Thanks for the tag on this one, @shychick-52! (Update: And @writebackatya.)
how many fics do you have on ao3?
12.
what's your total ao3 word count?
69,172.
what are your top five fics by kudos?
The Power of Three
Bridging the Gap
We Could Bring You a Hamburger…
One Night Ultimate Duck (Or Hummingbird, or Parrot)
Duckverse June 2023 Prompts (yes, it’s a story collection, but it still counts)
what fandoms do you write for?
DuckTales 2017, mostly, a bit for Super Sentai, did one for the Netflix show Dash & Lily, and I have a couple ideas of fics relating to other shows.
do you respond to comments? why or why not?
Yes! Someone took time out of their day to read my stuff and leave their input on it, and the least I could do is show my appreciation for it in return, and elaborate on any questions they may have.
what's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Shit, I’m really not good with ending stories on a down note; I try to make the endings as satisfying as possible. But I’d say the closest thing to that is for my 6th Webby Week story, Am I Good Enough? (An Internal Battle). It’s basically just Webby wrestling over being chosen by the Papyrus in her mind. Even though it doesn’t end on an outright fairy tale note, she does recognize that it’s okay to not have something that big figured out immediately, and that it’s good to talk about it with other people if you have trouble processing it.
what's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
That’s a tough one. There are probably certain stories I’ll discuss in later answers, so for this one, I’ll go with We Could Bring You a Hamburger…. I mean, it’s just a sweet, simple story about something that absolutely should’ve been shown in canon (Webby getting her first hamburger). It’s just a good, satisfying, slice of life kinda thing.
do you get hate on your fics?
Well, on the second chapter of The Power of Three, I got somebody telling me that Huey shouldn’t be guilty over going against his general Woodchuck instinct and leaving Violet behind, and that he should be jealous and upset with Violet and Lena for insulting him and making him feel miserable. Jesus.
do you write smut?
No. I honestly don’t think I’d be good at it. Especially regarding a show like DuckTales. If I were to, it’d probably be wayyyyy down the road.
do you write crossovers? what's the craziest one you've ever written?
Not actively; if I write something with multiple fandom tags on AO3, it’s mostly because minor elements of one thing are peppered into my DT story.
have you ever had a fic stolen?
No. Thank god.
have you ever had a fic translated?
No, but that’d be interesting.
have you ever cowritten a fic before?
Yes; I started working with @sisiwritesfanfics on her Super Sentai Couples One-Shot Collection beginning with the second story. We’re currently trying to work on the third.
what's your all time favorite ship?
I don’t know, probably Fendra? But I generally prefer fanworks of them more, especially when stories go more in-depth regarding their relationship than we got in canon. There are others in DuckTales, and other pieces of media, that I really enjoy, though.
what's a wip you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?
At the moment, none. But there are a couple idea that I have that I don’t know if I’d ever start.
what are your writing strengths?
Dialogue, especially between two characters, and being able to really get into characters’ minds.
what are your writing weaknesses?
Writing full-on angst. I can incorporate bits of angst into stories, especially when it’s introspective, but a full story of it just wouldn’t be my thing (so, way longer than Am I Good Enough?). Also, losing motivation at certain points in time.
thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
I’ve done bits of gratuitous Spanish or Latin in my stories before, but no full-on dialogue. But I did provide the translated Spanish dialogue between Fenton, Gosalyn, and Webby in @writebackatya’s story Let’s All Go to the Movies!.
first fandom you wrote for?
Technically speaking, I did a piece based on Wreck-It Ralph back in high school for my creative writing class. So that, I guess.
favorite fic you've ever written?
Massive toss-up for me here. The Power of Three is special because it was my first fic, and it focuses on the budding dynamic between Huey, Violet, and Boyd, which absolutely should have been explored in the show. But my other major early idea for a DuckTales story turned into Bridging the Gap. Gandra isn’t written nearly as often alongside Huey, and we only really got a resolution of her relationship with Fenton (amongst main and major recurring characters) in the show, so I wanted to build on the pieces we got between Gandra and Huey in her episodes, which culminated in what I still think is my absolute favorite scene I’ve written. I think the overall edge goes to Power, but Bridging isn’t far behind in my heart.

