absolutely enraged to learn that a song i really liked from some shitty bandwagon midwest emo band is in fact just a cover of a semi-popular song from the 90s by a far superior artist
my silly little trimax theory that i will forever stand by is that i think razlo was the one who actually ran forward to catch jasmine when she fell off the roof when they were kids.
my main reasoning is that when he runs forward, he’s completely obscured in shadow, with only his left eye visible. which is how razlo is often portrayed in livio’s flashbacks!!
[Image ID: A panel from Trigun: Maximum volume 9, depicting the scene in which Livio runs forward to catch Jasmine as she falls off the orphanage, roof. In the panel, he rushes between two kids, who are depicted in normal detail, while he himself is obscured by shadow with only his left eye shown as a single white dot. end ID]
while I do think it was livio who was fronting by the time he actually caught jasmine, i sincerely believe it was razlo who got them running in the first place. plus, we see this scene from wolfwood’s point of view, and of course he wouldn’t be able to actually know if it was livio or not in that moment
I know it's been said before that a lot of the reasons people say they don't like cats just boil down to them not understanding cat body language, but that really is the case huh. "Cats are mean, they roll over for belly rubs and then attack you when you try to pet them!" Well okay, for dogs rolling over means they want belly rubs. But for cats, rolling over can mean one of three things:
I trust you to pet my belly
I trust you NOT to pet my belly
I want to play! Give me something to swat at!
If they mean the first one (it's rare but some cats do like belly rubs from trusted humans) then petting them will be fine
But if they mean the second one, if they're just rolling over to be more comfortable and trusting you to respect their personal space when they do so, then petting their belly is likely to make them feel offended or betrayed. And depending on their personality some cats might react to this invasion of personal space and betrayal of trust by scratching or biting the offending hand
If they mean the third one and the thing you offer them is your hand instead of a cat toy... They're going to try to play with your hand. And that unfortunately involves claws and teeth. You wouldn't offer your hand to a dog as a chew toy, would you?
And the thing is that there's really not a way to tell which of these three things a cat means unless you get to know them and understand their personality. Bc of this, the safest course of action when dealing with unfamiliar cats is to just avoid touching their bellies when they roll over. (And with familiar cats, avoid touching their bellies if you know they're likely to react with teeth and claws. This part should be common sense.) But some people would rather just assume that all animals operate like dogs and then get mad when cats operate like... Well. Cats
i hate to be on the fence ab it bc honestly i was really fucking upset at first about hades 2 Odysseus and i defo still am
and like, you don’t have to play the game obviously. do what you want. and you’re allowed to be bothered (i still am) but everyone is very up in arms over like four lines of dialogue in a game that will have over a hundred hours of play time. and a lot of people are saying things about how "the writers hate Penelope" but i have not been able to find ANY CREDIBLE SOURCE THAT CONFIRMS THIS. yall will just believe anything
idk the amount of Jumping To Conclusions going on is. 😬. and we’re not even in early access yet. like can you maybe wait. to form your opinions. until we have the whole story.
The decline of Yuji's character in shibuya is so heartbreaking. He went from being a happy go lucky teen who felt a sense of moral purpose to just wanting to die. I feel like in a way it mirrors Geto's mental breakdown except Yuji was surrounded by his friends to help him keep going.
Like, I think if Geto had the support that Yuji has he wouldn't have gone down the path he did. In the same way Gojo used Geto as his moral compass in the beginning, Gojo would have been Geto's moral compass. But bc of how individualist jujutsu society is and the nature of their work, Geto didn't have anyone to lean on and the deaths of his friends and the rat race that is exorcising curses took its toll on him.
Not otherkin but I believe in their beliefs almost solely bcos describing tender actions as 'human' ticks me off. 'The act of impulsive communal creation is so human' ywah well I bet some lizards could do that. And pretty well too
Not be screaming Insanely to you about strollonso again but I have thots. Thinkings. And yeah.
