there's a really sad parallel theme running through arya and cat's stories and it's that both of them are considered to be Doing Womanhood Improperly and struggling at how to reconcile their own feelings with the expectations of the people around them...
cat spends her whole life with arguably more power than most women would have due to her atypical life; first, as heir presumptive of riverrun, then, as acting lady of riverrun, and finally, as ned's beloved wife. all of this gives her the freedom to do wild stuff like travel to KL in secret, take tyrion hostage (and outwit him at nearly every turn!), get involved in conspiracies and politics and help raise banners, to use her shrewd mind and her intellect in a way that challenges and excites her....but when ned dies, every single iota of power is stripped from her and handed to robb by law and there's nothing she can do to reign in her fifteen year old son who makes mistake after mistake and drowns out her voice because it conflicts with his....
and as she struggles through her complete loss of power, unable to decide for herself where her path will go, unable to give commands, unable to argue for the safety of her daughters, helplessly watching her father die, arya goes on her own journey that involves a complete loss of power. arya's womanhood is a constant threat looming over her head so she leans into her non conformity to save her own life and fears that her newfound strength and harshness will make her mother turn from her for Being A Lady Incorrectly, never knowing that her mother is so desperate to get her back that catelyn has decided she's through being a proper lady and starts arguing back, starts acting without asking, starts showing her resentment on her face and gets herself banished by her own son...
both of them spend all of the first two books struggling with their womanhood only to have a flashpoint of realizing they can simply stop following the rules because the rules are unfair - from arya's " I am a direwolf, and done with wooden teeth" to catelyn freeing jaime from the dungeons, they realize the Rules of Men will never help them, will never save them, and turn to their own intellect, their own grief, their own cunning and despair and violence, to do what the Rules of Men have never been able to do and that is to keep them as women safe.
And its with each other, I think, that they will only be able to lay down their despair and grief and find both peace and comfort in this new definition of womanhood that they've both carved out for themselves!

Yes, Arya does indeed like flowers. Sansa also likes flowers. Most people like flowers in some capacity. It's not some super-special hyper-individualist personality trait, lmao.
(In my opinion, Arya cataloging the different species of flower she sees on the Kingsroad & being willing to get dirty picking flowers for Eddard is mostly about her inherent connection to & comfort within nature. Arya paid attention to the flowers, yes, but she also paid attention to the animals & the trees & the mud. She’s the Maiden of the Tree. But Arya's connections to these other parts of nature are rarely emphasized the way her connection to flowers is, because they can't be used to over-state her femininity. It's extremely obvious that's what's happening here & I hate hate hate it.)

Trust Shown in the Little Moments
“There’s a guard on the postern,” said Gendry quietly. “I told you there would be.” “You stay here with the horses,” said Arya. “I’ll get rid of him. Come quick when I call.” Gendry nodded.
Arya trusts Gendry not to get cold feet and to be there with the horses after she deals the guard despite his previous complaints.
“I can keep going as long as you can.” she yawned. “Liar,” he said “You keep going if you want to be stupid, but I’m stopping. I’ll take first watch. You sleep.” […] It was no good arguing, Arya realised; Gendry had the right of it.
Arya is only worried about waking up to see that the bloody mummers have caught up to them, she’s not worried about his capability to keep watch and doesn’t try to push that it should be her because she trusts him. It also shows the Gendry cares about her even if it is in a blunt way.
“One of us should watch the horses,” she said, wary. Tom overheard her. “There’s no need for that, Squab. Come eat, they’ll be safe enough.” “I’ll stay,” Gendry said ignoring the singer. “You can come get me after you’ve had some food.��� Nodding, Arya set off after Hot Pie and Lem.
Arya trusts Gendry to watch their horses when they’re in an uncertain place,on his own so she can get some food. It again shows that Gendry cares for her and agrees with her concerns.
The bars were too narrow to pass a cup through, but Harwin and Gendry offer her a leg up. She planted a foot in Harwin’s cupped hand, vaulted onto Gendry’s shoulders, and grabbed the bars on the top of the cage.
It shows a wordless trust that he’ll support her while she’s trying to give some mercy to these men because it’s the right thing to do even though he’s previously said/hinted that he strongly dislikes the actions done by the stark men.

One of the funniest things about Jon Snow is how it’s implied that he goes around bad mouthing people he doesn’t like to his siblings. Like his fourth line of dialogue in the entire series is him calling Theon an ass in front of Bran. And then later when Bran, Theon, and Robb are out there and they meet wildlings, Robb’s like “Jon always said you were an ass”. Which is so funny because you just know that Jon was going around telling Robb “hey your friend sucks make him go away” ajsjbsajs
And then the royal family goes to Winterfell and Jon immediately tells Arya that Joffrey looks like a girl which is ??? And even funnier that Arya later repeats this to Sansa in a very matter of fact way so you know Jon really thought this was an objective truth lmaoo And then there’s that one scene in Arya’s first pov when they’re watching the other boys in the yard and Jon calls Joffrey a little shit, again in a very matter of fact way. And that’s not all, because septa Mordane catches a few strays in that very same chapter I’m crying

A/N: So, I’ve finally convinced my boo thang to watch GOT w/ me and I came up with the idea when I asked him the question after episode 7. I thought some of his ideas were funny and some also might’ve been cool to watch on screen. All fun and jokes though lol
•Khal Drogo & Dany are gonna pull up on the shores for the ending [if only😭]
•The kings gonna die and Joffrey will be king until the other brother (Stannis) pops up like nuh uh “you an inbred baby”
• They’re gonna take Ned captive, but they ain’t gonna kill him [My Poor Sweet Summer Child]
•Sansa will be chillin for a while, but becomes a sort of slave for Joffrey [👀]
•Arya will get away but eventually get found by someone and taken in
•Jon just gonna chill on the wall, he ain’t got no other choice, he made an oath
•Cat gonna get thrown in a cell, or get pissed and get an army an wage a war [I think he was sorta thinking she was gonna pull another tavern/inn stunt]
•Robb and the Northerners gonna be like “Nuh uh. Fight me hoe”
