I can't believe this took me half a year. It turned out my leather was way too thin.

But I held on to the flatness Pipa pipa in my heart until I obtained some that's more suitable for a bookmark.

I have no idea of how interested people in here would be in this kind of stuff, but I recently started trying to find some old YGO websites on the Wayback Machine (like Geocities stuff from the very early 2000s plus some news sites and some peoples' personal blogs) and started putting some archive links to them on Fanlore!

It's not all of the ones I found, but I tried putting only ones that were still kinda readable (some had some stuff on WM but were too broken).

There is some cool stuff in there, I recomend some exploring to anyone who was in the fandom back then and wants to reminisce about it, or is just curious like me to see how people did fandom stuff before all fandoms kinda migrated to the same 7 sites.

Here is the book I said I would post, my first attempt at a dos a dos binding. Considering I was mostly winging this, I'm pretty pleased with how it's turned out. One side is lined notebook paper and the other is sketchbook paper.

I also got a hot foiling pen for Christmas and thought I'd see how it works on bookcloth for this bind and it worked pretty well, just have to see how it holds up over time.

#first bind of 2024! even though i started it last year #i think this really shows how much my skills have grown #i maybe wasn't as meticulous with this bind as i might usually be considering it was mostly experimental #but it still looks really clean!#my spines are a little bit wonky but that often happens when i leave too much bulk from sewing the headbands #anyway. feels nice to have this done especially after feeling so shit recently.#please ignore the cat hair this bookcloth is like a magnet for dust and such #bookbinding #dos a dos binding

some of my house do'urden appearence HCs. i like the appearence of lolth's kiss but im not super fond of their explanation in the visual dictionary, so in my head theyre more like birthmarks that are simply more likely to appear on udadrow and got given religious significance later