For ao3 wrapped: 3, 10, 11, 12, 28, 29
3. What work are you most proud of (regardless of kudos/hits)? I think it’s probably a tie between this one and this one.
11. What work took you the longest to write? The one I’m about to start publishing. I’ve spent the last 6 months rewatching the series and writing a fic to parallel it, and what started as a tiny idea morphed into a 45k monstrosity. It’s finally done and just needs to be proofread and I’m planning to start posting chapters next week so it’s fully published before the S6 premiere.
But for fics I actually published in 2023, probably this one because it’s a tricky topic and I wanted to do it justice, and it took me a long time to figure out how.

Helloo :)
3, 27, 29 for ao3 wrapped :))
Thank you so much for the ask! <3 Please enjoy my answers below
3. What work are you most proud of regardless of kudos/hits?
Oh that’s a difficult one! It changes a lot depending on how I’m feeling to be honest. Baiting the Trap as a series will always be something I’m incredibly proud of but I love Deliverance too, and some of my fics that don’t have as many hits/kudos are very much amongst my favourites. I’m very proud of (Im)patience is a Virtue as well as A slow advancing tide so I think they are both my answers for now :)
27. What do you listen to while writing?
I used to listen to a lot of music while writing, but I don’t necessarily do it as much anymore. Mostly because I end up tuning it out and not hearing any of the words so I'm more likely to put something on when I need background noise. Though sometimes I’ll listen to classical music, or gaming soundtracks (the Witcher 3 has some great pieces), or I’ll find an hour long loop of a song I’m really enjoying.
That said if anyone’s got any music recommendations I am always looking for new music to listen to!
29. Favorite line/passage you wrote this year
This one from Unofficial Business:
Dream is curled up under black sheets; not huddled, but leaning, testing the crutch of resting to see if it suits, sinking into the pillows. He’s sinking into it like waves pulling a ship beneath the sea, greedy not for softness but for novelty. It’s white skin displayed like sheets of ice against sheets of black, pink lips curving, a shade too dark for the quartz of his blush. Dream’s hair is tousled as ever, delicate and soft and oh; this is pleading, begging the Corinthian to come closer, to get hands on him, to get fingers in his hair.
And this one from In Silence:
The porous texture of bone is hunger, after all, only felt as dry because of how it sucked moisture. It’s a bleed through that Dream could take all the way, he could raise fingers to his lips and bite, could drip blood into his creations skeletal mouth and let the Corinthian drink deep.

19. What’s one pairing you want to explore next year?
Ooh! Martyn+Cleo still make me kinda insane tbh. I like them as two annoyances but they can’t be torn apart because they’re soulmates and they’re attached to each other but they also hate each other in a love way <3
Other than that… really want to write Stress+False. Need to come up with some fun scenarios for them (*looks at the Precure AU*). They are sooooo sillygoofy and cute <3
Thanks for the ask Ivi! <3

