i only uploaded to yesterday’s remix and now my hubris is catching up to me because i had to send in my laptop for repairs.

I'm not in 100 years reading wind, so what's the nightstar stuff as well as the harelight execution scene?

The Nightstar Stuff is that they're constantly making it clear they KNOW that cats can lie about getting the 9 lives, they KNOW that a murderer can receive the lives, and they KNOW that StarClan has never rejected an evil cat before... but then they handwave it away because they don't wanna do anything.

Nightstar/Nightpelt gets namedropped six times and vaguely alluded to a dozen more, but it means nothing to the story. You could have just forgotten him entirely and the plot would happen the same way.

Most of this book is the leaders finding excuses to sit on their butts, but I really only need to share one exchange to demonstrate just HOW stupid this is,

reading splashtails speech when the protags went to spy on him, I imagined him foaming at the mouth. Especially with how he was described as moving and sounding deranged. He was grinning, his eyes were full blown wide and his tail was lashing like crazy, I bet he was rapidly looking around at all his clanmates, and his claws were extended to their full extent.

the only reassurance that i have that the erins wont kill off squirrelflight before she becomes leader is harpercollins, which is perhaps the strangest sentence i've ever said considering harpercollins rarely does anything good with this series

BUT, my theory is that they know how universally adored squirrelflight has become in the last few years (she was always loved but the moonkitti video on how bramblestar is awful to her definitely made squilf love blow up) and see that if they make her leader they can make more people buy the books, squirrelstar merch, whatever.

this is what im hoping anyway because warriors isnt exactly known for making good plot decisions especially concerning female characters. and especially especially concerning squirrelflight

im so split on frostpaw being spayed because it Is good for feral cats to be spayed/neutered Obviously but also OOH i am Not excited to see how the erins write it into the story .... they already treat female characters who HAVE children awfully im so afraid of what theyre going to do to a female character who CANT have children

Anything important about my dude Flipclaw? He's very silly :)

Flipclaw is actually the one member of the Firekin Family who is NOT important LMAO and that's his whole thing.

His grand-aunt is the vessel of a god. His grandfather is the most competent warrior in ThunderClan and once lifted a beech tree. His grand-uncle is the Cleric and summoned StarClan once. Leafpool discovered the Moonpool. Squirrelflight is the deputy. Thriftear is a rising, young and competent warrior. Bristlefrost died killing an evil angel. His cousin was struck by lightning. Hollylark died tragically young, and yet, his daughter Finchpaw joined a rebellion against a horrible tyrant. Snaptooth and Flywhisker shamefully left the Clans. Ivypool was a Light in the Mist. Dovewing was instrumental in stopping the Dark Forest.

And then there's Flipclaw, and also little "Flamepaw" (i don't redux arcs until they are complete). Flipclaw is just a silly man. Funny special little guy. A family of heroes, and Flipclaw's the one adult who hasn't created some kind of legacy. That's Him!

A STARLESS CLAN THEORY

Note: i haven’t gotten my hands on Wind yet, so if any part of my theory is wrong please don’t spoil the book for me!

So i think that whats going to happen is that not only is Frostpaw going to have to defeat Splashtail, she will have to get some kittypets and just nonclan cats to fight against him. And as well will have to be the one to personally kill splashtail. I think the only clan who would also agree with her would be Shadowclan after convincing them. I think every other clan wouldnt trust her because with what shadowclan showed that its easy for any cat with a grudge to make someone no longer leader + she wont have any support from her clanmates. So what will happen is that she, Nightheart and Sunbeam will go get some rouges and loners to help them defeat Splashtail

this man bee is really interesting. i'm 100% betting on him being one of the park cats who join the clans (the other is waffle, bc wafflepaw). who wanna bet bee and frostpaw are gonna end up together now that splashtail is off the table. i wouldn't be upset about it.

i saw someone on that thread say bee might be riverclan's next leader which is an intriguing theory (and has some merit due to the nature of his dreams), so if frostpaw stayed a healer but said fuck the code for whatever reason we might get some leader x healer badassery. or! it could be the other way around! maybe bee should be mothwing's successor and frostpaw is destined to lead riverclan. either way, power couple. i'd be down.

obvs i'd love for frostwhistle to be endgame but we know the erins!
