swiftie consciousness in other cities its not the same.

omg this basil-ginger veggie stir fry with braised tofu was INCREDIBLE I can see this becoming a staple in my quick weekly dinner rotation. I used this recipe but doubled the sauce (except for the sugar), added a bunch of extra veggies + ginger + red pepper flakes + scallions, and made the tofu in the air fryer (my beloved). YUMMMMMMM. I want to check some labels as I suspect that the sauce mix might have a lot of sneaky added sugar (how else could it be soooo rich and decadent) but yeah this one is a KEEPER.