Thanks for the tag, @justaboot!
how many fics do you have on ao3?
22!
what's your total ao3 word count?
171,863
what are your top five fics by kudos?
You're the Inspiration, The Heart of This Star-Crossed Voyager, Circumstances and Control, Wait, What? and A Definitely Real Man
what fandoms do you write for?
Mostly DuckTales (2017), and occasionally the Topolino duckverse comic.
do you respond to comments? why or why not?
Most times! It makes me really happy to engage with somebody who took the time to leave a comment!
what's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Hands down, There Was Never Grey In Black and White. It's one of the few Mad Ducktor stories I have. I really wanted to do a deep-dive character analysis on that one and explore the tragedy of his character.
what's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
That's a hard one! I try to have all of them end on a happy note. When it comes to angsty stories tho, I really try to make sure the happy endings are good and earned... so, I'll have to go with Who Am I?
do you get hate on your fics?
No, thank goodness! I've gotten some harsh criticism on a chapter of one of my stories, but I wouldn't quite call it hate.
do you write smut?
No, not generally. Both reading and writing smut makes me very uncomfortable, especially for cartoon characters (I know not every other ace/sex-repulsed person feels that way, tho). I did, however, write a spicy fenro story once. But it wasn't straight smut for the sake of it, it was very tender and hurt/comfort.
do you write crossovers? what's the craziest one you've ever written?
No, for the most part I can't stand crossovers. Unless it was logical, like Count Duckula crossed with DuckTales.
have you ever had a fic stolen?
No, thank goodness!
have you ever had a fic translated?
Nope, but it would be neat!
have you ever cowritten a fic before?
Yup, the amazing @wacky-nameless-inventor-24 co-wrote a chapter in two of my stories, respectively.
what's your all time favorite ship?
FENRO. I will die with that ship.
what's a wip you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?
I have a couple of unfinished wips on FF.Net- a Darkwing Duck story that's over a decade old, and an Inside Out fic. I just lost inspiration for them and nobody reads them anymore, so XD
what are your writing strengths?
Dialogue and descriptive language (especially metaphors and similes).
what are your writing weaknesses?
Run-on sentences! I have a hard time making my sentences shorter; I may overuse dashes, brackets, and semi-colons.
thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
Sadly, English is my only language.
first fandom you wrote for?
Sonic the Hedgehog, specifically the 90s cartoon of the same name (commonly known by the fandom as SatAM). That was way back in high school!
favorite fic you've ever written?
Who Am I? holds a very special place in my heart. It was my first DT story, and my love letter to my favorite episode 'Astro B.O.Y.D.', a love letter to Gyro (and the father-son relationship we hardly saw anything of in the third season). It's very angsty, taking even more inspiration from the 'Astro Boy' anime and manga the episode lovingly parodied, and focusing on the darker points of the lore.

2, 8, and 11 for the ao3 asks!
2 - How many fics did you post this past year?
I posted five! but one of those fics was nine chapters long, so technically I updated sixteen times XP
8 - What's your favorite work you posted this past year?
oh man that's a hard one. I don't post on Ao3 a whole lot, so I feel like everything I post is something I worked very hard on and thus I'm pretty attached to like. everything lol. For example, you might be expecting me to choose TCAMT because it's all I talk about on here XD but I think I'm going to go with In The City That We Love because it got me out of a TERRIBLE writing block, and also it has some really sweet moments in the midst of the emotional mess the characters are all going through. also I'm very attached to that AU. I should really update it lol
11 - Do you have playlists for your fics/wips?
I DON'T 😭 but I have playlists for various hyperfixations if that counts??? *checks Spotify* hmm I do have a playlist for a really old fic that didn't get anywhere past the planning stage ...

18 and 28 for ao3 asks please?
18: Samuel Coe(starfield), that man can be mysterious sometimes and I am not always confident when writing him. He is a tricky lil guy. 28: My first real piece in a decade! Neon City Delights ~! This story was so clear in my head, and I had so much fun writing it. It had everything I love! Club scene, fighting scene, angst, saving the day!
Thank you for asking!

For the new ask game, 9, 16, and 23? 💖
9) Ruthari or Ethari and Runaan from The Dragon Prince. They are so fun to write fluff for.
16) "DO NOT COPY TO ANOTHER SITE OR APP" is tied with "I wrote this instead of sleeping" the two sum up my ao3 existence.
23) None are public, but 2 friends and I wrote out an original horror story script that I might flesh out fully sometime next year.

Thank you Cake!!
7) If you use song lyrics, which artist’s songs did you pull from the most?
So I don't use song lyrics in my stories but I definitely use them (and song names) as titles or just by mentioning the song itself in the story. ABBA is definitely the band I've mentioned the most xD
17) Your favorite character to write this year?
Copia! And probably to be specific Cardinal Copia. I have so much fun writing him into all sorts of situations.
27) What do you listen to while writing?
It really depends! I have specific playlists I've made for The Cardinal's Bride and Copia on ICE!. Otherwise I have a lot of different ones for types of fics to help set the mood (Dark/moody songs, spicy ones for smut writing, etc). Although a lot of times I'll just listen to synthwave playlists because lyrics can be too distracting when I'm writing.

