This is an Ask blog for Bloodbath.
Due to people requesting BB asks be separated from the comic/art, and me wanting a cleaner blog for my art anyhow, I’ve made an ask sideblog!
You can ask about anything here. Bloodbath related questions, artist related questions, etc. You can even ask the BB!cast questions! I’ll try to draw for these :)
I have no idea what else I’ll use this blog for. I’m just swagging it out

number 8 for ask game!!
8. What's an old project idea that you've lost interest in
ooo ok every ask that comes with an 8 ill reveal an old wip how abt that
OK so like you know these three comics back in 2021
[PART 1] - [PART 2] - [PART 3]
Had plans of this being a series with a part 4 maybe a part 5 and so on... The main goal of each comic being to reveal at least one (1) fact about c!Slime in each of em:
1 Regeneration - C!Slime, and all slimes alike have regenerating abilities. They cannot get permanently damaged physically - only if they were either exposed to extreme heat, extreme cold or any effect that would greatly change the chemistry of the slime.
2 Nametag - Origin story as to how the guy got its name from c!Slime to c!Charlie.
3 Another Life - Personal headcanon that every character has vague memories of their lives across other serieses. In this one c!Wilbur recalls his lives with c!Charlie from Tommy's Mod Squad episodes.
[ASK]
Purpose Part 3 was also to introduce Wilbur to the plot important for the next two parts.
4 - Wilbur's POV again, entry of his observations of an 'old friend' Charlie in these 'new situations' (dsmp, Las Nevadas). He notes this Charlie acts a lot more differently and there's something off about it.
5 - Wilbur calls Charlie to meetup at the Burger Van at the dead of night to confront it - not only on its behaviour but the body he found lying dead in the forest by Charlie's hand. Charlie drops the facade its been putting up revealing that it knows more about everyone and the server that it lets on... The comic ends with a standoff between the two, Charlie swearing that it will make sure Wilbur goes no where near Quackity and Las Nevadas. He knows of the damages Wilbur has done - it will not happen again.
SKDVDKF but ultimately I scrapped all that when the Nov 27 Las Nevadas stream happened X]]c It debunked almost everything I had planned and personally would not have been proud of the direction I would have written Slime www (I liked the canon better anyway)

Artist ask game: 4 - favourite subject that's a bitch to draw
In general? Anthros/furries. I enjoy drawing them a lot but I'm a LOT less practiced at them than I am humanoids! So paws, digitigrade legs, animalistic facial features, etc. are REALLY hard for me, but I enjoy it.
(The peacock is an adoptable that now belongs to @mirateski!)
More SPECIFICALLY though? My current Pathfinder character, Tiefling Fighter/Alchemist- Agon.
He's COVERED in scars (only one is super specific, though) he's got a clockwork prosthetic arm, he's got piercings I always forget, his tail is a bitch, AND he's got digitigrade legs which, spoiler, I'm still not good at, LOL! (He's also a very mobile, high acrobatics character with a lot of energy and expression, so lots of ACTION poses and EXTREME faces.)
Did I mention that his eye and skin color changed, on TOP of him getting a clockwork arm?
So he's got a lot of things that make him a bitch to draw, but also I LOVE drawing him and do so frequently (search "agon" in my tags and you'll get a smorgasbord of this nerd.)
Anyway, YEAH! That's my answer for this one! LOL!

