alright I only have 7 episodes to catch up to the most recent Second Citadel episode and I need someone to spoiler it for me because I will go insane: are Rilla, Arum and Damien ever nice to each other?

before you get mad at me for even asking, I don't mean that they're never nice generally. talking about each other they're kind and loving and very sweet, but I feel like every single time they actually talk with each other, it switches. someone's always annoyed, or angry, or not letting each other apologise and stuff.

idk how I feel about that but I do need to know if it ever changes or if I can stop hoping for it to?

Also known as the Bog Onion or Brown Dragon Arum, the Jack-in-the-Pulpit is a small and highly unusual plant found across much of eastern North America. Growing to be around 60cm (2ft) tall, it bears its tiny flowers between March and June on a long spike-like structure surrounded by a large striped leaf known as a pulpit or spathe (which serves to protect the fragile flowers, provides a surface for pollinators to land on and attracts pollinators with its striking patterns, and which is often mistaken for the plant's flower) and is unusual among plants in that it is a sequential hermaphrodite; young adult individuals produce exclusively pollen-producing "male" flowers, but as they age they begin to produce a progressively larger number of pollen-receiving, seed-producing "female" flowers, with all of the flowers on older individuals being "female." The curved internal structure of the pulpit makes it difficult for insects to leave it the way they entered it, and as the "sex" of a Jack-in-the-Pulpit changes throughout its life, its reproductive strategy also changes; the pulpits of young individuals have small openings on their underside that allow their pollinators (mainly small flies, but also certain beetles) to leave and carry the plant's pollen away from it, but in older "female" individuals, in what is assumed to be an adaptation to ensure that any pollen carried into the pulpit is transferred to the flowers, the pulpit has no such opening, trapping the insects permanently and making this species a very rare example of a plant that kills its pollinators. As a defence against herbivorous animals the leaves and stems of Jack-in-the-Pulpits are poisonous and lined with tiny needle-like calcium structures called raphides which cause painful irritation and aid the toxins in entering the tissues of animals that bite or crush the plant, although following pollination "female" flowers develop into small red berries that, after ripening and falling from the plant, can be safely eaten by birds and certain small mammals, allowing the seeds within to be transported away from their parent in the animal's digestive system. Young Jack-in-the-Pulpits are mature enough to bare flowers at around 3 years of age, and enter a state of dormancy in which their leaves and aboveground stems die back each autumn/fall, rapidly re-growing in the spring with the help of a nutrients-filled extension of their roots called a corm. While all populations of Jack-in-the-Pulpits were historically regarded as belonging to a single species, genetic evidence now suggests that they are likely a species complex (a group of very closely related and near-identical species that are difficult to reliably distinguish from one another,) made up of at least 4 distinct species with a possible 5th species being recognised by some authorities.

I want the people in the second citadel to have all these rumors about the witch who keeps a monster around her hut. I want the supposed witch on the outskirts of town who makes funky medicine with funkier plants to have a lizard husband who grows said funky plants for her. I want them to just exist out there. I want Damien to get super injured and have to go to rilla cuz she's got all these incredible healing stuff and the second citadel doctors just can't deal w him. I want a Damien who's mostly super out of it n shit and can't help but sit there, half drunk, waxing poetic abt them both as they both help tend to his wounds. I want Arum and rilla to fall slowly in love w him and then feel guilty abt it cause they already have a partner. I want some heart-wrenching confession to happen between them where theyre both so scared on how the other will react. I want them to cry in relief that they both feel the same way. I want them to make fun of each other when one of them is staring at an unconscious Damien for too long even tho they were staring too. I want them to conspire together on how to tell Damien. I want them to comfort each other, both of them so scared to tell Damien, but knowing that at least they'll always have each other. I want them to finally get up the courage to tell Damien and they're so focused and excited that they kinda forget that Damien is so high on sedatives when he tells them that he likes them too. I want Damian to be so out of it at the time that he doesn't remember any of it. I want Damien feeling guilty abt liking them both cause now Arum and rilla are more touchy feely romancy w him now that they know he likes them and Damien doesn't remember any of it. I want a v flustered Damien because 'saints- these two hot creatures seem to be hitting on me but they're already together so it must be a joke'. I want Damien to end up 'confessing' to them both, expecting them to kick him out for getting between them. I want Arum and rilla to stare blankly at him and hesitantly tell him 'y.. yeah we know. aren't we already dating?' I want a v e r y confused Damien sputtering and being flustered, being very much not aware of that fact until rilla and Arum realize their mistake. I want them to communicate n shit and then just fuckin cuddle together and fluster Damien. thank you for coming to my Ted talk