47 and 48 for the ask game?
47. Shout out an incomplete fic you read this year
A very fun, dramatic as hell Pacific Rim fic, The Hosanna Anteversal was a surprise return to my inbox!! This is what the sequel film was probably lowkey inspired by - at least the full series of it. Done incredibly incredibly well, the slowburn is beautiful, the kaiju world is AMAZING, the ocs are SO WELL BUILT !!! When it reappeared in my inbox, obviously I had to hop back in and reread it <3
48. Oldest fic you read this year
In a Moment of Tribulation by my dearest friend @iguessyouregonnamissthepantyraid, I read Sam's time loop fic, and remembers how DANG MUCH I love their work - and proceeded to go through and read everything that sounded interesting and was short enough to read in a night (which was a lot!!) and this one takes the cake. A very sweet, terror filled adventure for a show I haven't even watched. but Sam's work is a GIFT SO !!! well worth it

6. Favorite title you used Solace. Coming up with titles is the worst and I hate it. This was one of the few times I didn’t struggle with it and I just feel like this one word encapsulates the fic so well.
10. What work was the quickest to write? Never in the history of writing have I written anything quickly 😂. But I guess probably this one, given that I somehow managed to publish it just 2 days after the episode aired.
12. How many WIPs do you have in your docs for next year? Oh gosh. If we’re counting every half-baked idea for a fic even though I’ve only written a few lines then… like 25? If we’re talking fics that might reasonably see the light of day then probably about half that.
18. The character that gave you the most trouble writing this year? Tim. Which is weird for me, because he’s also the character I relate to the most (although Lucy is a close second in that regard). The complexity of his trauma and his emotions is my favorite thing about him, but it can also be difficult to untangle. Also, the fact that he’s not the most vocal person in the world sometimes makes it difficult to write dialogue while keeping him in character.
23. Did you do any collaborative works this year? I did not, although I’m hoping @queseraone is still interested in the collab we’ve briefly talked about doing because I think it would be so much fun!
28. Favorite work you wrote this year? Not gonna lie, I had a lot of fun writing this one.
29. Favorite line/passage you wrote this year? I think it’s a tie between these two (which are from the same fic just a few paragraphs apart): Their eyes meet and her breath catches in her throat, because she’s never seen him so vulnerable. The mask he’s been wearing since this afternoon has slipped away completely and the only thing left is pain, raw and visceral and tearing him apart from the inside out. -and- He sinks into her and she tightens her grip, holding him together as he finally allows himself to fall apart.

6) What's your favorite title you've used this year?
I honestly have no idea, I'm terrible at titles... A lot of the ones I used for firstprince week, especially every time I got to use Spanish or Latin! Including Just a Little Monteverde Misadventure, Muñequita Linda, La Llorona, and In Memoriam. I'm also throwing Fall from a Shooting Star on this list because it's the best (only?) song-inspired title I've ever used.
30) What's your biggest surprise been while writing this year?
A few plot twists (including one I'm about to write into the end of my Advent fic), but the biggest surprise has been writing for the RWRB fandom!!! Me falling in love with the book was a surprise in and of itself, but before that, I'd pretty much lost a lot of my writing inspiration and was going through the motions, but thanks to RWRB, I got that spark back! Plus, this fandom... Much as I love my first fandom, I couldn't ask for a better second fandom, I really couldn't. There are so many kind and talented people here!!