So like I love how everyone expected them to not get well w each other yk like people THOUGHT they would be on each others throats, and nando would commit warcrimes against lance etc etc(Especially after last years Austin incident yeahh....)WHILE they were actually ALREADY on good terms in 2021(the recent gifs that showed lance being like a teenager w crush ykyky)(plus I do remember photos of them interacting just casually) and before that yk when nando congratulated lance on his first podium in baku(which I'll never get out of my head gladly)
And like NOW they are also so well w each other ESPECIALLY now that they are teammates. And its NICE and they are COMFY plus WHAT HAPPENED IM BAHRAIN OFC. And now wih nando casually making lance photos..they are so comfortable. Like aughh.
Thats all I guess please add anything you have in mind aswell 😭😭
Well I think it's funny because, as you mentioned, one of the only pre-2023 moments of strollonso I remember distinctly is when they had the collision during the US gp 😭 and I feel like everyone saw that and were like "oh god Nando is gonna kill him when they're teammates", and then a similar situation kinda happened again at the very first gp when Lance hit the back of Nando but when Nando found out, he's just like "okay :)"
I wonder though sometimes what they'd be like if the AMR23 was like the prev one. Because I do think Nando does actually like Lance, but also I don't think you can deny that Nando's podiums are indeed a buffer. Kinda like him being like "anything you can do to me is literally nothing because I have a great car and I'm doing better than I have in years", like bro is on top of the world after so long, and it feels like he's gotten a second wind where nothing can really touch him or bother him.
I hate how everyone uses that "Lance is the owner's son, so of course Fernando will treat him nicely" argument. Like yeah that's a factor, but I feel like I see it more as Nando appreciating Lance bcs he factors into why Nando has a good car and a good team in the first place. I think tho my fav strollonso plot line is Nando being like "ugh ill put up w him I guess", but then he ends up having such a good car and finds out in the process that Lance is more than he ever considered(like in this fic ) And also the narrative of Nando being a very different, supportive teammate as compared to most other Lance has had. I like that they probably came into being teammates with certain assumptions, but now look at how comfy they are with each other!! Enough to tease each other is such public ways, like Lance saying certain things in interviews and Nando with his socmed. It's very fun!
BUT YEAH OH MY GOD THAT CLIP OF THEM WITH LANCE BEING SO TOUCHY AND SHOVEY WITH HIM!!!! people need to look back at older clips like that and the others you mentioned before they make assumptions about why they are the way they are >:(
At work, someone mentioned that they don't like their dog, and I said Wow, have you tried training it? Socialising it? (This is most people's pet problems.)
And he said, well it is completely trained, he's just used to outside dogs, but this dog is an inside dog since they've been living in a place with no yard. And his wife doesn't like the dog either because it will seek attention from her instead of going to lay in a corner all day.
Me, thinking all this is very, very strange - both of them not liking their own dog and also getting a dog in the first place if they were determined not to like it - suggested that maybe the kids could take care of it.
But the "problem" is evidently that the wife is at home alone, with the dog, most of the day, and never grew up with dogs, and just can't stand it.
I think this guy expected me to express some kind of sympathy, but, of course, I had none except for the dog.
And I just. If you get an animal, you make your bed and you LIE in it. "Not growing up" with dogs isn't an excuse to hate your pet and deny it attention. Grow up. This is a creature who is perfectly trained, sounds like a dream animal for anyone, thinks the world of you, and you just can't be bothered to even like it? Spend time with it???
This guy and his wife are losers. They need to get over themselves and figure out how to love their pet.
Heard from some other guy who failed to train his pet properly and was "scared for his kids."
These are a YOU problem, NOT an animal problem. Train your pet. Love your pet. It's not like it's hard; it's easy. If you're giving your pet a shit life or giving the pet up because you won't bother to put the time and energy into it, then you suck at life and shouldn't have gotten one in the first place.
alright well it turns out that Jay’s weekend highlight reel is just the entirety of his runs because he’s perfect and beautiful ❤️ it really is such a joy to work him in any sport!! and I know I said this in my last post, but it means the world to me that we are consistently complimented on his joy, enthusiasm, and clear expression of teamwork- we are both here to Have Fun, first and foremost!!! anything else is just a bonus