1. Favourite works of all time excluding your own? I think my most favorite would always be Van Gogh's 'Sunflowers'. he has a few of them but this is the one i mean:
My grandma had a print of this painting in a big fancy frame and as a kid i loved to look at it. There wasn't much art around in general in my parents house or anywhere else, only my grandma had art around.
I had no idea it was a print and not a real painting since my grandma had a lot of other real paintings around, most of them presents from artist friends. So i just assumed this one was painted by someone she knew. Had no idea who Van Gogh was or his famous paintings, i remember i used to wonder who Vincent was since it was written on the vase 😂
This was the painting that made me want to get more into drawing. I've always liked drawing but i only realized i wanted to do it better when i would sit and try to copy this painting and it just didn't look right.
I've never loved another artwork like i love those sunflowers.
2. Biggest artist pet peeve? Artists insulting their own work (and aggressively fishing for compliments).
I have been guilty of looking down on my work and still fight with the urge to be upset at my own skill and abilities. Things could always have been done better and you could have always spend more time on something.
You can't expect and demand people to praise you just to be able to find self-worth in your own work. you have to find that yourself. even if its hard. Its not anyone's job or responsibility to make you feel better about your own art and if you get upset because u don't get that, then you need to take a step back.
3. Weirdest thing you’ve ever drawn? God, i wonder. I won't include nsfw themed stuff cause anything could be weird depending on who you're talking to.
I've always just drawn people or silly little things i found fun or cute so there isn't anything that i could pinpoint as weird. but in terms of being the strangest method of drawing that i've only had the opportunity to try out once - it was linocut art.
i absolutely loved it and it was so fun and turned out so much prettier than i expected. don't really have the time or space to do that. i used to know someone who studied art and she would share her leftover materials from projects with me and thats how i got to even know about this or try it.

To me, bad jokes are more valuable than full-fledged works.
Well, I also love works that force me to work a little harder so that they look the way I approximately see them.
In fact, there are more of these, but the limit is 5 works, but I want to highlight this comic. It's special in that I had to learn from myself for every frame. There is still something warm in him from the day I painted him…
5. Anything you haven’t drawn yet but want to?
At least one full-fledged work on the fandom that I like, but I couldn’t even sketch something out. There are so many of them…
6. Which artists inspire you right now?
No one now. I'm in a period of decline. It will be a miracle if I even like anything, let alone get inspired.
But I want to highlight the person who immediately comes to mind. I'm glad I once came across the work by @constantinnen

6. What's your least favorite thing to draw?
Mechanical stuff that requires a lot of detail. I can do it, I need a bunch of references and diagrams, but if I never have to draw a complex mechanical thing, I will be happy
8. Do you draw professionally, or just for fun?
Both! I’m a caricature artist, trying to break into Storyboarding, and I’ve done Background Art for an animated series
I also do it for fun! This blog is 90% fanart and stuff I draw because I WANT to.

Alani... I love her... but she's never consistent in her style... *sigh* maybe I just lack practice? 🤔
9. What are your file name conventions?
I mostly name my files after the characters depicted.
There are "Alani", "Alani 1" and "Alani 2" when I have various pictures of the same character.
When doing commissions I often name the file after the client and/or their character...
14. Any favorite motifs?
Even though I don't draw them that often anymore... (romantic) couples illustrations ... I don't know why or when I stopped? I should pick that back up... I liked to portray the interactions of characters, being it as friends or lovers.

recently ive been listen-watching suck session and i just finished that, now im just listening to the little mermaid (2023) part of your world, reprise and reprise II on loop
26. What's a piece that got a wildly different interpretation from what you intended
not exactly wildly different but i love it when my friends go "ooh i like how this thing you did here is a symbolism for this" and im just like [sweating] "yep thats exactly what i intended and not an accident"

Hi! I have a question regarding the artist signup: I haven't settled on a specific idea for an original art piece yet - Is it okay if I just list my possible supernatural foci instead?
Hi! Yes! That’s completely fine! We’ve had people sign up in the past planning to do one thing and when they sat down to work, the muse went a completely new and different direction. So no worries at all!!!

When will the hiatus be over?
My course ends tomorrow so hopefully soon 🥺 Although I’ll still have work and over adult life stuff so please be a little more patient. 30. What piece of yours do you think is underrated
gsfdjkhg That's really tough.
I wish my Deck of Many Things illustrations garnered more attention for sure. It's a lot of me going out on a limb stylistically
I'm also super proud of this piece where I tried doing a screenshot style piece of a scene from our Pathfinder game
Was stupid proud of it but it didn't get as much interaction as I'd hoped.
But I find that to be the norm! My favorite pieces are rarely the faves of everyone else! I'm used to it!