3. What work are you most proud of (regardless of kudos/hits)?
Ooooh I think it has to be me finishing the divorce fic - it's been two years in making 😭 it's crack and unserious but also... oddly sincere? And of course a riot to write and sneak in references (especially 2021 era references) ^_^
False knew something was wrong when she went to get groceries and saw a red-eyed Martyn hopelessly clinging onto Rendog™ merch (read: the Red Winter scarf). She awkwardly approached him. “Hi.” Martyn looked like a ghost. An unguided hand. A very sad looking block of ice. A depressed blue glowstick. His eyes were puffy. False suddenly felt a sense of solidarity with him. “Ren left you too, didn’t he?” A barely perceptible nod. Martyn’s lips parted. “He… he told Doc that he loved him,” he whispered. False was not remotely surprised, but she patted Martyn’s back. “There, there,” she soothed. “It’s gonna be alright. You’ll be fine without him. Better, even.” “Excuse me,” snipped a particularly irritated customer at the build mart, “you’re blocking my way. Are you guys gonna get in line?” Martyn burst into tears. “That’s what he said!!” False ushered Martyn to the cashier, helped him pay for his items, and invited him home for a nice cup of tea.
Thanks for the ask! <3

4, 7, 8 & 11 for the ask game ! [also hiii this is mari <3]
Hi Mari! <3 Thank you for asking!)
4. How many published works are you leaving unfinished going into the new year?
2 - "Hooked Swan" and "The Cure For Loneliness". Not sure they will be ended soon)
7. Share a line/paragraph/snippet that you were especially proud of from a work this year!
There are many of them) I chose this from "Hooked Swan")
Looking around, Killian discovered the large rocks, and a plan came to mind. Approaching the helm, he ordered Smee to stand aside, took control of the ship and directed it towards the rocks. The beating of his heart was fast, pulsing in his temples, while Hook, staring at the horizon, tried to calculate every move. There was no room for error; otherwise they would make a sieve out of his ship, and all his people who relied on him would die. He just couldn't let them down. He couldn't let Emma down. And the enemy ship was getting closer.
"On my command, shorten sail and drop anchor!" shouted Killian. "Load the cannons with chain shot!"
He noticed the sailors exchanging puzzled glances, probably thinking he was mad, but they took up their positions without objection. Turning the ship so that Jolly began to circle the rocks around, Killian expectedly lost the hunter frigate behind them.
"Shorten sail! Drop anchor!" shouted Killian.
The captain watched as Jolly's wings folded, heard the anchor hitting the water with a slap and waited for the moment of braking, but inertia kept pulling them forward.
"Come on, come on," Killian whispered urgently, his voice pleading. "Don't fail me, my love."
8. What's your favorite work you posted this past year?
I can repeat it once again but now with more confidence: "Hooked Swan" !
11. Do you have playlists for any of your fics/wips?
No. While writing, I usually listen to something that suits the mood of current work or current moment or a playlist "Piano music for writing". But maybe I'll make special playlists one day.

5, 7, and 14 for the AO3 wrapped ask game!!
5 - What fic surprised you with how much interaction it got this past year?
this one for SURE. I expected it to get a couple hundred views, maybe?? and instead it has 1200 hits and a weirdly surprising amount of kudos for something I wrote in an AU that exists solely in my friend group. Glad people are enjoying it lol
7 - Share a line/paragraph/snippet that you were especially proud of from a work this year!
Here's one from the last chapter of TCAMT:
“Are you trying to get us killed?” Second Sister griped at him.
Cal’s jaw dropped. “I just saved everyone!”
“Well, don’t let it go to your head! I doubt your precious Jedi Order would’ve let you be so arrogant.”
“If you’re going to be ungrateful about it then -”
“Don’t bother, Cal,” Tech said, his eyes still on his datapad. “Second Sister is severe and unyielding, and I doubt that is something she will change.”
“You’re siding with me now?” Second Sister arched an eyebrow. “I thought you didn’t like us.”
“Just because I understand you does not mean I agree with you.”
I'm very proud of this bit hehehe. I felt like a genius for paralleling canon
14 - Give us a sneak peek of one of your upcoming works!
ohoho let's SEE. Here's a sneak peek of a fic that hopefully I'll be posting in the next couple of weeks!
Tech adjusted his goggles and peered at his own bowl of stew. “Exactly how many tablespoons of garlic powder did you put in here, Omega?”
“Uh . . .” Omega tapped the end of her spoon on her chin. “How many tablespoons are in half a jar?”
“You put half a jar of garlic powder in the stew?!” Crosshair demanded.
Wrecker shrugged after a bite or two. “Isn’t that bad, honestly."
