“Vikings: Valhalla” Cast Announced
Netflix has announced the cast of Vikings spin-off Vikings: Valhalla. The series will star Sam Corlett, Frida Gustavsson, Leo Suter, Bradley Freegard, Jóhannes Jóhannesson, Laura Berlin, David Oakes, and Caroline Henderson. Recurring characters include Pollyanna McIntosh (Queen Ælfgifu of Denmark) and Asbjørn Krogh Nissen (Jarl Kåre). Vikings: Valhalla is set in the early 11th century, 100 years after Vikings.
Sam Corlett will portray Leif Eriksson, a Greenlander from a tight-knit family.
Frida Gustavsson will portray Freydis Eriksdotter, a believer in the “old gods” and Leif’s sister.
Leo Suter will portray Harald Sigurdsson, one of the last of the Viking berserkers and born of Viking nobility.
Bradley Freegard will portray King Canute, the King of Denmark.
Jóhannes Jóhannesson will portray Olaf Haraldson, an “Old Testament” Christian and Harald’s older half-brother.
Laura Berlin will portray Emma of Normandy, one of the wealthiest women in Europe, of Viking blood, and from the Norman court.
David Oakes will portray Earl Godwin, chief counsellor to the King of England.
Caroline Henderson will portray Jarl Haakon, ruler of the Kattegat and Pagan.
