For the last two years I’ve been setting aside antique linens that seem to evoke the feelings of the harvest season with the hopes of one day putting together the ultimate Autumn altar cloth collection. Well, that time is finally here! I am so excited to reveal these special creations, featuring beautiful embroidery motifs of wheat, leaves, and flowers in an array of autumn colors. After a long break, I am finally gearing up for my next shop update and release of new items! It will be sometime in late July. I will be sure to post the exact date in my profile once it’s chosen. Here’s a glimpse at some of the altar cloths I’ve been working on. As all of my altar cloths begin as antique linens, I was able to hunt down a few matching sets, so there will be some limited editions in addition to the usual one-of-a-kind pieces. For those of you who might be newcomers to my feed, all of my altar cloths start as antique linens that I then transform through hand dying and screen printing of my original designs. The end result is a functional piece of art that can be used to imbue your sacred spaces with extra magic as well as the energy of transformation and positive change. I had a lot of fun trying some new dye colors for this batch. My favorite is the russet sunset color in the third picture. This batch also debuts my newest screenprint of the Henbane wreath, an ode to the lore that newly departed souls are crowned with Henbane to ease their passing as they walk along the river Styx in the underworld. Although I didn’t make a new Puzzle Purse Valentine this year, I unearthed a handful of ones leftover from last year’s limited edition and they are now available in the shop at half-off their original price! This Victorian-inspired valentine, affectionately called the Love Spell Puzzle Purse, is a hand screen printed love note that unfolds in a spiraling pinwheel pattern, drawing your valentine deeper under your spell as they reveal more and more of the valentine. The “poem” is actually a love spell based on the ingredients and lore of medieval philtres (love potions) and love magic. Both sides are covered in original hand drawn sigils and symbols, furthering the magical quality of this special valentine. These were originally screen printed in a limited edition of 50 red and 50 gold. Upon their release last year, the red sold out immediately, however there are still 13 ✨GOLD✨ Puzzle Purses remaining from this limited edition, and I have made them available in the shop.
