I love how when the Sinners are asking Nelly why she betrayed them/Heathcliff and Cathy, she responds with "Imagine finding out your entire life is cosmically destined to be spent being the third party to those two's relationship drama" and literally everyone, including Heathcliff, just go "ok yeah, that's fair."

It shouldn't need to be said but I'm seeing a lot of vitriol towards Ashton about their actions and I have to say I don't agree with them.
At the clock tower Fearne brought up the shard, stated that in her opinion Ashton should take the shard because she didn't want it. Ashton decided then as a result they'd take it, but because it was an extreme risk made very aware to them all they knew the other Hells wouldn't allow them to go through with it. Ashton asked Fearne if she was okay with both of them going together alone with the plan, reiterating that they didn't want to put this on Fearne, that if they died Fearne would not be to blame, and that they have no intention of dying, and Fearne said yes.
Fearne having second thoughts at the Ziggurat was just worry, because she cares deeply for Ashton, Ashton kissing her was not manipulation either; it was letting go of fear, having no regret with the person they also care deeply for and taking the risk. And yeah, it was frightening, 10 rounds of perpetual fiery near-death situations and one actual death situation; Laura is fuming, Ashley cannot look, Liam is playing Mad World on loop in his mind, even Matt is completely on edge, but they survived. Accusations that Ashton manipulated Fearne to selfishly take the shard seem to misinterpret the shard saga as well as Fearne and Ashton's characters, they will get a very intense amount of chastising for sure, but it will be out of love, out of the fear that they were going to lose them, not because they thought Ash was manipulative.

Tress scratched the best itch for me, I’ve been craving a good fairy tale and it was just perfect. I kept slipping so hard into the fairy tale aspects that I kept getting caught by surprise whenever a cosmere thing stopped beating around the bush and revealed itself, actually. While I’m sure that wasn’t fully the intention, it was a really fun way to read some brandermansanderman coming fresh off of sunlit man and how intensely locked in I was with the Connections. Genuinely Tress is such a fun little romp. I love girls who sail in fucked up seas and this is a genre I want more of please thank you.

while everyone has the right to raise their child with the ethics they so desire, i do think it’s hilarious when xtians INSIST they aren’t indoctrinating or brainwashing their kids but also refuse to put them in public school (or even private xtian school), only socialize them within xtian circles like youth group or their church’s homeschool co-op, and rigorously vet any secular media so their kids doesn’t “reject the faith.” like uh. if your faith is so weak you have to hide your kids away from anybody on the outside so they never even think to question it…….. it doesn’t exactly sound legit

Another Grant headcanon:
I think he wrote love notes when in relationships, and he went all out with like making the paper scented and stuff. But like he had no good perfume so he ended up using his horrible body spray. So like the lucky boyfriend would like find a paper reeking of the body spray like every once in a while.
Also I think he was someone who fell deep into romance because having a crush and feeling butterflies in his stomach was better than numbness. So he would pursue every crush even if he knew it would not end well because of the thrill of it. I think this sucked but I think he atleast felt like this is a normal way for life to suck.

What’s really frustrating is seeing people say “Tommy should’ve known”/“How did Tommy NOT know about his behavior” and it’s just not something you say? Ever? It’s like asking Shelby how she didn’t see the warning signs. When you’re deep in it— when you’re THAT close to someone— you’re going to not see the red flags that someone on the outside might be able to see. Tommy’s an immature guy and he fucked over Dream, yes. However he’s probably reeling over the realization his “big brother” abused someone.
god, for sure. ive also seen people talk about how "if you saw him manipulating you and your friends why didn't you SAY ANYTHING!!!" and it's just ... i'm sorry uh. do you guys not. understand. like there's a power dynamic? there's a power dynamic here people. that's ,,, part of how manipulation in this manner works. like, i know people are saying this because they don't like the person in question, and while i'm not exactly their biggest fan either, being a shitty person doesn't prevent you from being a victim, and vice versa. like, just because you might not like this person or think that they're a shitty person bc of various reasons doesn't make victim blaming suddenly okay, you know.

HARRY IS THE BABY OF THE GROUP AND THEY FEEL HIM ALMOST DIE AT THE TENDER AGE 12 FROM BASILISK OF ALL THINGS! AND THEN FEEL HIM FULLY DIE AT THE YOUNG AGE OF 17 EVEN IF HE WAS BROUGHT BACK! THE BABY OF THE GROUP STIL DIED!!!
Do they feel Harry almost lost his soul to the dementors protecting Sirius in 3rd year? Imagine how traumatic that was for all the rest of them, to feel their soul, their very BEING slowly slipping away.
It’s one thing, they all soon agree, feeling each other die or get close to it. It’s never pleasant. It’s always traumatizing, but it’s a fact of the lives they all live that they will die or get damn close to it and comeback a surprising number of times.
It’s an entirely other thing when it’s Harry.
He’s the youngest of them, the smallest, the most vulnerable. Still none of them think it’s even a possibility of losing him until they feel the fire in their veins. Until they feel the burning spread from their arm closer and closer to their hearts with every frantic beat. Until they feel the agony of it stealing their breaths and the certainty that their number will be one less.
Until it stops. Leaving just as quickly as it arrived.
Until later when they see Harry with hallow eyes cradling his arm to his chest and tears on his face. Paler than he should be. Like he had lost far too much blood for his still too little body.
“How big did you say a Zolom was again Cloud?” He asked not looking at them. Not looking at anything but whatever horror has nearly killed him at all of twelve years old.
It’s a very different thing when it’s Harry.
They only wish he wouldn’t nearly die so often.

Non-Black “ally”: **Does something antiblack**
Black people: Can you not do that, and treat us with basic respect?
Non-Black “allies”:
“How dare you monkeys ask for basic respect? You’re supposed to be supporting us!”
“They can’t help it their culture is full of antiblackness!”
“It’s ok, (insert person). We accept your apology(even though we’re not black)!”
“Y’all are asking too much of them!”
“It’s always you Black Americans getting offended!”
*Blah, blah, blah, more racist dribble about how black people are supposed to mule for them*
Also the Non-Black “allies”:
