i'm so glad you agree about rolo... and yes i did mean looks wise. not sure rollo would be able to do any of jesus' bidding. as for athelstan and ragnar as judas and jesus i would like to throw a ringer there and say floki and ragnar instead (maybe because i just watched ragnar begging athlestan to go home with him while touching his thigh)
fascinating. I mean, athelstan does get some major jesus-y imagery. I think you could also make an argument for later seasons ragnar as a kind of jesus figure. but floki? as judas? I dunno, anon...

i started rewatching vikings during easter right... don't you think rollo looks like jesus. especially from the 1979 it makes me feel crazy
oh you're not wrong, rollo does have a hunky jesus look about him, if jesus was a massive glowering whiny baby man. this is also timely because I just got a random comment on this athelstan/ragnar gifset asking if they are jesus and judas (not sure which one is supposed to be jesus and which one is judas in this equation??), so clearly you're not the only one thinking along these lines.
