there's so much i love abt your art, but your backgrounds especially always blow me away - could i ask if there's any tips/resources you have or use when drawing them :0

i think Thomas Romain's tips are helpful, compiled on this page (here), particularly the part where he draws a 2D plan of his background and extrapolates it.
i also like to look through Ikea catalogues i've collected, but they don't send those out anymore... they do have a simplified page (here)
