Okay, I thought this was universal but maybe my last three therapists were right that it is not:
Is it normal for boredom to be truly unbearable?
As in, worse than anything else, would rather get eviscerated while fully conscious, will do anything to escape it which might actually include suicide if no satisfactory options are available?
#it's bad#and no it's not 'when you aren't distracted you're forced to experience existing pain'#I'm not generally suicidal. There are a lot of things I enjoy and want to do. I have plenty of problems but I tend not to care about them.#I do have things to do. Usually even if I don't want to do anything I can entertain myself since I can't switch my brain off anyways.#Literally infinite things to think about#The problem is when none of it feels interesting or exciting enough. Which doesn't make any sense at all.#If I'm unbearably bored and a friend makes the mistake of talking to me I get really toxic. It is a problem.#Usually I have great self control when it comes to destructive or toxic behaviors but not so when I want to end it all because nothing is#interesting enough.#It's like 'if I do something really extreme I'll stop because bored'#Bad things happen...#Or I try to overdose or slit my wrists#better yet is when I try to get myself killed because suicide isn't good enough.... great reasoning (disappointed)#I met three of my ex boyfriends that way#Note to self to stop fucking men i get in knife fights with PLEASE#it is ALWAYS a bad idea. Has never turned out well.#Invariably they always either have anger management/impulse control issues or they're just arrogant jerks who want to be tougher than you#sometimes both#Man really rambling in the tags here. I’d say Kon is 50% jay and 50% Kai
#Kon is blue and red to me.#he’s brash and impulsive like Kai#kon believing he’s meant to be Superman and Kai wanting to be the green ninja is kinda the same#they’ve got confidence/arrogance and are protective#also I think about the scenes where Kai sends out a chirp and the scene where he looks at his action figures of himself#that’s kon core to me#Kai definitely has more of that rage and anger tho#and early Kai in pilots was like not receptive to being on a team#oh this just making me love Kai again#anyways#but he’s also like jay bc he too is a bit of a bastard in severe need of character development#both Kai and jay kind of flirty? but Kai flirts w many people while jay really only did it with Nya#I think his humor fits Kai’s more maybe but w some of jays#I can’t tell actually#anyways yeah early kon and early jay suffer from the curse of male writers whose misogyny bleeds Thru#but I like them anyways they’re pathetic boy swag captivated me#also I think kons arc w immaturity fits jay more?#mmm also both Kai and jay kind of have to learn to think about others#which ig kon does too but he never was really selfish to me#self conceited tho hell yeah#I could talk about my blorbos forever#I meant THEIR IN ONE TAG NOT THEYRE

I am saying it now that I really do truly love alphinaud a great deal, and can also say in the same breath that he was an insufferable child whom I did not like
#that’s the power of a character arc baby!#to be fair I don’t think they ever planned to take it in a way that would lead him to be an antagonist or even villain#bc it would be so easy to see how far his good intentions could take him into some dark places#pride goeth before the fall#but yeah I could only ever see him as a villain in him being manipulated or so prideful and arrogant to where it’s bad#but yeah. he’s a little shit in ARR#eyrie gives him what for after the bloody banquet#and still holds onto some resentment through HW#it falls by the wayside as eyrie puts their anger second to taking care of alphinaud#but it’s a cold relationship#alphinaud is my funny little guy#there’s a reason I can’t pick between the twins

the scene of liam collapsed onto the forest floor in front of scott sobbing about how he’s scared of what’s happening to him not because of the fangs or the claws but because he thinks his parents already view him as a monster breaks me a little inside every time.
